Well the theme definitely appeals more to me than Pandemic's diseases haha. Miniatures are nice too. Board looks good. The amerigamer in me is happy watching XD
That was a brutal start with all the Shoggoths. Page 6 of the rules indicates you're right about not getting a relic from using a relic to kill a Shoggoth. You only get a card when you use the kill Shoggoth action. At 11:00, I assume you have an outbreak when you have to place a cultist but can't. Not sure, though. There was amazing luck at the end with actually running through the cultist deck with no old ones to reveal.
Darn! If that is the case we would have lost the game... bummer! Still the bad luck followed by the good luck made the playthrough pretty crazy! Thanks for watching!
I had the same problem, hence the reason I had to transition the video because we cut to look and just were not certain. I am calling it a house-rule that we won ha! To epic of a win to not count this one.I checked the player deck, and the next card was an Evil Stirs card! Can't cut it much closer than that!
I think you lost the game on 11:02. Since you couldn't lose your last sanity point, you should have placed a fourth cultist, which would have to an awakening ritual, and with the next two...well, all that thing about chaos, despair and destruction would get to happen. But it's a nice video anyway. Very fluid gameplay and narration!
Bummer so I would have huh. . . MAN!! I was hoping that since I couldn't "Place" a cultist or lose a sanity, nothing would happen. . . Yeah . . . Probably not correct but I went with it! Oh well, thanks so much for watching!
Great video and it warmed my cockles to hear another couple react to the word Boardwalk the same way my wife and I do lol Bruce Willis would kick Cthulhu's ass.

I totally get that! Just feels like there is too much randomness to me. Still a good game just not for us!
Wow! the luck have really change in mid game. Great roll from Monica and you had the "best" old ones in the games. Great win :)
Thanks! A rough beginning that ended well! Thanks for watching!

I'm not 100% sure, and haven't been able to find a clear answer on BGG or elsewhere. It's possible you really did win.

Hahaha!!
You lose if you can’t put a cultist out when you’re required to do so
Thanks!
@@OneStopCoopShop it’s so brutal.
It helped us a lot I was super confused about this game!
Glad to help!
Love it!
After watching this playthrough, I think this one is probably too random for us. Still, I like the idea of a shorter Cthulhu game!
Yes it is a bit random, but isn't that how many of the Lovecraft games are?
Yes, good point. They all seem to involve a lot of dice rolling.
Thanks so much for this play through! Just wanted to say though- in the intro slide it says reigh of Cthulhu rather than reign, ;D
Haha oops!!
5:05 Indeed 😜
Thx for watching!
Pronounce it time...lol
"Show goth" not "Shea geth"
Ha thanks!
Ha ! We have a grammar nazi here xD
