I used to have a Sega Mastersystem, but this is one game I never played. I'm so glad to see it here. I've only ever imagined what pre-Genesis Sonic was like... and now if I die tomorrow I can go know that I've seen every generation of Sonic.
I've been asking for years for a donation ticker so they don't have to interrupt the speed runner. Adam has great commentary and I think it's stupid to have a donation reader talking over the speed run. We are watching and donating for the speed run.

Hilarious run. Why was Naeglaria banned? He was creating donation incentives with his swearing and people were donating to get the tape off his mouth. Feels like it's become corporate sadly. 2013 felt more homely.
Would it be possible to implement some kind of scroll for donations during short(er) runs? Seems like as soon as donations were given the greenlight, something else came up. Just a minor complaint in light of the really incredible amounts of money being raised here.

PS2 in second longest running (2000-14) Atari 2600 in 3rd (1977-91)
Sonic Chaos is similar to 2, but also lets you pick Tails for an easier time. There was also a port of Sonic Spinball, never played it to know if it was any good though. I was never a fan of the Megadrive Version.

I'm pretty sure I'd be wearing sunglasses at that point too. Granted, it does look pretty stupid but your eyes need rest too, y'know.
Man, I wish I could've watched GDQ when it was about free will and personality whilst showing the run, instead of just stale commentary, with anything mildly spicy getting immediately banned.
I see what you mean but the donations are the whole purpose of speed runs anyway. And, i'm sure the people who give donations would like to be spotlighted. They should really find a way to notify the player so that he and the donation announcer guy can alternate between talking.
I am one of the guys that think that every single minute should be covered by a text bar up top or somewhere with the donations. But every minute that is not covered by good commentary and good mood etc should have a donation comment read out loud too. And that way even when they are bogged down by MAAANY comments they can focus on the ccever and super sad/happy awesome ones and do the rest later, but even so everyone was covered in some way. This way no one is skipped at all, super fair ^^
Reading donations during the run is extremely disruptive. I want to hear what the player is saying, so frustrating. Put the donations as text somewhere onscreen!

I disagree. Sonic 2 for the SMS was my childhood game and I still have fond memories of it. I even replayed it recently, still feels as great as ever!
Sonic 2 SMS was fine. The screen crunch on the game gear version, however, made it the hardest Sonic game in existence.

when i was younger, the mega drive was too expensive here in brazil, so i bought the master system III compact, with this sonic on his memory

I played the port of Spinball via Sonic Adventure DX's bonus mode. It is...not good. All of the features/charm of the original get lost.
