Micha, thank you very much for creating this tutorial video. I am a mechanic in the Navy and your video was very helpful to me. If you have more tutorial maintenance videos or would be willing to create more that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I have dreamed about getting an m923 a2 and customizing it (Crew cab) to be the ultimate “pickup”. The MK23 is even more ultimate! I just bought my first pickup (‘13 F250 SD) last May. I changed the oil Saturday and was stoked I could ride a creeper underneath and easily access the filter without using jacks or ramps. Now, I’m a bit jealous I can’t sit up under my pickup. Thank you for posting these videos on the MTVR maintenance and customizations. I can live vicariously through you! 😃
One option to make it easier to line up the filter bolts is to use a paint marker and mark the cover/truck so it is easy to see the orientation. Great video!
hey man i forgot to ask on the other video, have you changed your air dryer filters yet? if not i can tell you how to do it, and if so was it the ones that look like aluminum foil cylinders
Yea I have done both on the truck. One of the air cooler which has the foil cylinders, then next to that is the typical haldex dryer with the big oil filter looking can.

Congrats on the truck! Yes sitting up under this truck is pretty cool

That's smart. Mark them before disassembly then reassembly is easier. Thanks!
Great work bros!!!
Appreciate it!!
Invest in a 17 gal roller pan. You can do the plug and flters at the same time.
That's too pricey for me. Maybe a walmart kiddie pool lol
That will work too with a small sump pump lol

@@micahadams2 ok cool man, we did them once a year to keep moister out of the air system
Do you know if it's possible to get the left and right side filter mounts crossed? For example, are they right/left specific or universal?
They are symmetrical so you can swap them side to side. You just need to keep rotating the mount until the bolt holes line up.
The fluid gets changed yearly at least.
Maybe. My truck is a 2002 and I can't imagine it's been changed 17 times.
For the most part, once or twice,it's required that the filters from the Haldex air dryer get changed out on these trucks.
Where'd you buy the filters or part number
Did you watch the video?
What weight oil are you using?
I'm using Mobil Delvac 15-40w
So it holds close to 10 gal of oil ?
Yea right around 10 gal. Easy enough to buy two 5 gal buckets
Instructions unclear, put 10 gallons of 10w 40 in my Subaru Forester. She ain’t running right. 😂 cool truck
HA! Yea that wouldn't end well
Sinopec is Chinese oil.
You're referring to the old drain bucket I'm using?
@@micahadams2 Yah, someone got some Chinese made oil / lube.
I bought a bunch of steel chain from a guy and he stored it in the bucket. Now I just use it to drain oil
@@micahadams2 Yes
