SQL plus the ability to work within Office 365 (Excel / Access ) has made me an automation expert. - VBA (coding within Excel/MS-Access). - SQL (work with any ANSI database --> Oracle, Sql Server, Snowflake, DB2, etc).
Yes, working with VBA has helped me become invaluable to my department. I wished I learned Python earlier and focused more on building in SSMS instead of only working within Office 365. There's still great demand, but heading into a data scientist role, I need to upskill more.
Data Analyst and data science in general. I wish I prepped my learning towards becoming a data scientist or Quant. I didn't realize the various roles that I'd want to potentially become till later. The tips also apply to full stack development.
Thank you for sharing your experience!!
My pleasure!
