I have the PL-300 and a Master's in Business Analytics with a 4.0 GPA. Have not had a single data analyst interview and just use excel in my job. Guys the market is extremely bad right now so have some realistic expectations. What does that mean? Keep learning and building projects. Don't expect to do a course and a certification and get a job. Hope this helps anybody who wanted a reality check.
It depends. Some offer a recertification program with training modules. Others require you to retake the entire exam, sometimes with a discount. Generally, you'll be far ahead, and the cert won't be worth retaking.

The majority of certifications help only when paired or coupled with a bachelor's degree. In my case, I hold a STEM degree.
