This is perfect thank you. My 92 is starting to peel in the usual places
Awesome!!!! My dash is doing this in several places, and this is exactly what I've been looking for. THANK YOU!!!!
Awesome! Let us know how you make out.
I've used a little heat on the corner of the dash to help it mold back to shape, nice job!
It is good timing this video to motivate me to work on the pealing 2g passenger Air Bag :D
Get on it! 😀
1st 😎
And we needed this vid for the same problems
Thanks 👍
Great video... I just need to figure out how i am going to apply direct pressure to the top of my dashboard as it is alsi slanted.
Thanks for the video 👍
Best of luck in the repair.
Forgot to mention that vinager does a good job of cleaning up epoxy BEFORE it sets. I want to see more on the Esprit.
Yes, I do need to get back on that Esprit. Thank you for being patient. It will happen.
Long time viewer. Great content. Great knowledge base.
Id like to suggest a video topic. Would you be able to do a video on the differnces between 6 bolt and 7 bolt 4g63 engines? I kno there r many, many parts that are specific to each engine. Explain n e other lesser known differnces that could cause problems with a build. Give us your opinions on which engines r best for certain tuning setups or racing types. Im sure theres more on this subject too. Could turn into a series.
Thanx. Keep em comin
Thanks Eye Roll. That is an excellent topic for sure. I know I have mentioned a few differences off and on my videos, but not anything comprehensive and a specific video. I just put that on my idea list. Ideally I would have a 7 bolt beside a 6 bolt on a stand to do it. I don’t have much for 7 bolts as I collect 6 bolt blocks typically. I will figure something out.
Thank you for the support.
Thank you so much for posting this! Have you ever done this fix to the foam pieces above the driver's side panel that you removed? Those are peeling a bit on my car. I assume same process as the section above the glove box?
I am not sure precisely where you mean Tony, but I have repaired around where the binnacle piece meets the dash. Another common problem. Generally I use the same process and if it is really bad I have removed the entire dash and attack I that way. Don’t so as you know adds a ton of time.
@@SlippingTime I'm referring to the foam section directly below where the buttons for the pop-up headlights and dimmer switch are located, just to the right of the driver's side air vent.
@@CaptainTonus that would be similar to what I did with the passenger dash corner and should be easier.
I have a 99 mercury sable the dash closest to the windshield has lifted up from sun and age . I have duck tape on it now. Can I use that glue to repair it back in place? Thank you
It’s possible depending on the fabric and condition of it. You will have to make a judgement call.
Hi. You might try a layer or preferably two of wax paper. Epoxy doesn't adhear to wax. I would be worried of squeez out getting into the sock and glueing it to the vinyl. Then, I'm more sloppy than you.
Great tip Dean. Thanks so much for sharing it with the community.
18 November 2023 what glue did you use?
I show it at 2:30
