I think the threaded insert and nut are only held in place by a tiny amount of hardened UV resin on the outside. Because the UV can't get to the other resin that is between the wall and the metal since the wall is not that transparent, because it's full of sprinkles.

For future reference, when dealing with small spheres, the voids between the spheres make up about 35%-40% of the volume depending on how close you pack them (e.g. stirring improves packing). If you want a table, Wikipedia has one on the page for Random close pack. This can help you estimate your resin volumes better in future.

When the resin has hardened, lathe the clear resin down until it's just at the sprinkles. That way you'll get the colorful effect you want from the sprinkles as well as avoiding the unwanted mess that comes with lathed beads of sugar. Just my two cents.

Another option would have been just before polishing to purposely dissolve the exposed white sprinkles in hot water and maybe some light brushing if needed. Likely just a long soak though. Then go back and fill the bubbles left behind with Total Boat and turn it again before going on with the polishing step. The outer sprinkles would disappear, but you'd still see all the ones that were not exposed about 1mm deep in full color. Really hope we get to see this.

You should try the long sprinkles next in another handle I think they are colored all the way though. Just a idea and if you make it for that scoop with then you have choices of what handle to use. Also me and my wife really enjoy watching your videos, and getting to see all the fun things you make!

I was thinking the same thing, this is going to sound tedious but take out the white sprinkles seeing how the inside is already white perhaps it would make a really nice contrast
