I bought a house 2 years ago, first house i ever had with a power garage door. I literally forgot that my car had this option on it untill i saw this video. Thanks man!
For the rolling code opener, this is incorrect. You need to program the button with the remote like you did in step 1 (0:44-1:40). This won’t open your garage yet, but it has programmed the button to send the correct signal. THEN go push the learn button on the garage motor. Finally push and hold the button on the mirror that you just programmed for 2 seconds. Then let go. Then 2 sec. Then let go. Until the garage door responds. You don’t need to reprogram the button on the mirror with the remote. Hopefully that’s clear and helps those that can’t get it to work. Also the up/down arrows won’t work with a rolling code door. At least mine don’t.
I really wish that homelink was able to accept a code to allow the signal to be sent to the garage door opener. Just like unlocking your phone or using an electronic keypad for your front door. That would increase security significantly. Do you know if it does that?
@@dannyjohnsonsgarage yes I’ve cleared it first. And tried the whole sequence over several times….clearing, pairing… with car on and car off in case that makes a difference. 🤔
@@susanhipsky6791 it may be a different kind of garage door motor, which may require you to push the learn button on the motor itself before you can pair a device
Hey, I had the same problem with my 2021 tundra. Figured out a solution that may help. Program the button on the mirror as shown in the video, then hit learn on the garage motor, then come and hold the mirror button only down for 2 sec intervals until the garage door responds. Once you program the remote signal into the mirror button you don’t need to do it again.
Hey, check my comment about rolling code garage motors, maybe that will help? I couldn’t get mine to work following the video either and I have the same exact truck, 2021 tundra.

No intro splash, gets straight to the point, 10/10
I watched a handful of videos before yours and failed in setting up. Yours helped me connect it in 1 try :):)
FANTASTIC video sir! My wife and my sanity (which are closely related) thank you!
Thank you so much! This was the only thing that worked and I’ve watched a dozen videos today.
Thanks, worked perfectly on my 2024 Prius.
Great instructions 👍 !! I greatly appreciate it.

Worked perfectly! Thank you for this video!!
thank you! it worked on my 2019 camry!
Thanks Danny! Just programmed the wife’s Lexus
Awesome. Finally got a car new enough to do this.😅

Thank you!!!! Very helpful!!!!!
Perfect instruction. Thanks!
Brilliant. Thanks.
It worked wow.. Thank you
Hi …my two triangle buttons won’t flash green even though I’m following the instructions….any idea what I might be doing wrong? Thx!
Have you cleared it first by pushing and holding the two outer buttons?

@@dannyjohnsonsgarage ok I’ll look at that, thx!
Amazing thank you!
I can NEVER get this to work on my 2020 Tundra. My wife's Infiniti QX60's programming worked just fine.

What if you dont have a garage door remote?
You may be able to push the learn button on the garage door motor and then press your car button
I’ve done the steps a million times and I never get the arrows to blink. Now the other buttons don’t work either. I was trying to add one.
What’s odd is my tundra has arrows that light up and my same year sequoia has the arrows but they don’t light up
