When I was first studying astrology back in the 1980's, the 29th degree of a sign was referred to as the "weeping degree" by the older astrologer I was learning from. Makes sense. Departures often bring tears. The sad thing about Pluto sliding back and forth over 29 Cap is the uproar we Americans have to go through on the course to a more inclusive society. That 29th degree is really the death knell of the dinosaurs. But boy, they ain't goin' die quietly. Thanks again for another fabulous podcast.

I heard an eclipse story ,from a tour guide, living as I do in Turkey, the story tells of a long 6 year battle between two kingdoms, (the Medes & the Lydians ) which occurred around the time 585 BC, an astrologer named Thales in an effort to bring an end to the battle forewarned the Ionians that on a particular day, the wrath of the gods would be seen, so in the 6th year of the War, sure enough Thales prediction came about, and so terrified were the armies, that a peace treaty was struck, known as the eclipse of Thales, or the battle of the eclipse. , Thank you Christopher, enjoyed as always.xx

Couple things, 1) as a finance person, I would want to know so I could take out an excellent insurance policy that would ensure that my descendants were well taken care of. And 2) from my time at monastery, “anoretic” is thought of not as death but as an “emptying”…hence 8th & 12th house associations (Ketu south node, moksha liberation). In hororary, yes when the degree is anoretic, then the juice is not worth the squeeze and that’s why it’s seen as “negative”/it’s finished/nothing left over etc. Okay onward from my pause to write this 💕
My daughter and I traveled to a friend's house in Knoxville, TN for the 2017 eclipse. It was an amazing experience. Yes. It gets cooler. The birds go silent and crickets start chirping. Wild.

Christopher, I love your weekly lessons! This one was packed with information and new concepts. As an Aquarius rising, with progressed 3rd house Mars at 29º Gemini (ruling progressed first house - Aries - natal 10º - Scorpio, and natal 3rd house - Aries) I began working on a series of guidebooks based on my training: Anthropology. This is a revived idea from about 5 years ago, and now it is taking shape. Also, beginning my astrology practice, that is, making it public - I've been reading, learning, and doing my own charts for over 12 years, and learned so much, and now it is time to take it to the world. This eclipse speaks loudly of the practices above coming to life. Not only the eclipse, but other charts as well are saying the same thing, like a chorus from the sky, they are loudly saying: Now it's the time to get your work out to the public view! Thank you so much for another fascinating talk this week, Christopher! Unlike the previous episode, today's topic is much more fated (no more Venusian flirtations). 🥰 I watched the total eclipse in August 2017. Even though I captured the eclipse with a camera, the experience of being under the spell of a total eclipse cannot be duplicated by watching it on a screen. The curved arcs from the eclipsed sun remind me of the threads of fate binding everything in the universe. Now that I studied a little about astrology, I learned Saros cycle of the eclipses (18-19yrs). The 2017 eclipse belongs to a Saros series, born on 4/16/1512 with Venus and Jupiter conjunction - a benefic eclipse🙂 The 3/20/2023 eclipse belongs to a Saros series, born on 6/18/1518, with Mars conjunct Lot of Fortune in Aries on Asc, and Sun and Moon in Gemini. My interpretation is that this is a "speaking one's mind" type of eclipse but the fortune favors the bold. It'll be interesting to see how the anaretic dregree affects everything. I am also going to look into how Pluto and Sun square plays out in my family's charts since I don't have many planets in fixed signs (a lucky break). Loved this! You’re so informative, Christopher 😊 I’m sure I have shared this before but my son was born on that eclipse…he was due Aug 5, 2017 but had to be induced. He was born via emergency C-section just after the eclipse…21 Aug 17 1525 Phx AZ. Leonidas is his name, of course. With this upcoming eclipse…I know exactly how it hit 19 yrs ago. Found out that my fiancé of 7 yrs was cheating. Within the first wk of May, I had a new apartment in a new city and a new car. It was a whirlwind. He wound up marrying the girl that June. She is seven yrs younger than me and her birthday is the day before mine 😂 It was an intense time. I’m in a different situation now so no fear of that repeating but still, whoa!

Oh dear! I just checked my chart for any 29º placements and found I have my South Node (12th House) in Gemini @ 29°06’. I also have several planets with 28.5 or more. All I can say is that these past few months have been life-changing & pivotal for me and I have no idea what the future holds for me. My only son was unexpectedly diagnosed with a rapid, aggressive colon cancer the end of February and he just passed away from complications on Easter Sunday. I was grateful for having been invited into the home he shared with his beautiful, creative, artistic, fashionable wife who’s been at odds with me (her MIL) for >decade. It gave me the opportunity after having weeded out some of my own childhood trauma, to see for myself the way she surrounded him with beauty & elegance, but it was their tender interactions as my son grew weaker that really pierced my heart. I could see in the way he looked at her, she was his jewel, his precious treasure who filled his life with love, beauty, foreign culture, travel, adventure and so much more he didn’t want to let go, he didn’t want to leave her. She had captured his heart as no other had or could and I felt proud of my son. Proud he had found the love of his life, the kind of love few others find in life - that one special person who just rocks your world. She too, remaining strong for him, knowing he couldn’t bear to see her cry holding back her tears while remaining calm, loving, tender, responsive to his needs, the double edged sword of love. So tender and sad it was piercing my heart as tears silently rolled down my cheeks. Yet, I felt very much at peace knowing my son had lived a great life, accomplishing amazing goals against great odds with a friendly, likable, “Everyone Loves Raymond’ kind spirit about him and his beautiful, multi-cultural, creative, inspiring wife by his side. It’s a tremendous, heartbreaking, life changing loss for me it’s changed the entire landscape of my future. I disengaged from my dysfunctional abusive family several months ago after 9 months of therapy. The only way I could free myself from the cloud of illusion I lived under having been raised the invisible/lost child, black sheep/scapegoat was to completely extricate myself from the entire dysfunctional family system. Now that my son is gone there’s really nothing physically anchoring me to my past. I feel the wilderness calling, freedom, adventure, exploration! I can pack up and go anywhere I want. I can be a Gypsy, a Nomad traveling & sightseeing, following my heart’s desire just living one day at a time. Which is also I believe what the perfection of having my North Node (6th House) in Sagittarius @ 29°06’ is all about. Leaving the trauma/drama/reputation/past behind and exploring, daring to follow your heart and the call of your spirit.

As one who lives in the Southern Hemisphere (Australia) I am always appreciative when an astrologer based in the Northern Hemisphere acknowledges the differences astrologically. So I have my Nth Node in Leo, My moon in Scorpio and my Saturn is at 29 degree in Capricorn .... I can relate to everything you have described in a certain area of my life, and there's a massive part of me (Scorpio moon), that wants to just go back to bed and pull the covers over myself. Thank you Christopher and always love your weekly sessions. I have Saturn in Pisces at the 29th degree so I have always had dread around 29 degrees. It always feels like a heavy yoke and sometimes I don't have the strength to bear it. But then my Aries Moon jumps in to tell me to "Man Up" even though I am an a menopausal old lady of 56. But thank goodness for my Aries Moon even though it has a bad rep but it does come in handy sometimes. As they say, Mars helps us get out of bed in the morning instead of laying there waiting for the Apocalypse (Saturn in Pisces 29).
I'm in the Southern hemisphere and I CAN relate to aries as connected to beginnings although in our winter season. In my country there is this idea that the year starts after Carnaval, in March. Even if the school year starts before that sometimes. I just love your reflecting on whatever - you are so bright!

I'll try not to make a long comment, but I think you hit upon more truisms this week, than I've heard from you before! I know I shouldn't have procrastinated "it" this long. I do this all the time. I worked in public accounting, There is often a race to the finish line. When entasked with a project, the reality of time limitations are blurred, other side projects or areas of related interest come up.....or in true procrastination style, like writing a paper in college, all of sudden the need to re-organize my closet seems a good idea. (These are all nice diversions and things get done...thank the God's Saturn and Mars intervene at the end!) To add to that, somehow I know "it" is way more critical than any tax deadline ever was. I am struggling with dichotomies, as you mentioned.....caring for and sharing my (Taurean) possessions. ....fighting with love and compassion to defend (Leo style) ..both in a manner that is fair to me and others.. I think I see a pattern, with Saturn in aquarius....(which was different for me than others, but a battle of confinement in a sense) .....eeek!!! gotta go!! till next week!!!

25:10 @Christoper it’s 13.33 degrees X 27; with 4ish degrees superimposed within for the 28th lunar mansion at the 0-4ishDegree Aquarius (tropical/western) point. The “5” system is anytime you have aether as the 5th element; the 4 system is fire (dharma), artha (earth), kamma (air), moksha(water) and that 4th moksha when combined with aether in 5 system (you have to think of it as layered fractals) that’s when you get the anoretic point because it’s when you get proper liberation and for earthy people liberation looks like death/destruction/bad etc but it’s simply a conversion of matter/materia to espiritus Okay back to your vid ☺️🙏🏼

Interesting question. I'd say that two cycles are running at the same time. Two years comprise two different signs / houses. Coming to think of it, it actually isn't that special. We always have various transits triggering our chart. 🙂

Thank you so much for another fascinating talk this week, Christopher! Unlike the previous episode, today's topic is much more fated (no more Venusian flirtations). 🥰
I watched the total eclipse in August 2017. Even though I captured the eclipse with a camera, the experience of being under the spell of a total eclipse cannot be duplicated by watching it on a screen. The curved arcs from the eclipsed sun remind me of the threads of fate binding everything in the universe.
Now that I studied a little about astrology, I learned Saros cycle of the eclipses (18-19yrs). The 2017 eclipse belongs to a Saros series, born on 4/16/1512 with Venus and Jupiter conjunction - a benefic eclipse🙂
The 3/20/2023 eclipse belongs to a Saros series, born on 6/18/1518, with Mars conjunct Lot of Fortune in Aries on Asc, and Sun and Moon in Gemini. My interpretation is that this is a "speaking one's mind" type of eclipse but the fortune favors the bold. It'll be interesting to see how the anaretic dregree affects everything.
I am also going to look into how Pluto and Sun square plays out in my family's charts since I don't have many planets in fixed signs (a lucky break). Again thanks so much for the wonderful and thought provoking talk!!❤❤

I’m sure I have shared this before but my son was born on that eclipse…he was due Aug 5, 2017 but had to be induced. He was born via emergency C-section just after the eclipse…21 Aug 17 1525 Phx AZ. Leonidas is his name, of course.
With this upcoming eclipse…I know exactly how it hit 19 yrs ago. Found out that my fiancé of 7 yrs was cheating. Within the first wk of May, I had a new apartment in a new city and a new car. It was a whirlwind. He wound up marrying the girl that June. She is seven yrs younger than me and her birthday is the day before mine 😂 It was an intense time. I’m in a different situation now so no fear of that repeating but still, whoa!
Wow! That sounds like quite an Eclipse story. The course correction's aren't always easy, but they often wind up working out just the same. 😊

Oh dear! I just checked my chart for any 29º placements and found I have my South Node (12th House) in Gemini @ 29°06’. I also have several planets with 28.5 or more. All I can say is that these past few months have been life-changing & pivotal for me and I have no idea what the future holds for me. My only son was unexpectedly diagnosed with a rapid, aggressive colon cancer the end of February and he just passed away from complications on Easter Sunday. I was grateful for having been invited into the home he shared with his beautiful, creative, artistic, fashionable wife who’s been at odds with me (her MIL) for >decade. It gave me the opportunity after having weeded out some of my own childhood trauma, to see for myself the way she surrounded him with beauty & elegance, but it was their tender interactions as my son grew weaker that really pierced my heart. I could see in the way he looked at her, she was his jewel, his precious treasure who filled his life with love, beauty, foreign culture, travel, adventure and so much more he didn’t want to let go, he didn’t want to leave her. She had captured his heart as no other had or could and I felt proud of my son. Proud he had found the love of his life, the kind of love few others find in life - that one special person who just rocks your world. She too, remaining strong for him, knowing he couldn’t bear to see her cry holding back her tears while remaining calm, loving, tender, responsive to his needs, the double edged sword of love. So tender and sad it was piercing my heart as tears silently rolled down my cheeks. Yet, I felt very much at peace knowing my son had lived a great life, accomplishing amazing goals against great odds with a friendly, likable, “Everyone Loves Raymond’ kind spirit about him and his beautiful, multi-cultural, creative, inspiring wife by his side.
It’s a tremendous, heartbreaking, life changing loss for me it’s changed the entire landscape of my future. I disengaged from my dysfunctional abusive family several months ago after 9 months of therapy. The only way I could free myself from the cloud of illusion I lived under having been raised the invisible/lost child, black sheep/scapegoat was to completely extricate myself from the entire dysfunctional family system. Now that my son is gone there’s really nothing physically anchoring me to my past. I feel the wilderness calling, freedom, adventure, exploration! I can pack up and go anywhere I want. I can be a Gypsy, a Nomad traveling & sightseeing, following my heart’s desire just living one day at a time. Which is also I believe what the perfection of having my North Node (6th House) in Sagittarius @ 29°06’ is all about. Leaving the trauma/drama/reputation/past behind and exploring, daring to follow your heart and the call of your spirit.

Wow!, Always so interesting Christopher. As one who lives in the Southern Hemisphere (Australia) I am always appreciative when an astrologer based in the Northern Hemisphere acknowledges the differences astrologically.
So I have my Nth Node in Leo, My moon in Scorpio and my Saturn is at 29 degree in Capricorn .... I can relate to everything you have described in a certain area of my life, and there's a massive part of me (Scorpio moon), that wants to just go back to bed and pull the covers over myself.

This was such an amazing explanation of what eclipses are and what to expect... And all of it is happening in my 10th house...I was so fed up with Saturn-Uranus squares back in 2021 (Uranus is in my 10th house now). Tired of stupid work changes.

Thank you, Christopher. I have my 29 degrees of Aries in the 4th house. I have been trying to get rid of stuff so I could move some day. It is getting nerve-wracking especially since a psychic medium said that I would move due to an earthquake. My two-story apartment is not built well. Eek!
I'm sure you'll be OK. We don't get a lot of eclipses with earthquakes these days. At least not literal ones. Metaphorical ones however might be a different story. 😊
Thank you Christopher and always love your weekly sessions. I have Saturn in Pisces at the 29th degree so I have always had dread around 29 degrees. It always feels like a heavy yoke and sometimes I don't have the strength to bear it. But then my Aries Moon jumps in to tell me to "Man Up" even though I am an a menopausal old lady of 56. But thank goodness for my Aries Moon even though it has a bad rep but it does come in handy sometimes. As they say, Mars helps us get out of bed in the morning instead of laying there waiting for the Apocalypse (Saturn in Pisces 29).

I'm in the Southern hemisphere and I CAN relate to aries as connected to beginnings although in our winter season. In my country there is this idea that the year starts after Carnaval, in March. Even if the school year starts before that sometimes.

I'll try not to make a long comment, but I think you hit upon more truisms this week, than I've heard from you before! I know I shouldn't have procrastinated "it" this long. I do this all the time. I worked in public accounting, There is often a race to the finish line. When entasked with a project, the reality of time limitations are blurred, other side projects or areas of related interest come up.....or in true procrastination style, like writing a paper in college, all of sudden the need to re-organize my closet seems a good idea. (These are all nice diversions and things get done...thank the God's Saturn and Mars intervene at the end!) To add to that, somehow I know "it" is way more critical than any tax deadline ever was. I am struggling with dichotomies, as you mentioned.....caring for and sharing my (Taurean) possessions. ....fighting with love and compassion to defend (Leo style) ..both in a manner that is fair to me and others.. I think I see a pattern, with Saturn in aquarius....(which was different for me than others, but a battle of confinement in a sense) .....eeek!!! gotta go!! till next week!!!

The “5” system is anytime you have aether as the 5th element; the 4 system is fire (dharma), artha (earth), kamma (air), moksha(water) and that 4th moksha when combined with aether in 5 system (you have to think of it as layered fractals) that’s when you get the anoretic point because it’s when you get proper liberation and for earthy people liberation looks like death/destruction/bad etc but it’s simply a conversion of matter/materia to espiritus

You mentioned you've seen the effects of a solar eclipse even play out over two years. What's your opinion on a lunar and solar eclipse which follows during this period - the end of a cycle and start of a new, or double trouble? 😂 😮
Interesting question. I'd say that two cycles are running at the same time. Two years comprise two different signs / houses. Coming to think of it, it actually isn't that special. We always have various transits triggering our chart. 🙂
