- Golos, Tireless Pilgrim vs. Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge vs. Reaper King vs. Korvold, Fae-Cursed King
Today's video is brought to you by Card Kingdom. You can pick up some cards and support the show at www.cardkingdom.com
Two weeks ago we asked you, the viewers, to submit decks that you'd like to see us play in a future episode. The turnout was fantastic -- over 100 deck submissions! -- and we selected four of our favorites to duke it out for another Viewer Submitted Decks episode! Here's what we've got:
Crim plays a unique Grixis Spellslinger Tokens deck led by Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge (submitted by Mercury01)
Richard wants to blow up all of his opponents' permanents, piloting a Scarecrow Tokens list led by Reaper King (submitted by Talespinner Lore)
Seth pilots a "janky" Jund Eldrazi Sacrifice deck led by the very "janky" Korvold, Fae-Cursed King (submitted by Evan Mortensen)
Tomer pilots a $50 budget brew, a flashy Ultimatum Tribal deck led by Golos, Tireless Pilgrim (submitted by Rave20XX)
Will Richard succeed in making his opponents miserable? How "janky" is Seth's Korvold deck? Will Golos or Jeleva cast more of Tomer's ultimatums? Find out now in this episode of Commander Clash!

21: Intro and Deck Techs
6:20 Game 1
50:49 Game 2
2:15:50 Wrap Up Игры
4:00 Crim the player with the least lands cheers on land destruction, truly an agent of chaos.
He has the least to lose
55:26 seths face just randomly popping up gave me a good laugh
Tomer has a pretty common tell; when he doesn't have answers in hand he complains a lot about his opponent's plays. When he has answers or a powerful plan for his turn, he's way more positive during others' turns.
Seth: "Im playing a korvold deck that's about eldrazi spawns and scions"
Me: "oh that seems like a cute casual and funny deck that's fun to play against and definitely wont one-shot everyone in a single turn"
Seth: *(looks at chandra's ignition and ashnod's altar in hand)* "You sure about that bro?"
Now. Everyone, you must submit only hedron archive decks to Tomer next time.
puzzlinggamer nikya 4+ drop ramp tribal lol. Goreclaw, zendikar resurgent, nyxbloom ancient, savage ventmaw, every 4+ mana land ramp spell like boundless realms, greedy mana rocks like coveted jewel, red has some weird stuff like treasonous ogre and neheb. The challenge is no ramp cards under 4 cmc.
@@jakeapplegate6642 Don't forget Brass's Bounty.
Nah, bad artifact tribal with hatchery to seth.
Deal nothing but strip mine hedron archive deck
@@cytheceleryguy3671 have a mix between snow covered land and basic lands.
19:10 if you play solemn first, you can dualcast into explosive vegetation next turn.
I was hoping he was gonna do that
I came looking for this comment. I was so upset when he didn’t
The editor is the best part about Commander Clash.
I'd get the Jeskai eye, on my right temple under my hair.
I would get the Orzhov logo tattooed on my right cheek
I actually have the Dimir symbol on my left elbow
These commanders seem to personify these guys to me:
Tomer: Edric
Seth: Yarok
Richard: Tiny Bones
Crim: Whatever lets him top+Counterbalance
so elsha for crim?
@@aringrey YESSS
Agree with the tiny bones, but for skeleton tribal, not discard 😉
@@nicholasrolo886 Aminatou works as well, AND it's Esper :)
@@nicholasrolo886 I think Alela fits Crim the best. A: that's one of his actual commander decks. B: she can be used as a stax commander, which I think his does. C: he loves faeries. D: he seems to really like Esper.
"I do want to get the Dimir symbol tattooed on me."
I knew there was a reason you were my favorite Crim.
Thank you for playing my deck, Crim! I knew you'd like it.
Now brewing a “Hedron Kaldra”, where every card has hedrons in the art and the only intended win con is getting Kaldra
Next time you do a viewer submitted deck I'm going have it title Goldfish Poo Poo Viewer Deck. Thanks credit to Tomer for the name.
Will it be a merfolk / ooze deck ? Please say yes, please.
@@mauddib7830 it'll be Moonfolk or kinkin or any other archetype that hasn't won a Match yet lol
@@gustavosolano4615 Ya but fish poo...
So we're assembling Khaldra? Cool cool
@@commanderpower99 I actually think Kaldra was on the battlefield for a victory a while back
I wanted to thank you guys for the work you do!
Who is the editor, how does he have so much sass and are they single?
Did they say anything in this one?
@@Niuttuc yes, several times
Lubing up the locals lol
Damn Phirerexians, they’re putting chemicals in the locals to make them loyal to the glories of Phyrexia!
Yes, that's Myr skulls and spines being grafted into other creatures.
Phyrexians love lubing up the locals with their nasty oil
Crim: I don't have a way to kill korvold
Reality: korvold is at 11 toughness and Crim has a blasphemous act. Checking card please wait ....*elevator music*
13 damage to each creature. That checks out dude
He could have even cast the Volcanic Offering and dealt 14 to Korvald.
Not the greatest control player but definitely a trol player
Yeah that was really confusing
"lubing up the locals".
also pooh-pooh as a verb is supposed to be pronounced that way.
Weird but fun energy with this one. I really liked it!
Tomer! You have spell doublers for a reason. Use them, lol. You could have easily T4 solemn into T5 explosive vegetation and increasing vengeance it for 4 lands!
Why did Tomer not cast the.mystic retrieval after Crim cast damnation? He had enough Mana to conflux, which would grab him the cards he needed to maybe win the game?
26:36 Quote of the Century right there.
Recommended for submitting a Deck to Tomer:
1) Must have Hedron Archive
2) Every card must somehow draw cards or add cards to hand
3) Must have Kaldra
4) Must have all snow-covered basic lands
must also have the magnifying glass
6) must have moonfolk
3 and 2 contradict each other
@@off-meta9962 Correct but sacrifices must be made for the great ksldra
How kind of them to Lube up the Locals
Tomer says "PooPoo" the way a young British boy says "PaPa".
Does the new commander ruling now trigger the M20 tomb thing?
The only thing that we are missing is a "-The Goldfish crew gets drunk- commander clash night". I would love to watch their decision making thoughs on the episode 😂
Plssss, guyssss
is Crim old enough ;)
If I got a tatoo on my face It would be "Did you pay the one?" On my forehead.
Tomer's entire Mana base was Basic lands, and Basic lands with extra steps.
theyre definitely myr in Xenograft!! The phyrexians came in (hence the phyrexian watermark on the card) and transformed Mirrodin's previous inhabitants (the myr) into cyborg half-metal half-flesh creatures.
I feel like Dr. Manhattan, because the Reaper King episode just happened for me, lol. May have been a rewatch, but I forget
Sweet game. My 2 favorite cards won!
"My brand of magic involves you not playing magic" says the blue player.........
Why at 29:47 didn't Tomer copy the spell that countered Golos (countering also the trigger)?
They only copy his own spells
55:26 :D TINY SETH!!!! AAAAAAA :D
In Hawaiian Pupu means appetizer, so all the time at dinner people ask, "Do you want some pupus?" lol
Did they change the ruling on xenograft? I know that it was ruled that it only applies to creatures on the battlefield at that time so it seems like a non-bo with reaper king and don't understand why they were afraid I tried to wait to see if it worked differently than I thought but then it was exiled.
Xenograft DOES only apply to creatures on the battlefield. However, creatures you control will enter the battlefield as that creature type (e.g. Scarecrow) and so can get 'seen' by Reaper King's ability and will trigger it. The ability is on etb, not on cast.
@@anaphysik thank you
Xenograft is a static ability that applies to all creatures you control at all times, so it has always worked. Say you had Xenograft out, naming Scarecrow, and you cast a Dragon. It's a Dragon in your hand and on the stack, but it is also a Scarecrow from the moment it enters the battlefield under your control until the moment your control of it ends.
Is there something I'm missing? Why didn't Crim play Blasphemous Act while Korvald was still killable, but instead let Korvald untap and win?
Seth had enough to sac to make him a 14/14 but Crim still should have done it to force the Artist sac (or save the artist and Korvald would die)
@@Brodysseous 37:54 I'm not sure I see a sac outlet here
26:38 for the true lore of pyrexia that I didnt know existed and im happy It does now
"I'll have to discard to handsize" says Seth after metioning his tapped reliquary tower
My playgroup is allowing me to build a “daddy” tribal deck. Morophon naming daddies, and giving all of the canon dads of MTG the super type “Daddy” and go from there
I just noticed that Golos has little wubrg flags across its body
Also, I want to see Tomer cosplay Colin Farrell's Bullseye
Can we have the chainer and all-stars decklists? Maybe I overlooked them but I couldn’t find them.

@@Niuttuc Thank you, good sir.
Seth: destroys table with "janky" korvold
Also Seth: Crim breathing is a problem guys
I went up to like the video at the jojo reference but realized I’d already liked the video...
I made a janky korvold food token deck and it’s still pretty decent. I hate how all those brawl pre con commanders and some other recent commanders like Kinnan just feel like easy mode
Covid and all the work and stuff from home has been rough on most online stuff that is smaller than having lobbyist size domains.
Whoops I never remember to submit. I think about it after the end of the video but then never remember
@Crim, vaguely disappointed I cannot share mine here because RUclips app won't let me, but go for the Dimir Tattoo!
(It's on my shoulder, nothing dirty here)
Can’t you play cards from Brilliant Ultimatum in future turns?
No, you play the cards as part of the resolution of the spell.
At 1:35:35 it would've been WAY better to cast mystic retrieval instead of golos. You could get back doublecast and brilliant ultimatum which would both be castable the next turn. Getting 3 brilliant ultimatums is almost certainly better than just spinning the golos wheel, and it wouldn't leave you vulnerable to creature removal.
Golos can be activated at instant speed, so creature removal isn't really an issue
1:21:05 (ish)
I feel like "Don't make the same mistakes" would make for an unironically good ironic tattoo
When we get Cons back, We will see Crim with a Hedron Archive tattoo'd into his forehead like Charles Manson.
In game two Tomer could have easily casted mystical retrieval to get one of the spells from cast that are in his graveyard...
Lol, 1:04:30 Seth didn't clamp the Blood Artist because he said he would have to discard to hand size while having a tapped Reliquary Tower
And everyone drops hints, but Seth doesn't get it. XD
Thank you, Rave20xx.
What?!? That's why no one has played my Rayami deck (not Anklyosaurus's deck though)
The golos deck. Wow so original
Can someone explain why they tapped their mana for no value? Tapping for mana and passing without using it?
Because if they don't have any responses Moto asks them anyways about a response so its just easier to tap out.
@@winssports4830 thxs
To expand on JOSHUA Stone's answer, MODO has an option called "No Possible Play: Yield All" (default hotkey: 8, lasts the entire game or until turned off by hitting 8 again), which automatically passes priority when you're literally unable to do *anything* (i.e. all your mana is tapped and you have no zero-mana abilities/spells -- it won't pass if you have nothing in hand, only if you literally cannot activate mana abilities/etc). For the vast majority of games, 8 saves a bunch of clock time for almost no downside whatsoever -- although in few formats, where things like Force of Will, Daze, Force of Negation, Fireblast, and (no joke) Gathan Raiders exist, 8 does have the unfortunate liability of possibly revealing whether or not you have zero-mana plays available, and there are fringe cases like wanting-to-concede-in-response-to-a-hand-revealing-spell where 8 can be a slight liability. Still, most of the time 8 is just pure quality-of-life improvement that makes games go faster. Basically, it's the good version of the evil 6 (the pass-through-rest-of-turn hotkey that you will often see screw over players).
However, 8 only passes if you have literally nothing to do. Since Commander Clash is a casual event, and since Commander games take even longer than normal games, they often intentionally tap out in order to reap the time-and-click-saving benefits of 8.
1:55 It looks like the plan of the deck is to bring Eldrazi into play with Spawnsire of Ulamog but that doesn't work in commander :D
Hey it's me! The creator of the deck! Actually the reason spawnsire is there is because it goes infinite with ashnods altar
@@mudorios6204 that's true, I missed that because I'm usually looking to combo much earlier than 10 mana lol
They should all do the same commander, but at 50, 100, 150, and 200 dollar budgets, based on win percentage with the highest at the lowest budget
Looking for Tomer punt he announced on Twitter.
It's suppose to be in next week's episode.
@@jasonkorf7700 "I stand corrected. Thank you ."
well he did not read golos plus double vision and spin on other people's turns so he missed out on a potential 4 free dualcasts

*What is happening?*
Release the gameplay for the commander clash all stars..
seth when you guys do competitive can i get you to run my oops all spells deck as an against the odds competitive
Xenografting is stuff like using pig stem cells for marrow transfusions or using pig hearts for heart transplants
Lol tomer complaining about how powerful korvold is while playing golos
Boy, there seems to be a tradition that every time we get to viewer submitted week we end getting miserable games. >
55:26 is my favorite part.

Sees game 1 length. Sees description. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
Hedron Archive teardrop would be the gangster ass nerdy shit.
with all of the copy effect even the Absorb vis in tomers hand would have killed everyone too
to be fair peregrination is very flavorful in a golos deck
Can we please get Popoo commander clash shirts?
All this tattoo talk...
At least you didn’t get drunkenly “Bite Me” tattooed on your collar bone. Lol
Nooooo not after all the work I did why didn't u play my step tribal deck it was actually good
The Blasphemous Act punt in game 1 may be the single most senseless play I've ever seen. Even if Seth didn't storm off (which, with a pawn in play in a Korvold deck it's hard *not* to) There was no way Crim was untapping with Korvold in Blasphemous Act range. Every creature cast is 2 creatures sacked and Seth has deserts.
Definitely don't watch these vids for the mtg content but for the face tat's and poupou discussion lol.
im a bit sad that my deck wasn't picked but it was a great episode anyways
Did you make the mistake of putting Hedron archive in it?
@@cerilious no i didn't it was a five color panharmonicon deck with new cards form jumpstart

You guys are laughing for nothing way too much. Love the content regardless.
Next time someone submits a golos deck. Please... just... just... ramp on curve.
Next time crim you’ll play my “we built this city on saga control”!
This would have been such a funny episode of someone chose my Rayami budget deck LOL!
