The girls' separation storyline at least had some potential with regards to what it revealed about Rory and Lorelai's characters, although they resolved it without really resolving anything. A missed opportunity. But the Luke's long-lost daughter storyline was just an unredeemable mess. Terrible idea, terrible execution. Was ASP on crack that year?
I love Luke and Lorelai . I felt they had a connection the moment they met . And I wanted them to be together , and they are so cute. I shipped them the moment I saw them . And I knew he liked her then. Lorelai is my favorite character in the show
The whole storyline of Luke having a daughter was so random and unexpected just thrown in for drama's sake like Dean and Rory's affair. It really seemed unnecessary and unrealistic. I guess they really wanted Luke to be able to relate to Lorelai more since he has a daughter now, but when Lorelai offers advice he shuts her down; his attitude and dismissal of her when she tried to help him really bugged me. And Anna was just so ridiculous. Luke's fiancée is obviously gonna be a part of his daughter's life.
many times we feel like we are not worthy of anything or that nobody is worthy of us, this sensation comes in waves and you feel like you are drowning, you feel like you are alone and you just want peace, you just want someone to understand and to choose you, and never leave your side, and you’re scared to trust again, but there is someone that will never leave or forsake you, someone that can give you happiness and peace: Jesus Christ is our true friend that loves us unconditionally and if we come to Him and repent He will forgive us and He now is waiting for us to go to Him, we don’t have to fix ourselves before turning to Him, we have to let Him help us, so turn to Him right now because He loves you and wants to be with you! As i christian the best advice i think i can give is to trust The Lord always, even through you may not understand why certain things happen, you may not understand some concepts or it is hard to change at first, but trust in Him, He is the only one that knows what’s good for us and knows what truly means to be righteous. If you do not believe or have certain opinions based on what you’ve heard or based on christians please just look at the faith and at Jesus, only at what the Bible said and what Jesus said, make a judgment based on the Leader not of us, because The Lord Himself told us that because we are not acting as we should, as His followers, because we are not being disciplined and because we don’t love anymore as we should we need to change, and Jesus said that everything we need to do we should do with love and with the thought of helping and bringing people back to Him, basically to start to be more like Him and less like our old self, so please just read the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, then, after you have an idea about it just start to read everything, this will change you in better, please just give it a chance and actually try to understand, don’t give up because it is hard at first, just try please, this saved my life now i’m praying that will help you also. In Jesus Name i claim Amen😊
I haven't seen this in ages and I forgot the "no more secrets" and the "finding out you might have a kid and not tell your fiance about" literally happened in the SAME F*CKING EPISODE. Seriously, I will never forgive the writers for this. Lorelai should have known! She should have been at the science fair with Luke to support him!
Obviously a lot of other people hate the April storyline but probably not for the same reason I do. I loved the concept that Luke was a father figure to Rory since Christopher was never around. Despite that being said in the show, we rarely got to see Luke and Rory having that relationship. So I feel like giving Luke a biological daughter just ruined any chance of us seeing that relationship again.
Yeah!! Especially since just a little bit ago when he gave Rory his mother’s or grandmother’s necklace she introduced him as “step father to be” and he was all shook up and taken aback.
S6 breaks my heart. The second Rory comes back April has to come into the picture. Why isn’t Lorelai allowed to be happy? Everything Luke did was so out of character! There is no way I believe he would keep a secret that long, or that when she found out that he wouldn’t notice how much he was hurting her. Earlier in the series he notices that she doesn’t want to eat breakfast at home from a look alone, then he doesn’t notice when she’s close to tears over April?! It destroys me. I think April could’ve been a beautiful interesting story but they used it to make her unhappy and that’s so angering.
Why did the writers have to screw everything up? If Luke had just told Lorelei about April and defended Lorelai and told Anna that he might enlist her help before the birthday party and introduced them. But no there just had to be drama...
Ikrrr the last few seasons seemed to ruin the whole awesome storyline going on....I was relieved that they got married in the revival but that should've happened in the original
I never understood how it still took Loreli so long to find out. Stars Holllow is full if gossips, Luke and April aren't exactly quiet and the diner is full of people!
i don't get why everyone hates april. it wasn't her fault at all. she just wanted to get to know her dad. anna and luke should've handled it way better imo

I think he needed this plot to understand why Christopher will always be in her life because he didn't really understand until he became a dad to a single mom with a daughter but I hated that they used this to cause their break up and drama for entertainment purposes.
Exactly! Freaking agree! Still I hate season 6 and 7 completely sucks. And the revival was alright. But I love these two - such a great couple and amazing actors.

Lorelai says Luke won't just be able to run away to his "clubhouse" once they're married, like Luke isn't still going to own the diner and still have the upstairs "office". Him having that "clubhouse" is a good thing, because sometimes you need a little space and Luke will always have that as long as he owns the building.
it just hurts cause a good thing about this season is that they know they found their person, so they deserved the wedding and the marriage life and living in that house together, and clearly Luke wanted kids with her, so they deserved that as well and got none of that...
I like April and I forgave it Luke, that he didn‘t tell Lorelai, but I _hate_ Anna for ruining everthing. If she didn‘t hide April for 12 years, if she didn‘t forbit Lorelai to be a Part of Annas life, Luke and Lorelai could‘ve work it out. But so, Lorelai had to keep distance to April and so also to Luke, who didn‘t want to make something wrong and lose his daughter, because this woman can‘t cope, that Lukes *fiancée* wants to know the daughter of her boyfriend.
Luke makes her promise not tell any secrets and then keeps thd biggest secret. Luke gets extremely involved in Rory's life bur then doesn't let Lorelai bond with his daughter.. Okay so I know everybody's focus on the keeping secrets part between Luke and Lorelai but I think it's interesting that she has to figure out who her daddy is between three men when it seems very clear that Anna always knew that Luke was April's father. Honestly it makes me wonder who else she got a hair sample from and why didn't they show up at the science fair LOL
Then he would go on to lie to her for 2 months about his kid, and exclude her from his relationship with his daughter, while including everyone else. Luke did not deserve Lorelei.
s6&7 SUCK. there was no need to wreck luke and lorelai’s relationship. if i were writing it, they would have still broken up the first time and gotten back tgth (bc it rly showed how much they cared and needed each other. lorelai cared way more abt this break up than any others) and then they would get back tgth like they did. later on lorelai would find out she was pregnant and start to freak out. she would tell luke in some really long rant and she would start crying and luke would stay calm and just comfort her. bc all she ever needed was “the whole package”. luke would be great the entire time she is pregnant and thennnn when lorelai goes into labor luke has his little freak out “i’m gonna be a dad” moment but he runs into jess who then calms him down and tells him how much luke helped him and how great of a father he is gonna be. i think then while lorelai is in the delivery room, rory should run into chris who is trying to see lorelai. rory tells him that he had his chance and he failed. he was never there for her or lorelai until it was convenient for him. then lorelai comes out into the hallway looking for coffee and watches christopher walk away. then lorelai has her baby and afterwards when they are getting ready to leave the hospital, luke has a romantic adorable speech and proposes to lorelai AND rory (like basically asking rory if he can marry her mom and be her dad). obviously lorelai says yes. season 7 they plan and their wedding and then lorelai starts to get super scared and then luke has that whole speech in there kitchen (the one he had in the year in the life). so they get married andddddd they move into the twickham house that emily bought them. i also think season 7 really needs to build on luke and rory’s relationship. it would also have cute moments like christmas with luke, lorelai, rory, and there baby (who should also be named lorelai and go by Lori and maybe have like danes or daniel or dana or something as her middle name so that luke is included) and then they all walk outside w luke hugging both rory and lorelai while rory holds “Lori” and it starts to snow. BTW no one come after paul anka. ofc she still got paul anka and kept him and he is part of their family. maybe in the snow scene lorelai can be holding paul anka on a leash lol edit: also as much as i love aprils character because she is funny and i laughed probably harder than i did the rest of the show during the whole freaking out when her ancient dad said “kissing” thing, i hated what it did to luke and lorelai’s relationship. it was also completely unnecessary and added nothing to the story. maybe in the year in the life “Lori” can be all growed up and have aprils personality 🤷🏼♀️
Gurl me too! Same. I type into RUclips the scenes I just watched for the replay and then find myself uncovering new scenes from future seasons I haven’t gone to yet. I’m like nooo! Wait! I haven’t seen that in real time yet!
They never said "I love you" and that makes me so angry. Lorelai says it to Luke (well, she's screaming at him as she's saying it) as they're fighting in front of the dinner, and in the "Vineyard Valentine" episode, he says to her "You know I love you, right?"). It was the first time we were hearing him say it and THAT is how ASP chose to do it - so frustrating. I wish we had heard them say it with sincerity at least ONCE.
She didn't cheat on Luke. When Lorelai says it over I can't do this anymore. They broke up. It's not Lorelai fault that Luke was slow aut what she said.
This isn’t April fault lol, it’s Luke’s he was so controlling over lorelai and chris, which is a red flag for me but then when he has a major secret to tell lorelai he hides it
I don't get how people like Luke. He's a hypocrite, he looks 20 years older than her and dude literally wears the same crappy outfit everyday. Bruh she should have been single, her life is less messy without guys on her life
The actor (Scott) is actually 9 years older than her (Lauren), but I could care less. I love how Luke and Lorelai’s relationship was but the writer’s effed it up. I’m still a huge shipper but some scenes were disappointments. Luke cares about her deeply but has made mistakes just as she had. If you hate Luke, you have to hate Lorelai, because she has done similar things. I love both of them though, and Luke is my favorite character. I actually find the outfit thing funny, it brings a good jokes into the show. Without his iconic outfit, the show would’ve been less funny. And his famous rants are hilarious. But hey. We have our opinions.
s6 was so painful to watch. first half, lorelai and rory were fighting, then the other half luke and lorelai’s relationship was so strained 😣

s6&7 SUCK. there was no need to wreck luke and lorelai’s relationship. if i were writing it, they would have still broken up the first time and gotten back tgth (bc it rly showed how much they cared and needed each other. lorelai cared way more abt this break up than any others) and then they would get back tgth like they did. later on lorelai would find out she was pregnant and start to freak out. she would tell luke in some really long rant and she would start crying and luke would stay calm and just comfort her. bc all she ever needed was “the whole package”. luke would be great the entire time she is pregnant and thennnn when lorelai goes into labor luke has his little freak out “i’m gonna be a dad” moment but he runs into jess who then calms him down and tells him how much luke helped him and how great of a father he is gonna be. i think then while lorelai is in the delivery room, rory should run into chris who is trying to see lorelai. rory tells him that he had his chance and he failed. he was never there for her or lorelai until it was convenient for him. then lorelai comes out into the hallway looking for coffee and watches christopher walk away. then lorelai has her baby and afterwards when they are getting ready to leave the hospital, luke has a romantic adorable speech and proposes to lorelai AND rory (like basically asking rory if he can marry her mom and be her dad). obviously lorelai says yes. season 7 they plan and their wedding and then lorelai starts to get super scared and then luke has that whole speech in there kitchen (the one he had in the year in the life). so they get married andddddd they move into the twickham house that emily bought them. i also think season 7 really needs to build on luke and rory’s relationship. it would also have cute moments like christmas with luke, lorelai, rory, and there baby (who should also be named lorelai and go by Lori and maybe have like danes or daniel or dana or something as her middle name so that luke is included) and then they all walk outside w luke hugging both rory and lorelai while rory holds “Lori” and it starts to snow.
BTW no one come after paul anka. ofc she still got paul anka and kept him and he is part of their family. maybe in the snow scene lorelai can be holding paul anka on a leash lol
edit: also as much as i love aprils character because she is funny and i laughed probably harder than i did the rest of the show during the whole freaking out when her ancient dad said “kissing” thing, i hated what it did to luke and lorelai’s relationship. it was also completely unnecessary and added nothing to the story. maybe in the year in the life “Lori” can be all growed up and have aprils personality 🤷🏼♀️
April is the same actress as the girl from "Switched at Birth"!
Yess! I don’t know her name but I’m sure I’ve seen her in other things as well
finally someone said it
Im literally watching the series and I’m only on season 4 episode 10 or som shit and I keep on Watching spoilers lol
Gurl me too! Same. I type into RUclips the scenes I just watched for the replay and then find myself uncovering new scenes from future seasons I haven’t gone to yet. I’m like nooo! Wait! I haven’t seen that in real time yet!
@@adrianaavila8853 I’m doing the same lol. I’m currently on season 5
I need to know this episode please!!!
They ever said "I Love you" to each other? I can't remember🤔
Yeah but ASP preferred not to show most of those moments, they happened off-screen. On-screen they mostly said it during fights lol
Yeah! When I was watching the other videos in here I notice this too.
@@lillygol Sooo true😞
Not so far and that makes me so mad. 😔 and hurt.
I hate April. She ruined everything.
What episode?
Was this before or after Luke hid April from her for a couple months?
I think she should have tolled him she was Anna Nardini's daughter!
Thats a weird helmet lol looks like a crash test dummy
Aaaand she cheats on him with christopher later
She didn't cheat on Luke. When Lorelai says it over I can't do this anymore. They broke up. It's not Lorelai fault that Luke was slow aut what she said.
This isn’t April fault lol, it’s Luke’s he was so controlling over lorelai and chris, which is a red flag for me but then when he has a major secret to tell lorelai he hides it
Wow, no secrets eh?
0:55 after that speech there is no way Luke doesn't tell Lorelai about April
writers needed them to split up and used April to do it. it made no sense
Wish her luck? Luke has no idea who she is or what she is talking about lol

Episode?
the prodigal daughter returns - season 6 episode 9
Girls like guys like this?
Luke is such a baby a jealous child
I don't get how people like Luke. He's a hypocrite, he looks 20 years older than her and dude literally wears the same crappy outfit everyday. Bruh she should have been single, her life is less messy without guys on her life
Lol you sound like Emily
luke cares for her in a way no other guys has, and he shows that empathy to everyone too
The actor (Scott) is actually 9 years older than her (Lauren), but I could care less.
