  • 3 Social Media Manager Pricing Mistakes to AVOID in 2024
    As a social media manager in 2024, it's so important you know how to price your social media management packages effectively. In this video, i'm sharing my top social media manager tips on how to create the best pricing guide for your clients. I am often asked, "How much should I charge per hour or month as a social media manager?" I recommend NOT charging hourly as a social media manager. If you charge a monthly rate or retainer as a social media manager, you must have strong contracts. Learn my favorite strategy for charging your social media clients so that you make reliable income through long-term commitments and contracts. By the end of this video, you'll have a clear understanding of how to avoid the top pricing mistakes social media managers make (and I myself made) and optimize your pricing strategy for 2024.

    Yep I'm suffering from scope creep big time right now. I went a little out scope here and there, and now the client seems to expect extra work all the time, is contacting me outside of working hours, asking me to do things that have nothing to do with smm, etc. It's tough when you just start out as a social media manager, because you don't know how to navigate these conversations with the client and are worried that saying 'no' will jeopardize the job. As you say in this video, the right way to handle it is to avoid all of this from the start by clearly describing what is and IS NOT included in your offer. But when you are just starting out it's hard to imagine all the ways someone can take advantage - and you don't want to appear negative/insecure/demanding during the proposal phase. Just takes experience I guess!

      YES, and trust me when I say we've all been there. It's the hardest when you start out. The best way to handle this is what I mentioned in the video + properly managing the client. E.g. don't respond outside of work hours or they will do it again. Your behavior will determine how they will go about things. That's the best way to behavior manage them as a client.

      @@miloupietersz yes I do. Since you're charging 3/6months at a time the client should pay upfront, right?

    • @miloupietersz
      @miloupietersz  9 месяцев назад +1

      They don’t pay the full 3 or 6 months upfront, but they do pay their monthly fee before the month starts yes

    How do you feel about offering yourself as an employee vs an independent contractor? Is it better to keep them under your LLC or join their company as an employee?

    • @miloupietersz
      @miloupietersz  9 месяцев назад +1

      This is completely a personal preference! There are pros and cons to doing both. More security as an employee (sometimes benefits as well) but more freedom and no salary cap as an independent contractor
