@@biscuitmy-dear the lifelog trick can be extremely finicky but when it works, it’s so satisfying. It works best when you’re traveling in a brand new area without having met any Pikmin. Even then, you can sometimes pick up a roadside or other decor type even if you pin exactly on the place on the map. It took me 3 tries to snag that yellow seedling you saw in the video even though I know that exact place is a bakery. Just keep trying and if all else fails, pinning a waterside is super easy cause pretty much anywhere in the water will work!

I actually touched on that briefly at 17:48 but currently there are no extra bonuses, the decor are purely aesthetic. I could see Niantic changing this either in a limited time event where you could get double Rare Points and increased strength against mushrooms or something like that, but we will have to wait and see. For now, they’re just purely for collecting
