4:14 This is not true. Pressing the Z button brings up a map of Isle Delfino, and hovering over a location tells you how many blue coins have been found there.
4:16 This is incorrect. If you push Z you can view a map of Isle Delfino, and if you hover your cursor over each level, you can see how many blue coins you've collected in each one in the bottom right corner. You can't see which ones you've collected, how many you have left before the level is 100% complete, or which episodes the ones you have left are available in, so it's still a very flawed system, but saying there's no way at all to tell is inaccurate. Also worth noting that each main level has 30 blue coins and then there are 20 in Delfino Plaza/Airstrip and 10 in Corona Mountain, so they are at least evenly divided between stages.
FINALLY someone who agrees that the poison river is WORSE than the Pachinko machine! While Pachinko is frustrating, it at least doesn’t take 10 mins of careful platforming to retry…
Pro tip for Lily Pad Ride: Take it slowly and squirt FLUDD in short intervals and if your going in the wrong direction and about to miss a red coin just squirt normally for a few seconds to move to the right and get the red coin. This also works for Corona Mountain. Edit: After watching this video I booted up 3D All Stars and won Yoshi's Fruit Adventure and The Watermelon Festival. (Thanks for the luck Switch Stop). Edit again: I also just beat Roller Coaster Balloons by pulling off an insane shot from afar. 😭
Lily pad is so so so so easy. You can literally jump off the edge and hover and be able to walk under the level. You can get 6/8 red coins this way, it's so easy
I’m a huge Mario sunshine fan and I am very glad that you talk about it using a way that even people who never knew about this game can understand! Keep on the great work and you’ve earned a subscriber! 🎉 BTW: I do love the pachinko level too 😂
For the red coin chuckster mission, I was able to get all the red coins with just the hover nozzle and the only chuckster I had to talk to was the one that throws you up high.
Scrubbing Sirena Beach being that low is a crime. It's a purely unique mission and one of the only times you actually use fludd for anything but platforming correction
Hi. Long time super mario sunshine player. And I just want to give you some tips and tricks to make some shines you find hard, easier. (This is also ignoring any glitches if you dont want to use them) 1. Yoshi Lily Pad Shine. -Get on the lily pad and spray towards the camera to get going -softly spray towards the right and coins 1-4 should be extremely easy to get -after bouncing off the wall the firy time, immediately start spraying to the left. You will run into the 5th coin -some bouncing off walls and collecting the 6th coin, spray towards the left to get to the 7th coin. Swap nozzles and jump hover to the 7th coin and land back on the lily pad. -grab the 8th and you're done. 2. Yoshi's fruit adventure -make sure you are moving fruits out of the way so the durian doesn't drop below. The game can only spawn fruit that hasn't been spawned yet as long as the previous ones are around. -after reaching the first platform, to the left is a palm tree with coconuts. After eating one, the platforms you make will go up for you. Make sure you dont spray the fish at the peak of their jump as you might not be able to reach the platform. 3. Secret of Casino. -prioritize the flipping tiles from top to bottom. Because the nozzle sprays at an arc, tiles below can be affected by some water falling from that arc. 4. Red Coins of Secret Hotel Delfino. -A well timed water belly slide and hover use on top of the nearby watermelons can litigate the need of the gear at the end. 5. Hillside cave secret red coins -get on top of one of the moving blocks when it comes up from below and jump hover to the stars. It should make it much easier 6. Pianta Village 100 coins -Go to Episode 5 and collect all the coins on the mushrooms below. On one of the black and green mushrooms you can groundpound the center to spawn more. -Now get yoshi and eat all the bees from both beehives -groundpound the bottom of the spring and the nose of the statue to finish. 7. Chain Chomp Hot Bath (This is more or less to make it less annoying) -Grab and let go the chain to get it moving. Direct it over to the spring by blocking other paths (he will try to run away from you) as soon as he is at the spring, guve it all you got with the spray nozzle or a barrel, and pull into the spring. I hope you find this helpful in your next Sunshine playthrough. 😁
1. Walk on the bottom of the lily pad level if you miss a coin by clipping through bars at the end 2. After getting to the first platform with yoshi, you can literally spin jump to each platform without needing to spray fish 3. You can spin jump off the wall and ledge grab the top of the puzzle, skipping all of the casino section
2:38 This is slightly incorrect. The second and third boats are required but the first boat can be skipped by going through the underground tunnels to reach the first island.
Even as a little kid I always got the lilly pad 1st try lol. Never understood why it's so hated, you just spray the nozzle to move into the coins, pretty easy takes like 5 seconds
Good list, I do think you use FLUDD in basically every boss fight in the game though so I'm not sure what you meant by that comment about how underutilized it is for bosses
6:30 I disagree. The Ricco Harbour shadow Mario is the worst shadow Mario in the game. Sure, you can get him quick in Ricco, but if you fail to get him quick, you're stuck with following him jumping about the garters, which is a pain in the ass
Actually found number 64 Soak the Sun completely naturally on my own. I started this game when I was in like first grade or lower but found bits of it too hard and I came back as a teen. I ended up finding it because I at some point wonderd what would happen if I sprayed the Sun from that location. I decided to try it after talking to the lady who tells you about the mayor's secret coin stash if you spray the moon.
Why does everyone say that The Manta Storm is hard? All you have to do is run-and-spray and spam the spin jump/spray. You'll end the fight in less than 5 minutes. Also for The Runaway Ferris Wheel, there's a much easier method to get the Shine Sprite. Just climb up the ramp next to the pirate ships and use the Hover Nozzle to get across to the Electrokoopa
I liked playing through Sunshine for the frist time on Mario 3d allstars, I didn't 100 precent it because i knew it would frusate me and I would rather keep thinking the game is fun, but maybe someday i'll try to
I haven't played this game in years while recently coming back to play it again, but I've gotten the Lily Pad Ride within 3 lives. It's not as bad people say it is lol. The only bad thing about it is the method needed to get there. The Pachinko is a far worse level than it!
People who complain about lily pad, pachinko, and water melon festival are massive skill issue Watermelon festival just do gelato beach skip with the coconut Pachinko just know the machine is gonna push you to the center so hold left it really isnt that hard (and you can get the bottom 2 pockets without even entering the machine by going through the back) Lily pad clip through delfino plaza with yoshi to get there in like less than 20 seconds then if you miss a coin in the stage hover off the end through the grates to walk on the bottom of the level and collect missing coins Sick of people complaining about these levels they are some of the easiest levels in the game
Besides the Pachinko level which gave me a little trouble, about 3-4 lives or so but it was mainly trying to not fall off, none of the mentioned levels were bad at all. Doing the Watermelon level didn't took that long from how I remembered all those years ago.
Now rank all 880 moons in Super Mario Odyssey.
odyssey central and nathaniel bandy already did that!
880? Tf lol?
@@legoincplx4x5what is wrong ?
@@cassie_dp nothing lol its just damnnn that's a lot of moons.
@@Tropixifyand fir
Personally I think Mario Sunshine takes the cake for having the most difficult objectives in the series. Not even Odyssey solos.
I think the darkest side is harder than anything in sunshine, especially if you aren't skipping half of it with glydon
Not even close

This. I must be a glutton for punishment though because I’ve always liked looking for the blue coins 😂

I love sunshine blue coins it's fun memorizing all the locations like i have
19:54 the way he didn’t even die from the timer but from him being crushed between the cubes

BTW: I do love the pachinko level too 😂
I've been waiting for this one ever since the Mario 64 video!
Very underrated video, I think more people should be talking about this game even if it is rushed
Pinna Park 4: To be fair, those Egg Turtles are probably supposed to be parasites, which drains life from surrounding sunflowers.
29:43 Did they also say they were suprised about the Pichinko Machine?
This video is making me want to replay 3D all-stars and ruin my mental health getting 120 shines all over again.

Great! Now Every Coin in New Super Mario Bros 2 ranked

Good list, even if I disagree with 90% of the list it was enjoyable to watch
great video! i had a great time watching?

I forget at what point I decided to put down the game for so many years but I swear it had something to do with that damn Pachinko machine.
Personally I had no problem with the watermelon. I beat it in like one try actually!
Because it's an easy level people complain about it for no reason
I'm suprised how high Yoshi's Fruit Adventure, the Corona Mountain one, and especially The Pichinko Machine. Placed.
You can check how many blue coins you have in the Z menu

BEAUTIFULLLL I LOVE IT
You should rank super Mario galaxy 1 if you did that already galaxy 2
7:10 is so tilting to water the flowers and not spin on the ground... also shooting those things into a wall gives 3 coins instead of 1
I liked playing through Sunshine for the frist time on Mario 3d allstars, I didn't 100 precent it because i knew it would frusate me and I would rather keep thinking the game is fun, but maybe someday i'll try to
I wish more people had this mindset

29:41 because it's s tier.
People who complain about lily pad, pachinko, and water melon festival are massive skill issue
Watermelon festival just do gelato beach skip with the coconut
Pachinko just know the machine is gonna push you to the center so hold left it really isnt that hard (and you can get the bottom 2 pockets without even entering the machine by going through the back)
Lily pad clip through delfino plaza with yoshi to get there in like less than 20 seconds then if you miss a coin in the stage hover off the end through the grates to walk on the bottom of the level and collect missing coins
Sick of people complaining about these levels they are some of the easiest levels in the game

Ok now Rank all 1500 necessary coins for 100% in super mario 64
22:28 the game was rushed They didn't have enough time to make another shine.
Rank Galaxy Stars Next
Hot take lily pad is gaming top tier especially because it’s not required
Now rank all of the games Retroachivements... that'll change your opinion on hard... lol
2:12 it isn't.
