I find it extremely amusing that people complain about the speed of their PC when Windows is installed on it. What do you expect for a bloated and privacy-hating OS that now needs a minimum of 8GB RAM to run because of the amount of telemetry and "phoning home" going on in the background? Just for comparison, you can run the heaviest Linux OS, Ubuntu, in a minimum of 2GB RAM - not that I use Ubuntu anyway because it too is bloated.
I got myself a Hp Victus 15 with a Ryzen 5600H GTX1650 4GB And 8GB ram DDR4 3200MHZ It has a great screen and 512GB ssd storage. Quite an upgrade from my HP ProBook 4330s
The sticker is put like that over the hard drive so they know on warranty claims if you have tampered with the machine. I know you where just generalizing or even being cynical because i know you know!
hey buddy! my friend just give me same laptop as you and its already upgraded to 16gb ram, the ssd still 257gb. So, what do you think i should do next to have a better gaming experience with this laptop.
not really the ram was a downgrade aswell ryzen cpu and its igpu likes to have high speed (3200mhz+) dual channel ram with the lowest CL latency possible that boosts fps way higher than just having dual channel at 2400mhz just cause of those 2 things which result in higher memory bandwidth and lower date transfer latency to both cpu and iGPU
Windows 11 isn't that bad it's just faster for me to install a pre-tweaked distro. Hp and dell pack their budget laptops full of their own bloatware on top of windows 11's and then set the power settings low to save battery. Your everyday consumer would just assume they got what they paid for and not realize there's more performance they can gain.
