The weavers of this masterpiece were actually from Maharashtra (900 years ago the were invited to settle in Patan) it’s sad that the art is completely dead in Maharashtra (no one even knows what’s this craft in Maharashtra)and also in verge to die in Gujarat.

There HAS TO be a better way... It seems this effort is too tedious... People should not be spending so much time on basic mills to make this

and then a women casually throws it away in the shop. "doosra dikhao". after 5 months of precision, it cant stand 5 seconds in the eyes of her.
