Does any one really care what i think..
Good evening to you, I am an artist by the name of F8L. Imagine Salvador Dali meets Queen meets Tyler the Creator meets Piero Piccioni meets Federico Fellini, that is me! I have released my debut album a week ago titled "The Shadowless Masquerade", a conceptual album fully written and produced by me, a pop/hip-hop album infused with soul, jazz and opera. I wouldn't call it "utterly boring" but agree that it is not maybe as great as their previous albums. The songs do sound the same but that's perfectly fine with me - it's just that I haven't felt that deeper connection to any of their songs. Having said that, I still have Holding you, holding me, dark vacay, silver sable on repeat for a while now so the album's not bad by any means. Also I totally agree with the sexual language this time around, like I know CAS doesn't shy away from that in their songs but stuff like "cream pie" and "brazzers" is a bit distracting tbh
The title is a bit dramatic I admit , I guess I just was missing something more from them. It was kind of exactly how I imagined it would sound.. but as you said, there are some really catchy songs on there. And yeah, I completely agree with you about the lyrics.
Thanks for this short review... I was starting to think I was the only one critic with the album. I think 4/10 is not correct though. It's a good 6/10 with some songs that are above the average. In my opnion the fact that the music isn't original it's their best quality. As a fan of the band I can tell you that we love the fact they replay the same song over and over with slightly variations. It's romantic ambient music and they're probably the best in this niche. I can't judge the lyrics as I'm not a native speaker, but to me it seemed like their songs were always a bit boundless, so those lines you quoted don't come as a surprise. I think that guy, with his thin androgynous voice, could sing the worst and forbidden lyrics, and yet mantain unaltered that romantic aura everyone recognizes as typical of the band.
Hey! Thank you for the comment. I definitely think if you love CAS then you will for sure love this album. I guess for me I just wanted somthing a little more interesting, as I said it didn't sound bad it's just sounded the same.
@@IcySnapsYeah I understand your point. I guess they'll evolve in the future as slowly as their music plays :D Personally I found the previous works more inspired and that's the point missing.

Absolutely not. As a super - I mean, really super - fan of the band, you can't really say this album is on par with the previous ones. It feels tired, to say the least. Mannerist if you want to be naive with them. A couple of songs are very good and they deserve a full 8 or 9 on 10. But the rest is a good 6/10. Anyway, it's too new. Time will tell if it can be enjoyed like the previous ones that can be listened in loop for hours.

The album is repetitive but it’s great in my opinion, deep dive for hardcore fans.
