I was crying laughing watching this. I just got a puppy too (a German Shorthaired Pointer called Friday) so the puppy problems got me especially. I am crate training her and she is finally finding her crate to be a cozy place, and loving it, so that may be an option for the sexy time and allergy issues, lol. Lucky for you Bobby is a little half pint, because at just 3 months Friday is so leggy she can reach the counter and has locked the front door handle, so I am having to put in baby gates because I am scared she will lock me out and then turn on the gas stove 😂, or, you know, something more realistic like bringing a plate down on her own head.

Puppy blues is real! Honestly me and my dog hated each other for the first 9 months, but she was obsessed with my partner who put none of the work in lol. She’s 1.5 years old now though and we are certified buddies
The dachshund puppy gets easier! We had the same issues and filled the flat with air purifiers and my boyfriend's breathing issues subsided after a couple months. The puppy phase is so tough but they learn pretty quickly and then it's the best. (Except the crippling separation anxiety, we haven't figured that one out) Good luck!

As someone with asthma, and allergies living with a dog is extremely uncomfortable. I would never subject my partner to that, knowing they were allergic.
