      Regarding the topic of platforming people with dangerous ideas. I think it has to be done carefully, with clarifying questions and pushback. Unfortunately, before Destiny arrives, Nick Fuentes just had the floor and presented his ideas as reasonable, WITH MINIMAL PUSHBACK FROM ABA OR ANYONE ELSE. I think some of the black creators may have felt pressured to be "nice" to Nick.

      I just wish Mr. God-piller could have laid the smack-down a little harder on that one. The thing that I hate most about these goons like Fuentes is hiding behind a cross when they clearly have zero idea what they are supposed to believe and in the process smear their racist BS onto billions of believers around the globe. I appreciate what push-back they did give, but they could've gone all around the Bible Old Testament, New Testament and Catholic Catechism to make that little boy look silly. And Aba's set-up was golden for all of that, and once you tear away Fuentes facade of a spiritual grounding you know put one of his rhetorical cornerstones.

    Listening to this made me think about something. About how the internet sorta goes in cycles regarding politics. Back in the day, I remember the "atheist" phase, from 2008 to 2012, the internet was fairly left-leaning, with lots of people denouncing their christian families as bigots and stuff like that.
    Then came 2014 and GamerGate happened, the internet mostly turned right-wing and being a somewhat edgy anti-SJW was fun and nice. GamerGate itself lasted for like a month (maybe even less), but it had an effect for years. This trend came to a quite abrupt end on 2017 when Charlottesville happened and almost the whole internet started looking at the right with the contempt it rightfully deserves.
    BreadTube capitalized on this anti-right-wing feeling, and from 2018 to 2020, the internet turned very left-wing, and I mean VERY left-wing. People were calling themselves communist without even the slightest shred of shame. But then came the Kenosha riots of 2020, and leftists started justifying arson, looting, shoplifting, theft and top it all off, started attacking the idea of self-defense. A lot of people started being more introspective regarding BreadTube and realized how deeply pseudo-intellectual and plain wrong these creators are. As of today, BreadTube is dead and no leftist channel is reporting substantive growth.
    Fast forward to today, and the red pill saw a sudden resurgence, and seems like the internet is turning right-wing again, with a heavy tint of populism. I'm not sure how long this trend will last, maybe it will last 4 years, or maybe it dies next year. Who knows.
    All that matters is that Destiny is willing to go against whatever harmful political idea is trendy on the internet, both left and right. And I think he's very important in this space.

Same thing happens on the right. The majority of people aren't terminally online so they don't discuss their beliefs & politics. They just live their lives. It's the loudest voices on either side that come from the extreme ends of both sides. My dad was a conservative before he passed away & I know he wouldn't recognize the public persona of the right today if he was still here. We're all on a political spectrum. And yet even with all of that available Aba, Jideon and the rest clearly hadn't seen any of it. I would imagine a good portion of the audience hadn't either. There's debates, and then there's 'debates'.
    You can tell people to 'have a conversation' all you want, but a person like Sneako approaches debates entirely differently when compared to Destiny.
    The Sneako-type isn't there to discuss anything. He's there to sling as much dirt as possible at his opponent, make noise and ignore arguments. It's very easy for him to 'debate' this way because he's not putting any part of himself out there, he can 'debate' 10 people at once with this approach 'cause it doesn't matter whether he's right or wrong.
    Destiny needs to carefully think things through, adress each argument thoughtfully and make sure he is charitable to both the left and the right while doing so. He needs to put up with all kinds of stressful shit and do his best to fact-check everything whilst talking. It's a whole other world.
    And last, if you add any easily targeted minority into the mix, it's even worse for them. You say they ought to join the call and 'debate' lest they're cowards, but so many people in these comments do not understand that this 'marketplace of ideas' isn't fair ground. If you are trans, the moment you put yourself out there, you will be targeted and dogpiled by anonymous haters potentially for the rest of your life. Same thing goes for most women online. It's just not a fair place, and it's very understandable that they would simply opt out of having a conversation, especially when the Sneako-type is only there to ruin everything.

    • @Hognosetopia

But when you bring up the facts of the matter, it changes the whole situation & you realize those spewing misinformation about these things are doing so to poison the well so they can push their own narrative. Nicks not the next Hitler, he's a religious racist, it's not uncommon or rare to have the views he's holding. He doesn't want anyone exterminated, he doesn't want anyone mass deported except illegals and if possible the legals that are able to go back to their home country, and he'd like America to stay a white majority which the same goes for 90% of the human population towards their own home countries.
      We can disagree with his ideas, but his ideas are pretty common and its crazy people dramatize them so much.

    • @steveng6704

      @@Shadowh8ter I disagree, Fuentes would want America to ideally be an ethnostate, but he says it's not realistic. He wants to force women out of the workforce and to stay at home. He carefully skirts the line of a white Supremacist because that rhetoric works alot better in this era. He claims he's a soldier of God, but wouldn't marry another soldier of God if they weren't his race.
      I'm not sure where you are getting these numbers that 90 percent of people want their countries to stay one race, but here in America that is clearly not the case. Fuentes is an extremist in America, he's even too much for the super conservative CPAC in which forced him to start AFPAC.

    • @Shadowh8ter
      @Shadowh8ter 2 года назад

      @@steveng6704 Wanting an ethnostate and acknowledging its not realistic isn't that extreme of an idea. Even in the West the majority of countries are borderline if not literally the same demographics as America before we changed our immigration policy, and outside of the West its literally every country.
      Wanting women to have traditional roles in society is what a large percentage of the right believes in, that's not a crazy or radical idea. Being a trad girl or a trad wife is literally what you're describing.
      You can be a soldier of god and also care about your racial heritage at the same time. I disagree with his opinions on race mixing, but just because you value A more than B doesn't mean you also need to stop valuing B. He's Catholic and his opinion on marriage isn't out of love, it's not hard for him to find a white Catholic woman and if he values a white Catholic woman more than a black Catholic woman why would he settle for a worse option in his mind?
      That 90% number is me referencing the entire world homie. Idk if you just have this American centric view and you aren't aware, but almost the entire world is an ethnostate and the only exceptions are America, Canada, and some of the Major European countries. Everywhere else is almost exclusively a single race and essentially every country that is an ethnostate has immigration policies that restrict immigration to maintain their racial dominance within their own country.
      Also if Fuentes didn't have his opinions on Jews he'd be mainstream for CPAC. People like Tucker Carlson and Charlie Kirk also talk about women being in traditional roles and America's racial demographics being ruined by mass immigration. If he never revealed his opinions about Jews and never commented on race mixing he'd literally be on Fox News.

      @@Shadowh8ter You're downplaying Fuentes. He doesn't merely advocate for women to have traditional roles. He wants to ban them from most workplace environments and from assuming any traditional men's role. That's Authoritarian and an extreme position in this era of America

    • @Shadowh8ter
      @Shadowh8ter 2 года назад

      @@steveng6704 So you fully acknowledge that while Fuentes wants an ethnostate but acknowledges and accepts he can't have it because at this point it's simply not doable, but at the same time think Nick wants to just blanket make it illegal for women to have jobs, and you don't think he'd find that to equally be a tall ask? Of course if he could do that and get away with it he would, the same way he would deport 99% of non-white people if he could, but both are equally unlikely desires that would have to be done gradually/indirectly.
      Also calling him Authoritarian isn't really an insult or anything towards him he's not a liberal rofl. It's not really a gotcha or an own to call someone whose not of your political persuasion what their political persuasion is. He is authoritarian, he owns that all the time, and he thinks it'd be a better way to handle the country.

I think that these people hold a general contempt towards society simply because they feel some deep-seeded dissatisfaction or depression in their personal life without a clear source. This will cause a lot of people to self isolate and develop anti-social behaviours and ideas. Then after that, people can find belonging in these "outsider groups" of self-rejects.

      Not everyone is made for debates and not all subjects are to be debated in the same fashion that Destiny is doing it. Destiny even says that there is a place for essayists but I feel like Destiny's behavior or the way he speaks of others in the sphere doesn't cultivate the type of similar engagement he has. He is very harsh and if they don't 100% handle a subject well or disagrees with him on something Destiny is very quick to dismiss them. I know there's history there that explains this but I don't think Destiny is trying to reach across effectively to leftists in the same way he does to the right which I feel he handles very gently lately.
      He fails to realize that he needs the same attitude to those on the left if he wants to 'change' their minds or make what he says legitimate.
