I’ve seen several interviews with this amazing woman, but I’m finally starting to understand what she’s saying. In each breath there was such density of information. My mother died of cancer. She was given an extra 3 years and they were years I’m very great full for. You could tell she was living that time with intention ❤
I’ve loved and admired Jane McAlevey for as long as I’ve been aware of her mastery of the art of “good trouble”. Thank you Amy Goodman and company for the opportunity to learn firsthand from her experience and work.
What an extraordinary woman! Incredibly tough… she doesn’t look sick at all. Wow. Jane McAlevey, a name for history to remember. Thank you for sharing this excellent interview. 🕊️💚🍉🤟🏼
I'm almost as old as comrade Jane. I haven't done anything in my life that she'd finish before brekkie. And I'm not dying of late-stage cancer. But I've also had a really good run, and I also see more comrades organizing to win. So I get why she's so happy.
I was a union member in New York City and it was the greatest experience because I was voted to attend meeting and all people form a union to join and Jane I love you and you are a fighter in life to share. God Bless and my family that has passed you are in good company.
Having had the privilege of being a Labor Relations Mgr after many years as a Human Resources Mgr; I finally figured out how the other side works. I had the opportunity to meet highly qualified and professional Labor Relations Organizer’s from a well known strong Union. It was an enriching and learning experience that changed how I saw union’s for the rest of my career and life. Where I was trained on every technique in Union Avoidance. Ironically I learned more from working with a union than any training program. My deepest respect and admiration for this woman and her dedication. She left a Legacy for many. It wasn’t how long she lived more than what she did while alive.
What an absolutely extraordinary person! Her drive for the exciting time within grasp for the labor movement was still in high gear, despite what she was facing. Contagious enthusiasm while it was so heartbreaking knowing she had so little time left. Thank you DN! for the apt rebroadcast. ❤✊🏻
What a fabulous woman, I didn't know ofher before; I live in Scotland. A fighter who never gave up despite invasive cancer. She'll be missed internationally. Thanks DN for highlighting her.
A realist, a skilled negotiator and trainer, an optimist, and a loving person, all and more, are Jane. She fully lived as she was dying. I only hope to do as she did: Live NOW and have a succession plan for your values and endeavors, thus leaving an enduring legacy.
She is a true hero! A true American! A true Patriot. Before Unions US worker made .90 cents an hour , no vacations, no 40 hour week. No health care, no pensions. Abuses psicogial and physical. True heros!
I am deeply moved and impressed with this Warrior Queen.ay Father Sky and Mother Earth keep and hold her Spirit in the Universe. Thanks for introducing her to us.😊❤
Oh my God, I hadn’t heard that she died. She was such a powerful influence. And I haven’t really done shit for the movement, but I’ll tell you that lady changed my life and I am deeply grateful for her life’s work and legacy.
I consider myself incredibly lucky to have gotten to spend a few years working under Jane's incredible mentorship while at SEIU. She remains the most inspiring person in my life, and there's nothing I'm more proud of than the work I did under her leadership. Rest In Power Jane

Thank you for this dn. What a wonderful woman. So sorry for her loss. I'm so glad she got to see the Labour Unions get so many wins and is finally something to be reckoned with the big bosses. She will be so missed. ❤❤
The labor movement in the United States began when workers started working together to improve their wages and working conditions. Some of the grievances workers fought for included low pay, poor working conditions, long hours, and a lack of bargaining rights

I have been in an international union since 01. I very much enjoy my job. What I have seen grow among some of my coworkers is laziness. It pisses me off.
Amy I can't thank you, Juan and Nermeen enough for bringing us these amazing, yet hearbreaking interviews. As far as journalism goes, you guys are the bright light at the end of a very dark tunnel.
What a shame to lose this brilliant, dedicated, determined, woman too soon.
Rest in power, Jane. We'll keep your fire burning!
Really sucks to lose someone like her, may her work and legacies and memory continue to live on 🕊
