Nice video! Since you don't care much what skills you have in this setting and you focus mainly on towers, you can add a few skills to your setup regardless your build: 1. curses - flammability + elemental weakness will make your meteor towers extra strong and temporal chains will nicely slow enemies. 2. culling strike to quickly finish tough bossses. 3. knockback as a last resort to maybe keep a boss or rare from your pump
There are ways to make better perfomance. You can change a lot in config.ini like shut down all sounds (if you put them to zero in menu they are still going, just muted) and sounds are heavy on performance.
Another mod you don't want to roll on these maps in Kalguur specifically is "monsters gain endurance charges" as you don't want to give them more ele res. By the way those mobs got through because of the movement speed modifier
I'm convinced that this will make more this league than all other leagues combined with the "Currency Exchange Market" lol I was never good about selling my bubblegum currency. Now I'll always have an empty currency tab lol just making chaos on chaos. Divines coming from other crafts and drops. I'll be selling the hundreds of scarabs. I'm super excited. And Blight is going to be my biggest money maker by far!! At least for the first week or two. You're doing the community a huge service by redoing these videos. This is one of those mechanics where it doesn't matter how many people know about it, it will never change the value of anything within. Not everyone likes blight, but everyone needs annoints. Everyone needs good bases. Ever since your first video, I've been able to do blight ravaged deathless and before I couldn't even do a blight in a map, so I can't thank you enough dude.

@@epyjacek Indeed. I have failed quite some. There are some specific layouts of specific maps, that are often just terrible. You start the map and it gives you to build ONE tower in a sensible location and some more at the edge. These maps are destined to fail, at least for me.
Be nice to have a blight meta strat shake up soon. I came in at the tail end of the scout tower meta so all I've ever known is freeze and burning ground
I like 2nd ring anoinment for stun towers stun more frequently. If they are in range of buffs - they will stun mobs forever. Downside is huge lag, when you build alot of them. Also what i do on the start of a run - check immunities. If spawn points without some immunity, except lightning - i build 90% towers of that element.
What about builds that are strong enough to kill all the mobs and you don't need the amber/clear/sepia oils? They use stuff like golden oils to really juice the rewards out of blight ravaged maps. Do you ever play/transition into those builds? Cremation is a good example of this.
2 silver, 2 black, 2 opal, 3 amber is actually my goto for ravaged! Even with good builds I still heavily rely on towers. If you are looking for a juicer build for ravaged anything that has massive explodes will work. I am currently playing cast when stun chieftain and it works wonders for this content
the boss went through because it was outside the range of the freeze tower and he was immune to stun. the stun immune or freeze immune bosses, will pass though the combo of stun/freeze, there you need damage
I tested also going straight from a10 clear to T14 Blight map. You can't use the oil tab to anoint anything until you meet Cassia one time so when you buy the very first blight map, ask your seller to anoint it with amber x3 before handing it to you. You don't need ring anoints for regular blight maps. Clearing the very first blight map will create enough starting capital to properly fund your league starter or at the very least buy another blight map to fish for divs. This is way easier than troubleshooting a league starter through the early maps because not having bubblegum is a huge pain.
I guess the obvious question is considering the lack of quantity what does one prioritize? Quality or pack size? For both Blight and Harvest Edit: And Betrayal ; all three I like to run
If you're playing multiplayer blight ravaged, Cassia will follow P1 around and she is the sole reason towers will build or spawn so P1's most important job is to run a circuit around to cover as much of the map as possible so that the other guys can click the towers. This is important for if you decide to get some dudes to tag along for that challenge to clear the juiced up blight ravaged map. Another thing is to unsummon your AG if you have a geared one. It will die randomly and you will have to gear another one up.
Just want to point out that recombinators themselves are not back. Only the mechanic of recombinating is what is back and you will use gold and the new currency you get from disenchanting things to perform the recombinating.
i think having a build that can actually contribute damage would help quite a bit, watching those bosses at the end survive for several minutes after the time ran out was really sad. could've started another map by that point. i remember dd/vaal dd worked quite well for me a couple leagues ago on low budget
I think if your worried about the bosses surviving after the timer ran out you are missing the point of the video. Its designed to showcase how to do it using only towers and the absolute bare basics people need to be able to complete them. Sure if I ACTUALLY attacked or did anything or use my headhunter or played a real ignite build it would of gone quicker but the point of this video isnt to showcase exploding everything on a build.
Asidce from the ignite, poison etc you mentioned, can storm burst totems do it :').... Just let the turrents do most of the work, even though my totems have a lot of damage, they don't have explosion mechanic

Not sure, can Blight Maps roll "Monsters have %chance to avoid elemental ailments" ? That f**ed my blight encounters in normal maps as well, as freezing doesnt work then, and stun tower immune mobs will be able to pass freely :D
I'd say it does matter if you die though. Especially 3+ times. The purpose of doing blight ravaged is the loot at the end. You need portals to carry the loot out. Especially since your focus is on super early league where you are targeting base items that take up a lot of space.
Yeah! Fully agreed. I do leave the deaths in on purpose though to showcase that like, things can happen ya know. Dont want everyone to think its purely sunshine and rainbows gg ez. But yeah dying just to get all the loot is huge

This is the main issue I have with beginners guides for PoE, I think I have learn that what content creator call a beginner is a person with a few hundred hours in PoE, not someone who is just starting and barely has 100-200 hours. I need to find out what is the terminology for people who really are just beginning to play the game and watch guides then, I really just want to know what a blight event or mission is, whats the goal and the purpose... my quest still continues on to this day
If you are stuck or dont understand something in this video please ask. I assume by the time you hit maps and are able to do things in this video you have a basic understanding of the game. The content in this video is designed for end game uber content to help newer players break into it. Blight is now something that show up in act 3 during the campaign and is explained what to do when you talk to Cassia and interact with her. They actually put the encounter in your way in the sewers so you cant miss her. But if you have deeper questions of what the mechanic is or what you need ask that. I sadly cant understand / know / address every question people have without information

I might actually go back to blight in 3.25. I had fun with it but the lag is killing me. I am aware of the combo of Vulkan + Disable sound, which helped me a bit into simulacrum but I haven't tried it into blight maps yet. For sure, I am not at the point of being into maps in 10 hours though. My best time up to now to beat the campaign is 25 hours. Much better than the 40 and 50 I had before but not fast enough to be among the first to claim the prixe there. I'll aim for less than 20 hours this time and hopefuly I should not be too far off :)
A tip i can give you is to only play one build type that you are experienced and comfortable with. It'll be a bit boring but you'll get to maps much quicker because you don't have to spend time looking at a guide to know where your passives go, or what skill gem rewards to accept, or what you may or may not need to pick up. All these little things add up a lot.
@@maartenverstraeten6705 It is 'hard' to be experienced when you played 2 leagues in total and one build only in each :) Played Zoomancer in Affliction and RF in Necropolis I enjoyed both so I will see what will be my choice this time. Probably RF though.
This is what I've been waiting for, I'm not sure what I'll be running but it needs to have clear and A LOT of DPS without high investment. Lightning arrow is good, but I'm worried about the investment needed to get it actually running well. What do you think about a Bleed pop build? Or a chaos pop? Those are always great at clearing and I can depend on the towers to take out the bosses.
my only concern about blight (or any of the out-side-of-map mechanics) this league is that we will be missing out on the league content itself (gold, the ore/resources or w.e. it is that we sent workers to collect)

I always do a league starter guide with solo self found gear and it has step by step progression of leveling through the acts. I plan to do the same this league. Not every build I do is crazy. Also the last two leaves headhunter na mageblood where the cheapest they have ever been and the most obtainable they have ever been!

I havent been able to make one yet. I highly suggest players make their own filter. As copying a filter leads to you missing out on things YOU MIGHT want. I know me for example if you follow something I make it usually changes every few hours to suit my specific needs.
Infernal cry is a one gem add that makes the monsters explode. You don't have to deal the damage. Its HUGE QOL, especially if your build cannot do much damage. Super EZ cheese to add.
@@VividFlash Infernal cry still has the explosion. There are also new sources, like banners which will work the same way, and you can charge banners with warcry

I was the gentleman :P It's good to know that the towers are enough to deal with it, albeit rather slow. I decided to do Mjölner again since Connor has proven it to be not significantly weaker, so tankiness won't be an issue later, same as damage. After all, despite it being SC, I dislike dying :D

Regex should be designed on a per character basis. You are only concerned about 2 lines - Monsters Cannot Be Stunned and Monsters Cannot move below base value. The rest of the regex is based on your own personal preference. Like I am sure my character can do maps or is more comfortable in map mods then yours is. So mine wouldnt work for you
I tested blight after watching one of your older videos.. back in 3.15 maybe? Can you make one for advance blighters? I found a 2nd strat was to find do blight in maps more often because they dropped annointed rings. I would then extract oils from them. What are major chase items from blight? I know strangle grasp is a major chase item.
Really excited to see your blight content! I am probably going to have a miserable time because I am league starting flicker as a really smart choice. Hoping I can muster up the oils and live long enough to get through.
@@Travic_ To make it worse, I am doing this in GSF with like 15-20 of us total. Although Amber is low enough tier that it shouldn't be too bad. The tough part will really be getting my own opal/silver oils. Do you think those would be realistically farmable in regular maps or would I be safe enough in blighted (not ravaged) to get them there? Blight is newish territory to me outside of running maybe 5-10 total blighted and blight ravaged maps.
@@Adiuva1 Ambers will drop in like white tier regular cassia encounters. You will find them dime a dozen it wont be hard at all. Like if you start running blight in map you should have a ton of ambers in a handful of maps which will carry you the rest of the league. As soon as you get 3 amber oils literally go into BLIGHTED MAPS and farm until silver and opal then you can look at blight ravaged. If you get stuck or need help post in the discord!
@@Travic_ I appreciate the feedback! I know Ambers were super common but couldn't recall ever getting Silver outside of blighted or extractors. Will definitely take another look at your blight theory vid from the other day. I know when I saw the changes on the patch notes, the new atlas nodes sounded great. Depends on how well you keep cool and know how to navigate the map. You never want to just get 1 shotted.....but I mean....who needs defense when we have towers? Any build SHOULD KINDA BE OK if you can keep cool under the pressure of blight and get a few towers rolling.
Great guide! Which iLvL 86 bases would you filter for? Just did a blight ravaged map and the amount of bases are too much :D Was thinking of evasion bases for T1 spell supp and ES gear for the T1 ES rolls.

Atlas passives only affect regular maps. They do not have any impact on blighted maps. The keystone is great for early in the league if you combine it with the passives that reduce tower cost.
I have no idea what that skill / interaction is :(. But as you saw here...I didnt even attack or do anything and just used towers. So I mean /shrug - in theory if you practice tower defense anything can work!

Blight ravaged maps are not worth farming, many other farming techniques are way better... ;) Blight farming is a hidden gem, now everyone will be doing it, and I don't want to be in the popular crowd. ;) Best of luck for league start.

@@Martin_Hermann oh yeah I actually used a 3570K for 10 years (overclocked to 5Ghz) and Blight will definitely bring it to its knees. BUT you also have an x8 lane electrically connected RX 6600 in a PCIe 3.0 slot which is also a big problem. I'm now on 5800X3D (PoE loves X3D chips) and use Radeon chill to lock my frame rate between 82 and 84 FPS (because it's half of my monitor's refresh rate) at 3440x1440p
@@Travic_ its pretty good since you can add them on choke points to help you out, also they are great if IDGAF mobs break trough your set up, ballsitas are great to block that mob and build defences around it. It's not perfect, since you have no explosions or dot prolifs etc, but it's pretty good.
@@Travic_ yes, my point is, if I use enchant on reflected ring , i got double value if enchant because of reflection. I mean enchant isn't ignored by reflextion, kalandra reflect enchant too. ?that is what I thought so far.
@@tomaskazatel2922 it is but you dont care to double the anoint. Like your chilling towers already freeze you need a second anoint for damage or power or defenses. Kalandra ring is really good yes but in terms of power for blight you need the anoint more early.

Recombinators will delete items constantly and people will always be needing them to make better and better things. Theres a lot of good videos on how recombinators work and how impactful they were in sentinal league. I would recommend learning how they work if you never used them before it could be a pretty big change going forward.

i use animate guardian with the 30% to make enemies explode dealing 10% hp as AOE chestplate
The only issue i have with blight is FPS drops.. lagging much
Have you tried changing the renderer? Switching from default one helped me so much, and I don't have the best specs, far from it

Blight Ravaged maps are pretty hard overall and depending on your rng with tower placements and what spawns where it can get nearly impossible.

I didnt know this about multiplayer! Ive only ran blight 1p and always assumed anyone would be able to build towers in multi

Anything that bleeds, explodes, ignites, proliferates or pops.

This is the main issue I have with beginners guides for PoE, I think I have learn that what content creator call a beginner is a person with a few hundred hours in PoE, not someone who is just starting and barely has 100-200 hours. I need to find out what is the terminology for people who really are just beginning to play the game and watch guides then, I really just want to know what a blight event or mission is, whats the goal and the purpose... my quest still continues on to this day
If you are stuck or dont understand something in this video please ask. I assume by the time you hit maps and are able to do things in this video you have a basic understanding of the game. The content in this video is designed for end game uber content to help newer players break into it. Blight is now something that show up in act 3 during the campaign and is explained what to do when you talk to Cassia and interact with her. They actually put the encounter in your way in the sewers so you cant miss her. But if you have deeper questions of what the mechanic is or what you need ask that. I sadly cant understand / know / address every question people have without information

I might actually go back to blight in 3.25. I had fun with it but the lag is killing me. I am aware of the combo of Vulkan + Disable sound, which helped me a bit into simulacrum but I haven't tried it into blight maps yet.
For sure, I am not at the point of being into maps in 10 hours though. My best time up to now to beat the campaign is 25 hours. Much better than the 40 and 50 I had before but not fast enough to be among the first to claim the prixe there.
I'll aim for less than 20 hours this time and hopefuly I should not be too far off :)
A tip i can give you is to only play one build type that you are experienced and comfortable with. It'll be a bit boring but you'll get to maps much quicker because you don't have to spend time looking at a guide to know where your passives go, or what skill gem rewards to accept, or what you may or may not need to pick up.
All these little things add up a lot.

This is what I've been waiting for, I'm not sure what I'll be running but it needs to have clear and A LOT of DPS without high investment. Lightning arrow is good, but I'm worried about the investment needed to get it actually running well.
What do you think about a Bleed pop build? Or a chaos pop? Those are always great at clearing and I can depend on the towers to take out the bosses.
my only concern about blight (or any of the out-side-of-map mechanics) this league is that we will be missing out on the league content itself (gold, the ore/resources or w.e. it is that we sent workers to collect)
I mean you can split your time between this and other things if this interest you. You dont SOLEY need to do blight but I hear you

I would appriciate a real leaguestarted build test. You always do this guides which is really nice, but always do them whith mageblood and crazy good builds ...
I always do a league starter guide with solo self found gear and it has step by step progression of leveling through the acts. I plan to do the same this league. Not every build I do is crazy. Also the last two leaves headhunter na mageblood where the cheapest they have ever been and the most obtainable they have ever been!

I havent been able to make one yet. I highly suggest players make their own filter. As copying a filter leads to you missing out on things YOU MIGHT want. I know me for example if you follow something I make it usually changes every few hours to suit my specific needs.
Infernal cry is a one gem add that makes the monsters explode. You don't have to deal the damage. Its HUGE QOL, especially if your build cannot do much damage. Super EZ cheese to add.

When I try to annoit a map more that 1 time I get at error message cannot be annoit more than 3 time (but I did only once)
Only blight ravaged can have 9 total anoints (can only do 3 of one type tho) regular blighted maps can only have 3

I was the gentleman :P It's good to know that the towers are enough to deal with it, albeit rather slow. I decided to do Mjölner again since Connor has proven it to be not significantly weaker, so tankiness won't be an issue later, same as damage. After all, despite it being SC, I dislike dying :D

Can you do a regex for blight ravaged maps i.e greying out undesirable modifiers, if so do you have one?
Regex should be designed on a per character basis. You are only concerned about 2 lines - Monsters Cannot Be Stunned and Monsters Cannot move below base value. The rest of the regex is based on your own personal preference. Like I am sure my character can do maps or is more comfortable in map mods then yours is. So mine wouldnt work for you

I found a 2nd strat was to find do blight in maps more often because they dropped annointed rings. I would then extract oils from them.
What are major chase items from blight? I know strangle grasp is a major chase item.

Just buy 3 ambers for your first normal blighted map, clear it with towers then start slowly sailing into upgrades
@@Travic_ To make it worse, I am doing this in GSF with like 15-20 of us total. Although Amber is low enough tier that it shouldn't be too bad. The tough part will really be getting my own opal/silver oils.

@@Adiuva1 Ambers will drop in like white tier regular cassia encounters. You will find them dime a dozen it wont be hard at all. Like if you start running blight in map you should have a ton of ambers in a handful of maps which will carry you the rest of the league.
As soon as you get 3 amber oils literally go into BLIGHTED MAPS and farm until silver and opal then you can look at blight ravaged. If you get stuck or need help post in the discord!
@@Travic_ I appreciate the feedback! I know Ambers were super common but couldn't recall ever getting Silver outside of blighted or extractors. Will definitely take another look at your blight theory vid from the other day. I know when I saw the changes on the patch notes, the new atlas nodes sounded great. Looking into Blight, Ritual (favorite), and Einhar for my painful flicker farming. Glad to hear I can jump into blighted early though. I will definitely pop by the discord at some point.

Making the filter though will be something that is pretty much going to change and update every few hours for the first couple of days until it is perfected. I should have one eventually into the league that I will make available but PROCEED WITH CAUTION cause I remove and add things very randomly to suit my needs in the moment. I suggest the basic never sink filter to use and scale up as needed and make adjustments on the semi strict filter to your needs.

They work if you build the tower, so anywhere you can build a tower, it will work. That's the overly pretentious way of saying yes, they work in maps.

All of them, NON BLIGHT RAVAGED you just put 3 amber oils on the map and you cruise. I have a recent video on this

Depends on how well you keep cool and know how to navigate the map. You never want to just get 1 shotted.....but I mean....who needs defense when we have towers? Any build SHOULD KINDA BE OK if you can keep cool under the pressure of blight and get a few towers rolling.

5800X3D is less than $300 now, the cheapest motherboard is $95. The GPU doesn't matter as long as you don't build too many seismic towers
Great guide! Which iLvL 86 bases would you filter for? Just did a blight ravaged map and the amount of bases are too much :D Was thinking of evasion bases for T1 spell supp and ES gear for the T1 ES rolls.
With the new patch coming, you'd want to aim for any of the new top tier bases and especially so if they can drop at 30% quality.
Does burning ground from multiple towers stack ? if not is it better to buy more scout towers at the end to kill stuned bosses
Meteor towers have mediocre aoe and slow attack speed so it's probably well worth building a lot of them.

In leaguestart SSF scenario, unless I have explody/ignite/poison char, I should always have Cassia's pride?
Atlas passives only affect regular maps. They do not have any impact on blighted maps.
The keystone is great for early in the league if you combine it with the passives that reduce tower cost.

They are very bad because of knockback. If you have billions of damage, that doesnt stop you though.

You have to kill more of the mobs with damaging towers to reduce the amount of enemies in the map
Don't build too many seismic towers if your GPU is weak. If your CPU is weak you're cooked, get a 5800X3D for less than 300 bucks

@@Martin_Hermann oh yeah I actually used a 3570K for 10 years (overclocked to 5Ghz) and Blight will definitely bring it to its knees. BUT you also have an x8 lane electrically connected RX 6600 in a PCIe 3.0 slot which is also a big problem. I'm now on 5800X3D (PoE loves X3D chips) and use Radeon chill to lock my frame rate between 82 and 84 FPS (because it's half of my monitor's refresh rate) at 3440x1440p

@@Travic_ its pretty good since you can add them on choke points to help you out, also they are great if IDGAF mobs break trough your set up, ballsitas are great to block that mob and build defences around it. It's not perfect, since you have no explosions or dot prolifs etc, but it's pretty good.

You can enchant the reflected rings with reflective oil just not kalandra touch.
@@Travic_ yes, my point is, if I use enchant on reflected ring , i got double value if enchant because of reflection. I mean enchant isn't ignored by reflextion, kalandra reflect enchant too. ?that is what I thought so far.
@@tomaskazatel2922 it is but you dont care to double the anoint. Like your chilling towers already freeze you need a second anoint for damage or power or defenses. Kalandra ring is really good yes but in terms of power for blight you need the anoint more early.

@@sunshinydays.6487 Because there will never be enough bases to slam together to make good items. Recombinators will delete items constantly and people will always be needing them to make better and better things. Theres a lot of good videos on how recombinators work and how impactful they were in sentinal league. I would recommend learning how they work if you never used them before it could be a pretty big change going forward.
