    Yes, trying to hard to fix myself and if not in direct relation to physical pain, it's the other, depression, anxiety . I'm constant trying to figure out what's wrong with me and fix it. I'm the meantime, life feels small and is passing me by comparing myself to others. So this message is reaching me in multiple levels.

    Hi Dan, when you say “ you care too much” a switch just went on. In general I am a caring person and I care a lot about family and people and always wanted to help others. I’m thoughtful and caring most of the time… but I never thought about that part of me caring too much in the pain and anxiety… I’m trying so hard to get it right and do the “right” thing.
    Hmm very interesting , I’m giving pain and anxiety too much attention.. 🤔

    You are right Dan. If you are busy all day with danger that is not there, the brain will assume the opposite and will not let go. I'm trying to make TMS not my daily mission and it's getting better and better. But I won't be able to do a day without your fantastic videos. I want to see them. My Daily Dosis Dan. Thank you 🙏!

    Dan, your words are always right on time. Absolutely this is part of what is hindering my full recovery. I’m trying to stay in the here and now and let my focus shift. I think all of us ruminate and obsess and it’s a lifelong habit for me, and wow it’s hard to break lol. Love how calm you are and how down to earth and normal and easy to understand your approach is. Your videos are keeping A LOT of people going and in a state of calm. Thank you endlessly for your words. Also, often, people with Mindbody issues lacked just hearing kind words from parents or caretakers on any regular basis, or any words of comfort, and your words really fill in that big void as we all learn to be our own cheerleaders and own best friends.

    The Spanish analogy is the bomb!! That clicked! Yes!! Love you, Dan!! I hope you know how much good you’re doing. All us TMSers are very determined and type A people and I didn’t even think that there is such a thing as TOO much too fast. Saturday, I had the BEST day I had in a long time because I told my brain, go bleep yourself, I’m having fun today. And bam I was fine. It was remarkable. Of course my brain went in hard on me on Sunday lol. But I know what that is now. It’s not because I overdid anything, it’s because my brain is conditioned to respond to me leaving the house and having fun by creating sensations. Living life is absolutely the answer. It’s HARD at first. Wow it’s hard. But that’s ok. One thing I know is every single person I’ve come across with this Mindbody syndrome is that we are all incredibly strong and resilient. We can do this. We can do hard things. We can be such an amazing example for the children in our lives, our peers in pain. Yes, resume life and stop obsessing. I just love ya!! You’re keeping me going.

    Thank you for this. So helpful again. Do you have any advice or stories to share though how to cope with PDP when you are feeling under the weather or are actually sick? This is so hard when the body is actually coping with something, even when it’s just a cold.

    but DAN!!!! i have had growing pain for the past few days, i don't know why, but when i just practice indifference, my brain just keeps causing the pain!!! i'll check in every now and then, but the pain is still there!!! it seems if i'm indifferent to the pain, my TMS brain becomes indifferent to my indifference and just keeps causing the pain... i need another clue, coz i'm NOT trying too hard!!
    have you heard of HSPs? it stands for 'Highly Sensitive Person' and it means your nervous system is just on high key all the time, and I'm one of them, and i wonder if i'm ever going to be able to just be indifferent, coz my nervous system is wired differently... i don't know, maybe that's just another freak out :(

    • @Inge508
      @Inge508 2 года назад +4

      My first book was from a psychologist having fibromyalgia and being HSP.. she just noticed that HSP- people can easily get stressed out than others. In your recovery it just means that you have all the interest in avoiding as much stress as possible.. I am highly sensitive too but I see it as a big quality now and I don’t doubt that I will get better.. I have been healthy and full of energy for the first 40 years of my life! So don’t get scared! Hopefully your new symptoms will calm down soon!🙏😘

      @@Inge508 thank you sweetheart, yes, a clown can be sad and scared inside, sniff sniff... i just get 'down' like 'i wish everything didn't hurt so much!'... but i'm learning that i'm safe, i felt the words 'you ARE safe' move through my heart area a few days ago, and even though i feel myself calming down, for some reason, getting a message from God scared the heck out of my TMS brain lolol

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  2 года назад +2

      If you're trying to be indifferent to eliminate the pain, that's not really authentic indifference. It sounds like feigned indifference expecting an outcome. Keep in mind, indifference is just one aspect of getting well.

    • @PainFreeYou

      Stress suppresses both the immune and DIGESTIVE systems which can cause all sorts of irregularities. Stressing out about a stress caused digestive issue is like pouring gasoline on a fire and wondering why it won't go out. Trust your body. Offset stress with more self care and soothing.

    Thanks Dan. I’ve been following TMS healing protocols for two months and it has really helped me regain my life. I actually just got back from a grueling Hawaii vacation (tons of family, sick kids, etc.) and did very well! WELL just found out I’m pregnant. My biggest concern is having to go to the drs for regular appts again because I don’t trust the system. I don’t want to be scared again by possible erratic blood pressure/heart rate readings (like before), having to explain that symptoms are due to overactive nervous system, etc.). Any advice on how to handle doctors post-TMS knowledge?

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  2 года назад +1

      Yes. Trust your intuition. Don't monitor your vitals all day, every day. That can tend to cause us to be more hyper-vigilant and nervous. Breathe. Smile. Congrats! You will do great.
