I finally came back to this game about a week ago after more than a year’s hiatus. In solo I’ve built a desert city and am in the process of making a medieval castle in the highlands. I have missed this game…. Unfortunately I have no friends to play this amazing game with. Thanks for making this video, this game deserve love! Have a good day!
@knightmare4134 i play solo alot as well. There are some good discords for people looking for groups. I've got a group server I'm setting up that should be opening soon
@ Solo is very very nice, and allows you to really build to your hearts content!! Plus sometimes adventuring and finding something new for the first time by yourself is magical. Thank you for the tip about finding a discord group. I did not consider that.
Ugh, there are so many good games out there I’m sure are good, but people just don’t play much anymore. It’s like…hmm.. ah, Dead Island 2. The game’s not even that old, the gameplay is pretty decent if not good. But people don’t play it much starting NG+ which arguably, is where the “true” game starts.
Well . . . .What can I say? Straightforward and to the point. I already subscribed and liked it about halfway through. My personal favourite thing about this Game is despite the fact I'm not very good at it, I still love playing it (If it wasn't for watching various playthroughs on RUclips I'd probably still be on that cross at the beginning singing "Always look on the bright side of life lol)
Ive been playing for years and still live on RUclips and the Conan wiki page haha. I just love that there is always something to do no matter what mood I'm in. You can go combat when you need to rage, building when you need calm, or just explore when you're feeling in between.
the PS4 version got heavy censure after launch. There is a way to circumvent it tho. Just get the physical version of the game, and install it without updating it. You can then play the original, uncensored offline version of the game.
What I always disliked is that on PvP servers I couldn't build anything that looks great. Everyone only ever built Black Ice-Foundations with multiple doors, to defend from raiding. But there is no other way :/
i hate to add to the naysayers cries but as someone who has been playing for years and just quit, i cannot recommend this game to new players. tencent has done irreparable damage to this game. nearly everything has some sort of glitch attached to it and they just cannot release an update that has a smooth, bug free launch for the life of them. they said during age of war chapter 4 that theres going to be longer time between updates as well as removing the battlepass that way they can have more development time to ensure smooth, bug free updates. the first update they release after making that statement was the most broken and bugged update they have ever released in the history of the entire game. incredible. this is what happens when tencent buys your favorite game. its a gradual downward spiral until the game is unplayable. very unfortunate considering i like funcom a lot but tencent sunk their claws into them.
@trolltalwar i am hoping that with the amount of time between age of heroes chapter 1 and 2, the cries from the community, and the new community manager that something will happen.
@ what ever you do don’t mention the Nemidian bug, it makes me very sad 😞😂. Disappearing thrall’s I can cope with 100’s of hours of resources vanishing nearly broke me
none of the "things" you buy will be accessable offline. So if you got building materials or gear in the ingame shop, you can't repair gear and buildings while not being online.
Bro lmao. How much did funcom pay you to say this? The game was at its peak the first 3 years of release. Yes they keep adding content and further break the game code making the game harder and harder to play. They give the community almost nothing they’ve been begging to have implemented for a decade now. They’re completely secretive and have no transparency with their community. I’ve played this game since release day. 10,000+ hours. Where the game does have potential, the devs refuse to update or rebuild the game code and add simple items and features that would make the game fun to the players and make up for the immense amounts of bugs, glitches, hacks, and lag. If you know anything about funcom you know this.
@PAPSN I am not part of funcom in any way nor am I in their creator program. While I do agree there is alot that could improve this game, it is (in my opinion) the best survival/crafting/building game out right now. Funcom is known for being secretive and not good at communication however with the newest community manager I have noticed some changes.
Weird comment. No one was talking about the "peak" of conan gameplay she just said it's a good time to return what's your deal? No possibility she just returned to the game and is trying to get others to return you jump straight to sponerships?
blame tencent, not funcom. tencent owns funcom and makes all the decisions. theyre using this game as a money grab and pumping all the resources into the dune survival game that will also be a gimmicky money grab because this is what tencent does. they buy out their competition, milk it for all its worth, then when theres no more money to be had they liquidate and sink their teeth into the next victim
@@crustyandcruelyou are right the pvp on this game does suck, I have no idea why anyone would even want to play pvp in exiles. As a pve solo or team survival it is actually very good even today.
The game is too easy. I played the first year it came out. Fast forward to last week when I tried to revisit the game. It is weak and watered down. Brutality and editing to increase difficulties still fails to meet expectations. Sandstorms don’t happen, if they do, no damage, no danger. With the environmental risks neutered you don’t have to focus on survival. Combat is simple and pointless don’t even know what they did to mess that up. Might as well just allow players to dupe or spawn their own weapons because obtaining them feels like same effort. Purge? There is no purge, there is no danger. Building was about creative defenses to protect the one place that protected you from the environment. That is gone. Heck even if you drop coffers, purges do not happen. Like it’s broken and bugged. I could get all the achievements without even bothering to drop coffers because the coffer offers no incentive. And since this is the only way to trigger purges they eliminated all of the things that made this game unique. Because this game presents no challenge it feels pointless. Building for the sake of building achieves no purpose. Bland. Boring. Too bad.
If you play on a private server you can change the difficulty. You can also play solo on a harder mode online through the game itself. Random purges are gone but can be turned on on private servers. I've never had sandstorms not happen and kill if uncovered so im not sure what server you were on that they didn't.
@ last week I launched a private server using host havoc for a couple friends that have never played Conan and a couple that have. Those that had, myself included. Disappointed. Doesn’t matter that we play brutality difficulty or maxed npc damage while crippling ourselves. It still goes back to two very important functions that no longer serve their purpose, survival, you vs environment (hampered, practically nonexistent), and building (my bases won’t get purged to the degree and frequency I was accustomed to even with my tampering and increasing. They did something to the base code that despite my manipulations does not provide the result I am seeking. Conclusively, they changed two major components to a game that both pivots and exists on things like sandstorms and purges.
