    I listened to these at their showroom and yup, they are more balanced than the Liionidas. They are no joke and I was really impressed. I will be reviewing them in a few months.

    The Lii Song Drivers in granite could be a game changer. Those drivers have been getting some traction since Lii Song Canada opened shop recently. Great price point as well.

    These are very interesting and nice looking. Impressive using granite with the open baffle , I’d be very interested in giving them a listen and the price point is very appealing.

    If I remember well, this 12 inch wide ranger goes up only to 15 kHz. Its definitely high to very high efficiency, due to the big cones/big magnets, but certainly not the fastest wide rangers around. Detail and nuance may suffer but they'll be nice, engaging, easy-listening all-rounders for sure.

      The crossover loses too much efficiency unfortunately. I love running the F-15s with low powered triodes for certain music. I also have some separately powered bass augmentation.

    • @fullranger3435
      @fullranger3435 8 месяцев назад

      @@CollectingRetro in fact, I do not understand the decision for a second 12inch woofer, if you have to use a cross over, unless it's only on the the woofer. You may also try this configuration crossoverless, if you have the room compensate for the over-presentation of a spectrum area, serviced by both big cones. If you have or want to use a crossover, a smaller fullranger, combined with two 12inch, or one 15 inch woofers would seem a better choice, theoretically. But perhaps they found something in the wideranger and woofer cones to be of the same size.

    I tested that driver in some of my prototypes. It measures very poorly and only plays to about 14K. It is also too heavy and slow to give good detail in the midrange. They are not very expensive drivers as well. So by my calculations, they are about $1200 for the drivers and $13800 for two slabs of granite.

      I may get a demo tomorrow. I've heard great drivers sound terrible and cheaper drivers sound great, so you never know for sure. I was very impressed by the cabinet thickness and aesthetic touches.

    I see they are offering a 40% VIP discount for people who sign up for $1. They have prices on there but its hard to tell if those prices are before or after the discount. If they are the before prices these would be an incredible deal..
