God. He deserves so much to have a truly happy ending, with the people that love him and he loves back. Sherlock always is a painful and beautiful thing to watch because it IS uncompleted. He deserves more, much more. He deserves a definition. The acknowledgement of what he went through and the opportunity to live and love with all that he is. Such a beautiful, kind, sensible, powerful and brilliant character.
@@EvaHedy (Loves) Doesn't always have to mean love in a romantic way. I don't know. I just would like to see a season 5 because I love Sherlock, but I'm happy with this ending if there's no Sherlock S5.
@@Kyra-gg5gs Well, I don't agree. We need a explicit relationship between this two, just as canon seems to establish based in all the subtext in the novels and ACD own view of homosexuality. I'm tired of seeing Sherlock Holmes and Irene Adler as a thing in all the massive media that got out there, when it's pretty damn clear that Adler doesn't give a shit about Sherlock Holmes and Holmes only admired her in ONE story, but we have 56 short stories and 4 novels of two man loving each other dearly and romantically, even to the point of retiring together to Sussex, and after 140 years of their existence, we still have nothing.
This is why I love this show, the deeper story Behind the silly antics and the cases, there was always something else, something darker looming in the background. Sherlock's past, his trauma revealing itself is sad beautiful ways.
Unpopular opinion: I like the series finale bc we learn more about what happened in Sherlock's childhood and therefore more about his whole being/character, the way he is and why and that was very interesting. So I don't really like it when people talk so bad about that season or act like it doesn't exist bc I think it's important to acknowledge every aspect of the story.
I think a lot of people liked it…sometimes some people have to let things grow on them. Although it’s true him having a sister or Mary being anything but sweet is far from the original, which may have been an issue for some. There was a lot of visual darkness, and cold, hard surroundings to go with the topic. We need at least 3 more seasons, tho, and with NO mention of the past 3 years, would be best to help the world move on, plus it’s a tiresome topic, above all. Just press on, as if nothing happened. Also ignore the pronoun and confusion fad, (or expose it for what it is, but better to not ruin a whole episode unless it’s just mentioned in a passing moment, but not be a part of the storyline), because all that was socially-engineered, and of course it’s the most dangerous fad, because it’s causing permanent psychological and physical harm to many. Best if they create stories that have focus primarily outside of current events, other than if it includes royalty, they’d have to acknowledge that, mentioning a king, for example, rather than the queen. People get enough of the news on the news, and Doyle didn’t drag current politics into his stories. It’s one factor that should absolutely remain in accordance with him. I’m glad they didn’t try to eliminate his addiction or downplay it as some versions have done in the past, though they were also more of a family hour type show, back when ethics and family were still honored. They did well, as it was a part of his character.
Tbh I wish the show expanded more on certain things, the writing had a tendency to kinda drop random details and then never elaborating enough further down the line on why that was important. Like Mycroft and Sherlock’s relationship. We see the tension and hostility, but not enough about why. Or John’s PTSD. It’s the opening scene of the entire show, but it isn’t expanded on as a part of his character, it’s just sprinkled in here and there for kicks. Or Molly as a mortician/post-mortem worker; why does she let Sherlock have access to cadavers and why is it so emphasized that she fancies him?
Had this pop up in my silent notifications on RUclips twice. I think there's something truly beautiful about hearing actors act without background music or distractions in their surroundings... all I can focus on is the sound of Sherlock's breathing as he panics. Applause.
This is what is going on in Sherlock's mind. People who have watched the show for entertainment probably praise him for being a cool and clever sociopath (in his own words a sociopath) but there is a deeper aspect in his mind and this edit really shows what's going on. Amazing work honestly
This is a masterpiece. It made me cry, it made me cry so hard. You captured that one thing that not everyone sees in this show. Sherlock is such a deep, misunderstood character. I feel like he is so full of self doubts, full of guilt, full of hate against himself, his mind spinning all the time. He deserves the world. I hope he's happy.
I know the song. It called ELEVATOR SONG. I’ve forgotten the artist If you listen to the song you can actually hear the elevator with people coming and going. Great choice👍👍👍👍
I love this ❤️ It really shows how the abuse Sherlock went through traumatised him. Many people forget that Eurus did abuse him and I love that this shows the importance of awareness. I loved the way you used the line “you were screaming”. It has a really haunting and emotional affect.
It's known that people who were abused in their family often find themselves in abusive relationships later in life. Maybe this is what happend to Sherlock. He keeps this relationship with John, even though he crearly abuses him. Beats up, blames for no reason. Expects him to give up his life for his well-being... It would be nice if Sherlock could overcome his trauma eventually.
@@elenaovcharuk8529 FINALLY, someone pointing out that John is abusive towards Sherlock, physically and mentally. Watson isn't SUPPOSED to be like that. He never was in the source material. I have no idea why Moftiss turned him into such an asshole.
@@elenaovcharuk8529despite the many, many flaws with the show’s writing this is one of the fun things to analyze and think about. Neither John nor Sherlock are necessarily good for each other, they both go through cycles of hurting one another, but they keep going back regardless.
This is so incredible. I dont usually get emotional with videos on youtube but this...gosh this really hits me hard. I started crying at the very beginning and never stopped. It's absolutely brilliant. And "you were screaming" idea...such creative and original. Thank you so much for all the emotions!

God just god, I want to hug him so badly like I want him to show he is loved and can have feelings and help him with his trauma. Boy please, it’s so painful to see an incredible and absolutely amazing character like him so broken, traumatized and overwhelmed with himself. No word in the world would be enough to describe how much love and empathy I feel for him and how much I want to show him ❤
Oh my gosh this was the best, most well written show I’ve ever watched. I absolutely loved every episode. My favorite was the fall one (I can’t remember the exact name of it lol). I love the show because of A M A Z I N G every character’s development was, especially Sherlock and John’s friendship progression. OMG ITS SO GOOD. And the abominable bride episode- wow! Legit, no joke, no exaggeration, i'm pn verge of tears. This is painfully beautiful and now i definitely need to rewatch it (because i only remember first 2,5 seasons lol)

He is complete now. He goes on with his life with two new people he loves. John Hamish Watson and Rosamund Mary Watson.
