Got any suggestions on where I should go next? Let me know!!!
Welcome to iTripReport's flight reviews, which I focus on reviewing both the soft product and hard product of airlines around the globe. I strive to give you guys a first person perspective of different aspects of the flight. Including the ground service, onboard service, and those views that come with the flight. As you can see, I record quite a lot of the experience to make sure I record what you want to watch. As always, thank you so much for watching.
Allegiant recently opened a base at my home airport at DSM, and it has opened up so much travel for the state of Iowa in general. I respect them because they are willing to have a low cost bad reputation while providing service to undeserved communities.
I just flew on Allegiant A320 a few weeks ago and it wasn´t any different from all my other Allegiant flights. I´ve been flying on this carrier for over 10 years. Staff are always great and I feel safe, it´s affordable and a direct flight home. I took Southwest once and it was an awful experience so I stick with Allegiant for all of my direct flights home.
I’ve heard they like to cancel flights a lot! Why is this? I’m hoping mine isn’t canceled
Hi, does Allegiant actually have a measuring tool for the size of the carry ons you bring? My bag would be 2 inch wider than what’s set on their website. Thanks!
@@graceco32 yes, there's this metal measuring stand. In L.A. they had ppl place there bag in it to see if a bag was too wide or too tall. If so, it goes to checked baggage. I see it in other smaller cities but didn't see ppl use it much.
@@bIowzs funny i replied before and it seems to have been removed. To answer your question again, my allegiant flights on the west coast, sw & Midwest have never been canceled. I haven't experienced that before.
Back from another A320 ✈️ flight and again, another great experience 👍
Man I love stormy night flights like those. I remember a PHL-DFW flight I was on that took us all the way down towards JAX because it was the only safe path.
Man, that's one powerful take off! No skimping on the thrusters. Pedal to the metal! Great report.
Love flying Allegiant... usually fly from Allentown Pa to Punta Gorda Fla often..it is a quick 2hr flight. Never had a bad flight. The crews are always very nice.
Wow look at iTripReport what a lad
And where have you been?
This is good to hear. I’m planning to take Allegiant to Florida at the end of the month, for the first time. They fly directly from my airport to the town where my brother lives. It’s great!
how was your experience? im taking a flight from a little town close by to FL as well
I flew x4 in 3 months time. I had great flights, all on time. Good experience in take off and landing, not fearful. I appreciate the crew
Thanks, flying my first budget airline tomorrow and wanted to se what I’m in for. Perfect video for that.
I’ve flown with this airline once before. It was a nice experience.
l love Allegiant. The staff is friendly and l get to where I have to go safely and on time. l haven't had any issues anytime I've flown with them.✈️😃
As someone who just booked with Allegiant, was a little worried about the recent reviews. This video really helped out, calmed my concerns a bit. Thanks for posting
Me too. Going from Appleton to Florida in September. Fearful flyer. It has been 20 years since I have flown.
Excellent video Emil! CVG is the closest big airport to me (LEX is closer) and it’s always an easy airport to use!😸
Thanks for this report. Happy Monday! Ciao.

Flying allegiant from BOI today, thanks for the review!
Parabéns pelo vídeo... 👏🏿🤝🏿
Thanks for this report! I am flying allegiant soon and I have never flown them before, so this is very handy! Thing is, we got seats behind the wing so, unfortunately, no CFM 56(or other A319/A320 engine) sound for us.
Fly Allegiant often. Short flights, smaller airports, priced right..Allentown to Sanford Orlando and Myrtle Beach 6 to 8 times a year. Perfect for me.
Flew Allegiant for the first time in December of 21, FNT to LAS. I was worried about the experience preceding the airline’s reputation, however it was pretty dang easy. I, along with my brother and girlfriend, opted for the front row seats and being 6’1 I’m certainly glad I did spring for some extra legroom. Not the worlds comfiest seat, but a direct flight from Flint to Vegas under 80 bucks? Not bad!
I am so glad you took this flight and showed this Airline and plane. Will I fly this, NO. Great review.
Flights to Vegas are always great and staff friendly
The last time I flew on Allegiant I flew on an MD-83. I’m getting ready to fly with them again for the first time in over 10 years on one of their A320s (this is also my first time flying on an Airbus aircraft) I’ll be flying from Peoria (KPIA) to Las Vegas (KLAS) at the end of March.
You will have a much better improved flight. I took 4 flights recently and all were great. No fears, clean.
I love your videos man! BTW how much was that little snack pack?? Keep up the good work.
I loved this vlog. I was just accepted to Allegiant Flight Attendant Training.
Hello Rachel... i am just waiting for the schedule date
Allegiant can be very good! And they can be awful! Last July, we had an absolutely wonderful ride down to Nashville from Grand Rapids. But 10 minutes after getting to the gate for our return trip, our flight was canceled. After waiting 3 hours to get our luggage back, we rented a car and drove home. (You can't book another flight without luggage). Allegiant did refund the cost of our canceled flight (which covered most of the rental car and a hotel for the night). They also provided two small vouchers which we applied to the cost of our trip to Jacksonville last week. Fast forward to 2/23. Once again Allegiant provided a great trip down to JAX (it was an hour late getting out of Grand Rapids). After a nice getaway in St Augustine we returned to JAX for our flight home on Saturday afternoon 3/26. The app was showing a 20 minute delay when we got to the counter so we hung onto our luggage for a while. Soon that 20 minutes turned into an hour. They told told us that our plane was coming down from Grand Rapids but hadn't left yet. After a few more minutes the delay moved to two hours but our flight finally left GRR for JAX so we checked our bags and proceeded to TSA. Our flight finally arrived and everyone boarded and buckled up. After a few minutes, the Captain made an announcement that they had some paperwork to finish and it would be a few minutes yet. Finally a gate agent came on board and announced that our Pilot had "Time Out" meaning his flying time was up until he got 12 hours rest. Our flight was canceled for the night and that we would be re-booked for the next morning. He told us that Allegiant was providing $175 right away. They led us back into the terminal. it was now after 11:00 pm. All area hotels had sold out hours earlier. So while the timed out flight crew headed for their hotel, we made the best of our situation and spent the night in the terminal with no food available until morning. My wife and I made it work but there were families with small children that had a very long night. I have 2 more small vouchers. Sadly after two major issues in just over 6 months, Allegiant is not a reliable option for air travel for us - at any price.
The satirical nature of your videos cracks me up. 😂 Keep up the great work
This is the first video I've watched and it took me a minute. Like, what is he talking about, those trays are tiny!
@@jgreenjeans he will throw the occasional joke in there and it’s catches me off guard. It’s pretty funny 😂
@iTripReport i love a good cfm engine buzz and whistle
Fly all the time from FL to OH. Love it. 2hrs, 10/15 mins. I'm home.
I just flew allegiant non stop from Cincinnati to Vegas and back (And came back with 1,000 bucks more than I left with 🙂) a few days ago. A little over 4 hours there and a little under 4 hours back. This time I went for an exit row with the extra leg room and that made a HUGE difference for me. I'm 6'7". I flew the same basic route with Spirit several months ago and they used the same A320 with the same seats. I was in a regular seat that time and I was miserable. Sitting all the way back in the seat I couldn't even fit 1 finger between my knees and the back of the seat in front of me. That was a rough flight. But the Spirit crew was nice and funny. But honestly, if you're of average height, the seats are fine. Yeah, they're a little close together and there's not much arm room, but it's fine. Leg room is also fine if you're not a giant. The seats could be a bit more cushiony. My butt started to hurt after about 3 hours. But just get up and walk up and down the isle once during the flight and you'll be good. The flight attendants were nice and friendly and the pilots made the flight very smooth both ways. Over all, I don't think you can beat the price even with paying a little extra for a carry on and an exit row if you want it. I'm actually looking at booking the exact same flight with them to go back to Vegas here towards the end of January. Definitely recommended.
Flew allegiant to FLL from MSP back in November on a 319. Flight was an hour and 45 minutes late and of course they didn't try making up any time in the air. Once we landed the jet bridge was broken and had to sit an extra half hour. Hate the airline but you get what you pay for.
I’ve flown Allegiant on their really old a319’s and it was a full flight from ELP-LAS, I had to explain to the very confused couple next to me why the plane was “barking” lol and the seats were actually pretty okay until the flight got past an hour or so in the air… my back hurt. But other than that I couldn’t complain as I was flying standby
I am flying out of PDG FL to CVG next Thursday and I have used this airline for 13 years to fly back-and-forth to see my family I’ve never been on a dirty airplane but the pictures you show are cleaner than most peoples cars for the price I will suffer it out for 2 to 4 hour flights because all other flights are double and triple the cost
We vacation for 2 weeks each summer on Cocoa Beach FL and I am the Sherpa that hauls all our stuff down and back in the SUV and any of our kids can ride with as copilots or not. Last year one way tix from Pittsburgh >>>Sanford (Orlando area and ~55min drive from our condo) NONstop were ~ $50. Kids and wife flew and I picked them up at airport. Because I purchased that many tix, Allegiant gave me a $20 coupon to use over next month and my one son copilot found a midweek flight back for $35. Applied coupon and I made him hop on it and, yes I still have the receipt for a nonstop flight from Orlando to Pittsburgh for $15.88. I don’t care how hard and small the seats are, I flew him home nonstop for less than he would have eaten at Sheetz. Other than one storm delay, we never had a bad experience on Allegiant. Yes, no frills, but $15.88?…Really!?!
flew them from lax-hnl on a 757 back in 2015. not a bad flight at all. paid for a seat upgrade which was well worth it. would fly them again.
I flew allegiant last year from MFR-SNA and it went super smoothly. the only thing is I had never flown with them before so I didn't know that water wasn't free so i was a little annoyed at that lol. other than that i wouldn't mind flying with them again
Trying Allegiant (DAY -PDG) for the first time and as for someone whose mainlines are Delta & United, I am attempting to prepare myself for a whole different atmosphere...
My very first flight was on an Allegiant MD80 about five or six years ago. Since then, I’ve had several trips from Harrisburg, PA to Orlando/Sanford on Allegiant. They are a better company than Frontier in my opinion. The newer A320s are nice and have seriously cut down on delays. I will be flying with Allegiant this weekend, but I am a little nervous because it has been two years since flying anywhere.
I just booked a flight for my hubby and I from Appleton to Orlando on Allegiant. I am so nervous since I haven't flown for over 20 years. Actually scared spitless. Lol. I so miss the ocean though. Pray everything goes well. Staying with friends for a week down there.
I have flown Allegiant and you can’t beat it for the price!!
I see you landed on runway 27. :-) CVG is my home airport and we have flown Allegiant a number of times and have had nothing but fantastic experience with them. As you point out on your video, they are ULCC and you get what you pay for in terms of seat quality. But every flight crew has been great. And the direct flight for far less money is a huge deal for travelers on a budget or, in our case, with a primary goal of fast travel time. Allegiant's upgrade to an all Airbus fleet has been a major success in terms of their reliability.
You do realize that Allegiant has recently placed an order for 100 new Max 8s?
@@athleticguy15 Yes but their initial consolidation to newer and more uniform equipment was a major operational and cost improvement. The Max purchase was due to delivery timing needs but will not harm their operational costs like their previous rag tag fleet did.
Allegiant a319s provide amuch comfier seat, as well as a more width and a much bigger tray table.
I love working for allegiant. Can't wait until their 737 max 7 and max 8-200s get delivered next year. But am surprised they didn't go for the Airbus neo
Which aircraft model is used from LAX to FSD (South Dakota)?
I fly Allegiant on a regular basis from PBI> USA 🇺🇸 😎 I always get the roomier seats up front.. 4A/ 4B if available. Mostly great flights ✈️. One trip on way back, the pilot banked very hard to the left on final approach. Very weird
I fly alligent about twice a year..my next trip is this August from Shreveport to destin FL
I’m taking Allegiant to Florida this April
Soo cool 😎
I have flown with them several times - maybe 10 - and only had one issue which was a hour delay due to an issue with the plane.
Good cheap flight from A to B when the others are just ridiculous for the same flight. Anyone commenting otherwise either A has a sh$t ton of money to blow or B don't even really understand the difference and just think they are entitled because their parents flew them on delta a couple times. Many flights, with many different carriers in all classes and I can say I am happy to have Allegiant available in my area for quick getaways!
The trouble is you can't even get five-star service on a full-service carrier either. You gotta take what you can get in this country.
I have flown it a few times from buffalo to florida. If its a packed flight your f&Ied. Its tight tight tight. Usually service is decent but the seats are hard plastic and tight. I have also been canceld and delayed before with no replacement plane. I prefer not to fly them But I think better than frontier and spirit.
Flew into PA, holy frick the left bank and turbulence made a poor kid throw up
I want this guys job!
I fly a ton with work. Typically with the three domestic majors, and almost exclusively first class. I'm not going to completely crap on this airline because I get what they are trying to do. I just flew Allegiant this week (x2, the second time being tonight). I found the experience ripe with the possibility of improving their processes and procedures. The entire operation just felt "Sloppy". Ground crews were slow with off-loading and on-loading bags on both ends of the trip, the airline was slow with notifying passengers the flight was going to be cancelled for the evening (on my outbound. Literally could have saved me a trip to the airport under the circumstances), the boarding process was easily the worst I'd been involved with - complete chaos. Many other minor notes. I'm a huge fan of aviation, and an even bigger fan of improving processes and the idea of getting a job with Allegiant and fixing these issues would have me truly excited to go to work every day. Like I said before, I get what they are doing. It just seems the processes are incredibly immature and need so much help....
We fly them all the time to Florida and Vegas. I am a veteran so I get two free checked bags up to 100 lbs each and a free carry on bag.
I remember the first time I flew Allegiant. I was going from Memphis to Miami. The Airline lost my luggage. I never take a checked bag just a carry on when I fly..
Allegiant is a very smart company. They have a perfect business plan - always on top with performance. Recently Allegiant was recognized as one of the worlds safest airlines. I love them.
You really have to give it to them, they went from having 3 planes all declare an emergency within 30 minutes of each other, to having one of the most unique and profitable route networks. Good for them for completely re inventing their image!
I know its a discount airline so how Comfortable are the seats I flew Spirt arline and there seats are very hard
1:16 offers no explanation for the spontaneous single-engine water salute taking place in front of him, fair enough
I remember when allegiant actually had full-size tray tables
Nice and also go again Aeromexico from sfo to mexico piz 🙂
I’ve only flown them once a decade ago and still remember them having really sticky floors .
Living between FLL and AVL I was THRILLED to find lots of service on Allegiant. First couple trips were great. On time (mostly), friendly service combined with low fares and NONSTOP! I was sold. Got their BoA points credit card to boot. Out of the next 4 trips 3 cancelled. 2 at departure time- LITERALLY and one several days before departure. No customer service. Just a text on your phone that your cxld. Flights are full and seats maybe not available for 1,2 or 3 days out. So you're stuck. I ended up spending WAY more on 2 walk up fares on Delta and American to get there than I EVER saved on SEVERAL Allegaint flights. I'm back on AA and DL- they can at least get you there. I have points on Allegiant that are worthless to me bcuz like most people I need to be there when I buy a ticket and I no longer trust them to operate. EVERY airline cancels flights- it's what happens after that makes the difference and as you say... YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
4th viewer, and likely 1st Greg.
I wanted to see the inside seating on the plane!
I live 3 miles from an Allegiant airport and I've only flown them once.
The only thing that caught my attention is that a plane flying through a thunderstorm but I'm sure the pilots are specially trained to steer clear of those if I was traveling on a plane through a thunderstorm I'm not scared
ULCCs are off limits for me. I'm in a wheelchair and I need room, something that ULCCs just don't have. I'm heading from Syracuse to Manchester in June aboard Delta and Virgin Atlantic, in first class! Really looking forward to it!
I fly Allegiant all the time, , love this airline. If you want comfort, free drinks, free seating, free luggage, more leg room, Pay more money and fly delta, or United
I haven't flown since I was 4 July1990 went to Texas see my Aunt
This is how it should be; spirit; frontier then Allegiant: frontier should be up there now that their popularity has increased
That's not a factory fresh plane !! If you notice the orange handrails under the luggage bin that indicates it's a old easy jet from the Uk. Although Allegiant has just placed a order for 50 brand new planes this is not one!! I work for them and can tell you damn near anything you need to know about them!
14:23 you hear AP disconnect
Almost all pilots land their planes manually, that's probably why the disconnect.
@@jmrx12 yup
Flying Gayllegiant, aka the worlds 3rd most dangerous sport
Allegiant has not changed a bit!!!! They still cancel your flight at the last minute without giving a reason. They refuse to help you find another flight, and it it is hell getting your money back!!!
ITRIPREPORT
En Memphis mi hijo a esperado por 5 horas y nada pésimo servicio y lo peor no contestan las llamadas jamas vuelo a comprar con ellos
Only flown G4 twice and…I’ll just pass lol
Allegiant ain’t cheap at all😂
Bro would you ever consider just doing a voice over for the videos? It’s hard to enjoy when constantly pausing or rewinding to read what you missed. Please consider doing voice over instead of text. Other than that, great video.
I respect your opinion but I like that he doesn't talk. I watch a lot of these kinds of videos and I can never make out what people are saying over the whine of the plane engines, not to mention having to wear masks.
I do wanna make a voiceover, but tbh I might only do it for certain videos. Like one I have in the works, this wouldn’t necessarily be a trip report but it’d be a kind of like blog style video doing a challenge.
Unfortunately I know the majority does love voiceovers, it’s what helped Noel Philips and Paul grow, but I guess it’s not really my style. But trust me, I do plan on giving it a try soon
Noooooo, text is much better than voice overs.
The noise makes me sleep.

It's the only company I fly...it's the price that won me over. I
This standard of seats is even worse than ULCC's in europe. They have large enough tray tables.

Am I the only one who noticed an Allegiant plane getting a water salute at 1:17 ?
I don't mind paying $2 for a can of soda and a cup of ice that's what they charged.
Suffering from laryngitis, or are you just trying to be irritating? If it is the latter, try using one of those fake computer generated voices for the narration. That will do the trick.
Nah I suffer from "IllbeeditingusingmyownstyleandasIwant"itis, unfortunately. Very terrible diseas
Low cost my ass, use to be.
Horrible unqualified pilots. Chief pilot flew into an air show to an airport that was closed to normal traffic. Did not read his notes in advance. When told the airport was closed and they would have to go to alternate airport, they could not detour. They did not have enough fuel to make it to their alternate destination. This is against FAA regulations. Did they report it to management at Allegiant? Didn’t have to. The captain was the chief pilot, and the first officer was the director of flight safety.
Shows a poor focus on safety from those leading the pilot group. Are they safe? Not making these decisions.
pretty empty flight
Worst airlines in the sky.
MY PLANE WAS SO SO OLD..
Definitely not IAE 🤮🤮🤮
My next trip is from London to Richmond will be on June 6.
