- Greeting everyone, thank you for joining me!
Upon many recommendations and requests I’m flying India’s very ambitious IndiGo, the largest airline in India and Asia.
I’m taking the last flight of the day between Mumbai and Bengaluru. In this particular case the fare was higher vs the full service Air India and Vistara, so let’s see how this low cost competes against that!
Thank you for being here and enjoy!
Today we are showcasing you the following flight:
From: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai, India
To: Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru, India
Flight Number: 6E 6571
Aircraft Type: Airbus A320neo
Registration: VT-IIB
Flight Time: 01:16
Don’t forget to like and subscribe if you enjoyed our video!
Feel free to leave a comment with your opinion and feedback.
Have a nice one!
You can also leave a Super Like as a tip for my work. I’ll invest it all on future trips.

I travelled through Mumbai airport last April and I was blown away how great the airport was. Can’t believe that Indigo was more expensive than Vistara or Air India. The best airline to do in India is Air India as they allowed free bags and every flight has a free hot meal.
I yet have to find an IndiGo ticket that’s cheaper on the dates I fly. Heck, it was even more expensive then Emirates from BOM to DXB! So the choice was easy.
Yes, Air India continues to be my favorite Indian airline for now!
Dey will geve foods please
IndiGo Airlines seems to be the poorest airline in the world.
During the 8 hour trip they did not give any food let alone drink. I was surprised. Everything was sold like a hawker. I have boycotted from today, and I will encourage everyone to boycott..😡😡😡😡
@@saifulsaif2147uhh atleast they are making business but still u have a point
Even as a non-Indian I felt proud for how long they’ve gotten when I looked at Mumbai airport 🤩
Insane airport! Way better then the majority out there.
It's Just because Mumbai gdp is higher then some of the European countries 😁

This is the smoothest landing I have ever seen in any flight.. KUDOS to the Pilots :)
3:06 The best thing I always do is these:
1. Eat a couple of hours earlier until boarding, that way your food digests faster.
2. Bring or Buy a Snack and a drink.
3. Use The Restroom earlier, so you don’t make a line in the plane.
4. Sleep for sometime.
5. Walk around the airport, as it helps get things in your body moving.
6. Shower in the lounge.
That is perfect! One thing that I do before all of that is to exercise before almost every flight, and also after whenever I’m not too tired.
It’s so easy to gain weight when you’re just seated for hours.
Good tips, thanks for sharing!

My experience with Indico has always been great ..The crew is professional...Aircrafts are clean and almost everytime on time....I think it must have been a one off experience with them...They are wonderful almost everytime 😊
I’ve flown so far 3 times with them, 1 good and 2 poor. It all depends, like anywhere in the service industry. I look forward to more!
I agree... It's a service industry...Once I was seated near the window and I noticed a small blot of ketchup on the window... something that would have gone unnoticed while cleaning up...The staff was so apologetic and kind. They had it cleaned and offered me another seat...And once there was a medical emergency on board, the crew was so professional in handling the issue...My experience with them has been very nice almost everytime...I did notice a bit of gloom a year before last when the staff were unhappy with the management...but, the same was resolved and they are back...
One of the sweetest n best video of airlines I have ever seen
Thanks a lot, so kind of you to say 😊
As an aviation nerd, I am thrilled to have discovered your channel. It’s great comfort viewing on a relaxed Saturday evening at home.
Me too.. and perhaps the first aviation vlogger who makes us laugh too..😂😂
@@travelandbeyonds yes I like the quirky humor too :)
Indigo is a budget carrier just in terms of quality. You can find much lower prices in Air India with much better service. They need to improve a lot with their service or reduce prices dramatically. But fortunately for them they have gained control over Indian skies with largest network and to almost all airports in India.
I agree, as for most of the flights to/from Dubai and beyond that I was looking for, IndiGo was rarely the cheapest.
As long as they make flying possible to those that didn’t hace access to it I’m happy. And I’m sure Indian aviation has very bright and interesting years ahead!

Thanks for the comment! Glad you enjoyed.
Bro I trust you!! I have flown through Indigo a couple of times but it lacks the leg space and services too!!! Vistara is best in the domestic sector of these flights
Yes, both Vistara and Air India were way better.I would only take IndiGo if the far on the others is way too overpriced.
@@TheLayoverAviation you are comparing LCC with Full service 😂 Seriously? Also talking about leg space why didnt you book the XL rows 😂
They have that option!
You got to be kidding me! 🤣 lndigo is a LCC not full service. They do pretty good for being LCC! You have no idea what you are talking about. There is a reason why Indigo comes in top 5 LCC in the world. For your mistakes dont blame the airline.
And Raghav! Being an Indian I get it you are cheap! How much ever you will get you will still complain.
@@SshivamKhopkar Bro don't foregt u r also an Indian okay!! Don't thing that all Indians are cheapp!! I am not blaming Indigo completely.. I know its a low cost carrier airline it performs quite well in its sector... But if you consider the prices of airlines now they are hiked... Consider a flight of Mumbai to banglore it's gona be almost same bw Indigo n Vistara.... Hardly 300-400rs difference... Vistara is not a lcc but one who prefers confortt n services will book vistara instead of your indigo xl seats offering just few extra inches of leg space.. I just suggested that one can prefer another airline for a better experience neither i meant to hurt your luv for indigo 😂nor someones feelings. Both the airlines are Indian so as a proud Indian i do respect both airlines... Hope it's all fine and we enjoy further vlogs without any conflict..

IndiGo has had some tough times recently. From grounding of multiple Neos due to PW's supply chain issues to being beaten in on-time performance by AI. Hopefully they find their groove.
You should try Air India once again, since it's under TATA and not the Indian government. It has seen massive changes since last year, all for the best fortunately. Can't wait to see their new A350s take flight this year.
About those massive changes? Not in a negative connotation, but what changes did they make? didn't hear anything about it, probably missed out on it ;)
Don't want to put you down, but no 'massive changes' have taken place at Air India yet. And their new CEO himself have acknowledged that no noticeable change will take place for passengers for at least first 2 years till they first sort out their admin problems...
@@bhai857yep the gov job holders don't care much so firing and new hires will take time
I Fled IndiGo lot of times and i had a good experience, i understand your experience mate
I’m sure my next experience will be better. I guess it depends on the day!
How do you tell the model and destinations of other aircrafts seen on the apron or taxing on the runway or even taking off or landing? I take it that you write your narrative during editing, so how do you trace the details back to the exact time of your flight? I mean it’s awesome, but I am just flummoxed as to how you do it retrospectively?
Yes to all! i have various ways of finding out, either live, or writing down the registration, but if nothing works then I’ll go back in time to the day and time on flightradar. They have such a function when you can check historical “live traffic”
@@TheLayoverAviation Thought as much! That’s your hard work and your viewers’ delight to watch! Appreciate the technicalities you bring in with the entertainment!
I understand your frustration mate! But I can promise that your flight was solely ruined by a rude FA. They do deserve another chance as I personally having flown multiple times on them, never encountered any issues.
They’ll get another chance. I’ll also choose one of the front seats. I should have done that before but I wanted a behind the wing action..
To be continued!
Seriously! rude FA?! She was doing her job. Asking for boarding pass to see complimentary food is required by procedure on all Indigo flights as they are supposed to mark it on their SSR sheets!! It barely takes few seconds to show the boarding pass and take it back. Nothing rude about it.
They literally gave him the food first because it was a pre booked meal!
Thry do the food service twice once for corporate and pre booked and second time for the passengers wothout pre booked meals!
This guy was clever to blame the FA calling her rude without knowing the procedure. That is his ignorance! which is very common in the western countries. He didnt put this in the little subtitles on his video!! He could have mentioned they serve twice.
@@SshivamKhopkar He said that she rudely asked but did not say that it was rude to ask. It probably went along the lines of 'boarding pass?" or "show your boarding pass" instead of "would you mind showing your boarding pass, sir" or" Could you please show me your boarding pass?"
You seem to have a bruised ego

Sometimes that doesn't work out well for me lol. But I know the overhead bin dimensions and that's why I chose the bag I have on the flight!! Hey welcome to my home country! Glad to have you here. By the way for some reason Indigo has always been my last priority, even though at times they are little economical than Vistara and Air India
If they are more economical I understand. But if they’re not I don’t know what the rave is about. I mean, I rather have IFE and a complimentary service!
But ok, price is important for many.
Very happy whenever I visit your country!
I Love IndiGo🇮🇳❤
Your tech knowledge is incredible.
As a person, who flew on Indigo a lot of times on domestic routes, I can confirm that Indigo is the Ryanair of India (Indigo aims for smooth landing though).
Great video! Unfortunate to hear that you had a bad experience with the cabin crew, but it might also have been because the flight was very late in the night and the crew were likely very tired. On almost all my flights on IndiGo, I've had very cheerful crew who've even been generous enough to allow me into the cockpit a few times! Hope you have a better experience next time and try pre-booking a sandwich next time as IndiGo serves really good sandwiches.
Welcome to India🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Always so good to be here!
3:36 This is India Dude you can Barely find empty flights between Mumbai Bengaluru, Kolkata , Hyderabad Delhi
Even Tier 2 cities flight are geeting fully occupied now a days in midnight
The fkight I enjoyed the most in my life🎉👍☺️😎
Tomorrow I’m flying IndiGo’s new B777 so I think that will be even better!
Thanks for the video. Jet engines do not need time to warm up after start-up. In fact, EGT is at its highest just after start-up. However, time has to be given to other components run by the engines like the generators and hydraulic pumps to warm up. The oil in these components has to reach the optimum temperature and viscosity levels to operate effectively.
Totally true, and thanks for the thorough explanation, but I couldn’t fully fit it and I can’t use a lot of complicated explanations as there are kids/non native English people watching, so I word it easier.
Glad to have someone like you around to explain it fully!
You are welcome. I am currently watching your A380 experience from DXB to AMS. Entebbe was part of the content once again.
Hey layover my favourite indigo I really liked it ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The only reason Indigo survived cash crunches was because it never tried to be better...they know most of their passengers are going to be middle class, they dont care much about experience, only the ticket price.
Indeed true that most don’t care about the experience, just the price.
But that doesn’t mean they couldn’t heat up my biryani 😢
@@TheLayoverAviation If you really want to try the biryani, then the one served high up at 35000 ft, and stale from airline pantries may not be the right one. You should try it on the ground...you won't regret it.

which seat should I choose in the Indigo A320 neo to have a great view of the clouds and engine?
Hi, I'm really glad you've finally tried Indigo. Indigo is a really good airline, probably the best low-cost airline. They are expanding really fast, both their destinations as well as their fleet(they have 503 planes on order including 2 B777s! They already have 1 B777 that they are using for the Delhi-Istanbul route). This was a bad experience due to your attitude, as mentioned in the video and also because of the FA and/or crew. But Indigo isn't bad, you will love it if you fly it with a good mood and hopefully good crew(there is a very small chance that the crew will be bad), Indigo go is kind of like the much better version or Ryanair or EasyJet (this is true I guess).
And about the food, I guess they make it hot and give it if you ask them too(but I don't think they have microwaves or ovens onboard). I had travelled in Indigo some years back and I had gotten Cup Noodles which they pour hot water in to make it edible. I guess they could make hot Biryani too. Did you like the coffee? Maybe, you were the unlucky passenger who got cold biryani and other stuff? BTW, from the Mumbai airport food court, you can see planes landing on the 27/9 runway. I captured my plane landing on video along with the SQ A380 taxiing to the gate. If you are lucky, you can even see retired B747s of Air India.
For point of clarification, the bad attitude referenced was by that of the flight attendant, not the creator of this report. The Layover Aviation did nothing wrong and approached this Indigo flight with an open mind. In his experience, it wasn't a great flight. Sometimes that happens. Not every airline is perfect all the time and that's fine, but please, don't blame a non-existent bad attitude by The Layover Aviation as one of the causes of his less than stellar experience onboard Indigo. That is simply untrue. That blame falls squarely on one, or some, member(s) of the cabin crew.
If the airline is selling hot meals on board - they should NOT be served cold to the paying passenger.
I love indigoooooooooooooo 😂
Best plane in asia
I always thought IndiGo's domestic flights operated from T1 in Mumbai. I did not know they had domestic service from T2.
Both terminals! It depends on the flight number and destination, it’s quite confusing!
@@TheLayoverAviation Great! Thanks for letting me know!
Hi , I just wanted to ask that i have a fear of take off , how can you overcome it ? can you please tell me .
Which airport did you like better Mumbai or Bengaluru?
Indigo is cheap in price and in service as well
Nice video! Plane was a bit of a sardine can? Attitude can ruin any experience, but its midnight and was probably the end of a long day?
Quite the sardine can, but to be expected when you fly low cost.
Regarding the long day, yes, likely that was the case. But so it was for me and I didn’t pay it with them..
In India it's My fav wroast flight a whole flight sector
I can attest to random and rude behavior from Indigo staff, whether ground staff, at check-in or in the air. So your experience is not in isolation. They have grown fast, and better training would be desirable, especially at their Delhi/ Gurgaon base. Also, I think much is excused for the sake of 'efficiency' and profits. I try to stick to Air India and Vistara for domestic.
I think the crew members you met were rude that day, but, till date I didn’t have such experience while flying with Indigo. They provide me cheaper flights
Out of 4 flights on IndiGo I had rude crew 3 times 😔
But yes, if cheap flights matter this is the airline to go to.
