I take an empty travel cup and once through security, I fill it at the water fountain. Most airports have a fountain just for water bottles. Powdered drink mix sticks if you want flavor.
I flew Allegiant for the first and last time ever last week. They cancelled our return flight at the last minute and left us stranded at Sanford. The next flight out was in three days.
Don't worry about this. All airlines fly, smaller Lear jets from regional flights. There’s as safe as any other jet. The only time you need to worry is if you get on a plane it’s small and has propellers.
I will be flying Allegiant for the first time on 5/15 from Boston (my hometown) to Sarasota-Bradenton for vacation. It's a one-way flight. I'll be flying Southwest back to Boston on 5/20. I LOVE Southwest!
If you live near an airport where Allegient operates, go to the airport to buy tickets. Every airport will have different hours when you can purchase tickets. PIA is only Monday 9-11a. BMI is something like 45 minutes after each outbound flight. By purchasing in person we saved $176 for 4 roundtrip tickets vs online. Something about the fees they only charge online.
Here are my tips for flying Allegiant: - Tip number 1: Don't That's it. They are rarely on time, have way too many cancellations, and the seats are super uncomfortable. If you're young and spry, need something cheap, and can afford to gamble with the flight being delayed or cancelled, then it may be perfect for you.
My biggest gripe is that I seem to end up sitting next absolutely gigantic hippos and once next to even two hippo couples resulting in My being left with only half a seat. No other seats available as flights were full .
My hubby is flying Allegiant next month for the first time. He’s a big dude. 6’1 and 300lbs do you recommend the front row, or what seats would be best for a larger passenger?
@@Zachus awesome thank you! Unfortunately for this upcoming one front row is all gone and he needs a seatbelt extender. But thankful our trip got Christmas there are still front row seats available!
I'm 6' 330lb, stalky with a beer belly, sat in row 24 a (window seat) and sat just fine, I thought I needed a seat belt extender but their seat belts are long, I didn't need the extender and had about 5" left on the belt. He will be fine without exit row so save the money
the seats in the front of the plane have more legroom I thought? and I believe they offer priority boarding for like $11.50 a person. Great video though and 10/10 quality.
Cool video! Got a weekend Colorado trip in a couple weeks with Allegiant. Taking off from a pretty small airport. Only gonna bring my personal item bag and i paid more for the exit row/aisle seat because im 6' 3". Fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly! Were any of your Allegiant flights delayed?
Could I take a child’s small suitcase as a personal item?? We will be flying allegiant with our toddler and son and I would rather them carry their little suitcase than them carry their own backpack
Allegiant flies direct to the small-town where my son attends college. Neither he nor I have had any issues. All airlines nickel and dime you these days. The snack tip is helpful no matter the airline.
I'm flying with them on 4/14 to Tennessee and I am very nervous cause I am disabled and all alone. I can't walk very well so I hope I can get help with a wheelchair as promised
First time flier here! Going to Vegas but still unsure about what counts as a carryon and personal items, i want to take a backpack on the plane with me but I have a luggage that's around the same size as the backpack, will I have to pay for the luggage? Another thing is I want to my anxiety weighted stuff animal and completely confused if that counts as a Carry on or not on its own size ill be carrying it with me by arm than my backpack
Backpack is included no extra charge. Personal item. Carry on luggage and checked luggage you have to pay for. Cheaper to do on the app or online. In person will be more. The size of your stuffed animal will be what determines if it's allowed free. Most likely I would say you'll have no issues there as people travel with coats and pillows etc... Have an awesome time in Vegas!! I have some Vegas video tips at RUclips.com/zachustravel
Fly Allegiant at your own risk !!! I am currently stuck in Cedar Rapids because after a 5 hour wait Thursday at the airport, my flight was cancelled. They told everyone that we would receive an e-mail from Allegiant to let us know when the rescheduled flight would be (They didn't). So, the next morning, after 4 hours on hold, I was told the rescheduled flight would be 9 days later, even though they had available seating on a flight 2 days later. I will NEVER, EVER fly Allegiant again! I did some research and found that Allegiant is ranked next to last in customer satisfaction - Spirit Airlines was the worst.
I’ve never flown Allegiant so we’re traveling to Vegas family of 5 (with our 3 children ages 18-24) I was told to not purchase seats but we want to sit together, it will be my young adult children first time flying so do you recommend purchasing seats?
We prefer to take a carry on and select our seats which is why we did the bundle. They don't guarantee seats together if you don't pay for them and select then... but most of the time they will move you around to be together or people on the plane will adjust to help out but no guarantees. I've also seen parents split up. If you're trying to save money risk it. If it's longer than 2 hours might be more difficult to be split up. Hope this helps When we ran the numbers to buy carry on and seat selection it was cheaper to buy the bundle and get more. But I know flights are outrageous right now.
@@Zachus Thank you for your responses one other question have you ever bought tickets separately like purchase one way then do your return flight, we’re getting ridiculous prices for round trip, right now and my husband wants to just purchase but I’m all about saving if I can.
I have never had a worst experience in my life, had to take my elder mother to st Pete airport at 500 in the morning to fly to South dakota to my brother's funeral , they had some kind of malfunction and there was over an hour and half line which things happen so I ok but asked 6 times for a wheel chair for my 85yr old mother we made it to s dak had another 5hour drive to get home to make arrangements, on my return trip another 5hr drive in a blizzard , back 2 allegiant got to check in and never in my life have i ever met the most rudest person, we had 2take bavk some personal items so we knew it would cost, it was 10lbs over 250charge, I told me they only use allegiant credit c , I left my card w my son for funersl expenses , in short and he was a supervisor would not take the trans over the phone , had 2 drive 5hoirs back in a blizzard thru the black hills wait another 4 days to get another flight, who hires people like that booked another ticket and never got a refund for the 1st one😢
@@Zachus oh wow. Didn’t know that. I’m flying to Vegas next month and only two airlines that offer a direct flight are Spirit and Allegiant. I’ve only flown once in my life and that was about 8 years ago on American Airlines.

Awesome
I love allegianr been flying with them for years and never ever had s oroblem flying with them
buy snacks before you go to the airport. bring an EMPTY bottled water and refill it after security
How are you going to refill bottle water 💦 as I don't think there is a refill machine and definitely don't want to touch toxic city water ??

Yeah I've heard this happens. I have only flown them a few times and am always concerned about this.

Isle seat front row or exit. Exit row can't be used if using a seat belt extender just FYI. He'll be fine. Tight but fine 😉

Yep, but not much, exit rows have more. It's only because of the design and bulk head. But it is a little better.
This is extremely helpful. I’ve only flown popular airlines.
