I took the stock battery hold down and the clip it clips into completely off. That way, the battery lead comes straight back and the connector and the wires sit on top of the battery. Then, when you clip the center console in, that acts as the battery hold down and the hole in the middle is where the connected plugs sit.
I love the interior I have a similar interior I got it on ali express for like 30ish dollars. I did cut a few pieces but nothing is bolted easy in and out.. I did relocate the battery to under neath the front hood for weight and easier access also for rid if the traxxas battery mount just doesn't need it..

Good looking interior. Is it easy to remove the console to install the battery? It appears to have mounting points for rear seats, does it come with them? The paint/detailing is outstanding next level as always! I almost got the GRC blazer interior (for my RC4WD blazer), but instead I used the stock piece and got the Shrink RC door panels and dash lift. Looking forward to seeing the next installment!

You can put rear seats in. You can buy just a set of 2 seats off of eBay. The Defender version of this interior actually comes with all 4 seats.

I am going to pick up that body this week and I will try it out. If it fits we will make a video for it with what mods it took to make it fit.
