Financial advisors face significantly more stress than the average profession. Sometimes i feel like squeezing the crap out of a stress ball, and that's okay. Asides that, I'm completely comfortable paying someone for a job well done, and I've covered a lot more financial milestone using trade strategies from a financial broker and advisor in lesser time compared than I do on my own. ChatGPT is definitely going to be an important part of software engineering life in the coming years but so much care needs to be taken so that source code and confidential documents aren't fed into it. I've been using it in work and there's no question it has drastically sped up development, but it does make mistakes and you definitely need to know your code to spot flaws or making an algorithm perform better.
Excellent, impressive examples. I have used ChatGPT for some time to get help in coding with mixed results. It often returns results that look extremely good but then when you look at the code a bit more carefully, it turns out to be a fudge. It definitely knows how to lie expertly!
The most notable feature of this technology is its ability to efficiently process and condense large amounts of information. It would be fascinating to examine the correlation between the integration of technology in education and academic performance, specifically with regards to grades in schools at all levels. If technology is utilized primarily for writing assignments and conducting research, it stands to reason that grades would improve and graduation rates, particularly for higher level degrees, would increase. However, it raises the question of the significance of these degrees in a world where AI has the capability to outperform and outpace human abilities, as demonstrated by its success on professional exams such as the bar and medical exams.
To be fair most of the times it will give you answers and code similar to when you google it. But as you interact more with it, it really helps you to understand and point you to the right direction. It is still young with lots of data to process, but would be interesting to see when it matures.
Agreed. A single standalone question can be googled to find out the answers. But it's never that simple, we have follow-up questions like trying to understand how something works. This is where ChatGPT stands out and its best trait is, it "remembers" the questions you asked earlier in the conversation and drives you in the right direction.

I can of course continue later by asking for more notes, and it's great for practice. The human imagination is now free to create any course for anything we want to learn, and the learning can now go from the simple to the complex, at our request. Human intelligence has at least doubled, and I remember it was Ray Kurtzweil who said by the next decade (2030's) our intelligence will (or may...) be increased a million times. This technology is truly amazing! The potential here is almost beyond comprehension. Thanks for the tutorial Mosh and for your enthusiasm with this :)) and you are right, the technology is here to stay, so why not embrace it?
I like that when you ask ChatGPT, you ask it politely like "Can you write it in Tailwind CSS?" and not "write it now in Tailwind CSS" I often use "please" and "thanks" so in case AI not just take our job but also seize humanity in the future, they'll be lenient to me as I'm polite *hopefully*.
This is crazy. As a junior front-end web developer who is in the earlier stage of my career, I think this tool has huge implications for my ability to learn and code QUICKLY, but I also fear that more advanced iterations of this that openAI releases in the future will eventually start reducing the overall demand for software jobs by companies due to developers being able to be so much more productive.
I am in the same case , I am new into coding and I am really afraid that it would be harder in the near future to find a job in Web developer Do you have some ideas to share?
This is what I've been trying to see from google search for the last 20 years lmao. I can finally continue my same way to search things using ChatGPT, but now it will explain things to me as I wish hahaha
"Generalize the function XYZ()" works wonders in order to build more DRY. But I'm of the impression the more clear your instruction, the more detailed, the better the output from ChatGPT. So really spend a bit more time on that initial prompt you send to ChatGPT. If you do, you'll do less "oh you forgot this" to ChatGPT, which if you recall, will be fed into the conversation and train it to do probably problematic things as a result of your constant corrections....
You ask the question and ChatGPT provides the code. Soon maybe ChatGPT will be able to write a complete program just by reading the "Requirements". Developers like us can be jobless soon 😀 . Mosh, as very usual the video is very informative and direct to the point! Thank you!
Coding is to a large degree an art of writing down the requirements in a specific programming language. Code IS the requirements, in it's essence. It would be extremely troublesome to write it all down in a natural language most of the times - or you would have to be so precise and systematic, that it would be easier to just write the code. AI can produce a lot of things, but it can't read your mind and produce what you need by chance. Sure, it could be helpful, but the programmers are there to stay.
Not yet. But, sure, noone can say if the human level intelligence will not come withing this decade - then every one will lost job :-D For now, this does not understands what the code does. It is trained on very large data. It is good in generating snippets of codes that are quite general and repetetive. So treat it as better intellisense for now.
I don't see a choice but to embrace this as a good thing. Who wants to spend their life reinventing the wheelgorithm anyway? Onward! Thanks for this, very well presented.
To me chatGPT gives programmers the ability to learn several programming languages or technologies without worrying about memorizing every little syntax, or statement nor struggling with syntax mismatch between languages. Rather it gives us the ability to focus on understanding how a programming language can be used and it’s general syntax. Programmers can now focus on creating more complex projects while chat GPT provides the little code snippets needed during the process as well as a quick tool to refresh our memory on things we might have forgotten or things we don’t understand well. Every good programmer should be able to use, test and correct code snippets written by chat GPT as well as utilize them in larger complex projects.
As usual you explain everything perfectly. ChatGPT is absolutely incredible and a complete game changer it will put stack overflow and google search out of business
If anyone is wondering how to get it to make games for you.: Been using this to make a game for a few hours, I started off telling it to do things like make a loading screen, and connect it to start buttons. But once you get it to do this, you yourself need to know how to edit the code, because chat gbt will not edit properly. It will be able to make only about 1 to two steps of revision properly. It can not go in and revise a whole sheet of code properly. Unless your asking it to change something it just did. But if you do something like tell it to make a health bar, then later, you tell it to make a health bar that goes over that one. It will just make the new bar over the old one. So you will need to know how to connect code properly yourself. I will be making a game and creating videos to show how it progressed through out this week. But this is insanely useful. If you want chat to make an entire game, you need to completely define what information you need before hand. And make sure you only tell it about 3 to 5 things at once. Try not to go over 5 thing, or it will start messing up. Even lagging out, ot kicking you out of your sessions, and making you wait to get back in.

No matter how much you trust your own investing thesis, it still takes some ball to watch your portfolio tank even alongside the market and thats why the use of Financial advisor is still ideal
I will only have a big problem when someone giving me advice is not being transparent.

Just graduated from a coding bootcamp and found out about this like 2 days before it ended. Can't stop using it. There are so many technologies to use that coding really only requires a basic knowledge of code. Pair that with a deep fundamental understanding and you can create amazing projects in half the amount of time. Absolutely love this.

I created my own piano course (I actually am following a course on the Net) with ChatGPT's help. It created the first 8 bars for 'La Marseillaise', a very recognizable melody, for the right, then the left hand, then put it together. Hard to skeptical of Ray right now

"Generalize the function XYZ()" works wonders in order to build more DRY. But I'm of the impression the more clear your instruction, the more detailed, the better the output from ChatGPT. So really spend a bit more time on that initial prompt you send to ChatGPT.
Thanks Mosh, I was eagerly waiting for your video on chatgpt

Thanks Mosh your way of teaching is beautifully straightforward. I wish I had a teacher like you in high school I would have been a better student.
If anyone is wondering how to get it to make games for you.:
Been using this to make a game for a few hours, I started off telling it to do things like make a loading screen, and connect it to start buttons.
