Thank you so helpful. Yes I did it!!!
Now if i needed a AUX to some bare wires and have a RCA to AUX cable would i be able to chop the RCA side and wire in? Hopefully i can figure out the ground part of it too.
hello, can you please help me out? Ive tried to wire a chinch cable to an "aux in" pin on the mainboard of my sony hi fi. Ive hold the red and white chinch wire to the L and R pins on the mainboard but no sound comes out at all. First it worked! ive hold it on the L and R pins and the sound was flaweless. Then ive tried it again and now nothing......Did i shot the aux in on the mainboard? Or do i have to wire all the 4 cables of the chinch cable on a pin? Or are these cable isolated with a transparent layer and i have no contact? Thanks
Nice way to save money!
thanks, it worked!!
Helped alot, thanx!
pleasure mate
Thank you!
Is this the same principle when it comes to subwoofer Y cable? (3.5mm to rca cable)
You can use a piece,of heat sink tubing or the common butt connectors if this works for you too. What do you think.?
You are helpful
your a legend
by the way thanks man i needed one to connect my amplifier to my pc
741Mo0R_ G4M1NG yo I've got one I was just wondering how to make it are you connecting a car amp to your pc like I am going too?
T0pCore no not a car amp just a normal speaker amp these old ones
same :D
Nice I got a car amp hooked up to my pc :)
741Mo0R_ G4M1NG That's what I'm about to do too haha
hi, thanks for the video!
im trying this myself now, i just have a few questions:
1. why do you chop the ground of the AUX? shouldnt you just connect the ground to the ground (copper) of the RCA?
2. shouldnt you conect the right of the AUX to the right of the RCA (red to red)? and left to left (black to white)?
thx a lot again1
That is 100% correct. He combined both left and right to only 1 side of the stereo field and depending on the fact the stereo field is centered so he will hear most of the post production mix. The way music is mixed today it will sound bad because now they are layering vocals and sounds on top of one another, anything panned hard left or hard right will not be heard because he only connected it to one side, it breaks apart the layering done in post.
It is a very bad way to do this and glad someone pointed it out. Doing it the way you said will keep the left strictly on the left and the right strictly on the right and you will hear the mix as intended. I couldn't understand why someone would do it this way either. It will work for a song with everything completely on the center channel but that would be super rare because no one mixes like that.
Can you do this without having to use the femal aux jack?
is it possible to to splice and connect the rca wires connected from tv to amplifiers?
Thank you
Thank you 🙏
Glad i could help
signed in to thumbs up. just the vid i was looking for. cheers! I did have one question, I have a really cheap set of headphones, a set from a plane trip or something, will the sound quality be significantly worse than using more expensive headphones(sony) or like a pc aux?
not really mate, sound quality would depend on the quality of headphones, i haven't had any issues with mine, its sounds good in my car. you are transferring the signal through wire.
Hey i have 2 wire speaker and 1 boofer i want to convert into rca cables and aux please say how to do please 🙏🙏🙏
I have a aux cord with 4 colours. Red, green, blue and gold. And I want to attach it to a rca cable but it is only a red end, and inside it is gold wire than can be split in two. How do I connect the 4 coloured wires to the rca cable? Really need the help.
is that stereo compatible ??
Thanks
I have a aux rca I purchased and it's making a wild buzzing sound as soon as I plug it in.
Can we connect dvd player with this rca to aux cable
unmesh gaitonde yes mate u can
Is your car a mitsubishi by any chance?
We can connet to tv also
would that be mono?
worked :P
My 2009 lancer’s Bluetooth system stopped working, I found the six spot and it a damn RCA cable, this helps a lot!
hope you starts jamming in your lancer soon mate :)
What if there is no aux botton on the radio? How does the phone get recognized?
I need some help splicing certain wires and putting them together. All the steps I've done but when I took apart the aux, there were red, blue, green wires and not red, white, black. What do I do?
best thing to do would be plug in the cables in to your devices and then try touching them to each other 2 at a time. and see if you get any sound from the speakers. its hard to tell because sometimes cables used different color coding.
What if two are input?
My aux has red , blue, red and copper , and green .. how to I connect that ?
Can you use the end of headphones instead of aux cord
Well, the end od headphones IS actually AUX, so yes, yes you can
You made aux to rca cable
Is it right or wrong
Can it work rca to aux
Please reply
You made it mono. ???
JL Sagely you noticed most of these idiots didn't.
Is this still stereo with a left/right channel with all the wires together like that?
yeah mate, it still stereo's.
No. It isn’t.
Thats mono tho?
it's for a subwoofer.
You might get rumbling sound if you don’t ground
Hi Bro. Can you please tell me is this stereo or mono. Please,
Bro plszzzzz reply!!!!
easy
How to make 3.5mm jack to usb earphone
In my case I had to use the white wire because I had a yellow one and that one didn’t work.
yellow is for video
like number 984 👍
Thanks mate 😊
This method is only for mono audio FYI if you want stereo you must connect the positive wires for both channels to the corresponding one on the RCA wires. Good vid tho!
squidud i don't quite get it!
@@carlosbeltran4488 it means you only get the left channel not the right and left. It still works though, I'm just a huge nerd.
No no that's not what I meant, I don't get how to do it...
@@carlosbeltran4488 oh ok. so first, strip the wires on the headphone cable. You should get 2 or four cables (depending on your headphones). If you have two cables, do the following:
Strip the two wires inside headphone cable (if not already done)
Strip RCA Cable (you should see another rubber wire inside and some access copper wire around it)
Take the small rubber wire inside the RCA cable and strip it.
Connect it to the one of the headphone wires and solder or tape or whatever them together.
Take the acces copper wire around the small wire in the RCA cable and twist it up, to collect it all in one wire.
Connect it to the other headphone wire and solder/tape it together.
Done.
If the headphone cable had four cables do the following:
(you need two RCA cables for this one)
Strip the headphone cable revealing the four wires inside. There are two brightly colored wires. The cables should be separated into two "groups" of two (separated).
Take your first RCA cable and strip it, revealing the rubber-coated wire and the acces copper wire.
Take one pf the fore-mentioned cable groups in the headphone cable. Strip the rubber wire in the RCA cable.
Connect the brightly colored cable out of the two cables in your "cable group" and connect it to the wire you just stripped.
Take the access copper wire and connect it to the less-colored wire.
Grab another RCA cable and do the same thing for the last two wires.
Done
If any of this was confusing, let me know and I can make a more in-depth video and post the like here tomorrow. Just let me know.
Just tell me if you have any issues and ill make a vid tomorrow for you
They put the rca + video so you could hook up a gaming console or a DVD player or P-A cable to a external speaker
Its still silly that the gave preference to this over an Aux port.
Why didn’t we do stereo connection
Yeah
In my AUX there is Green yellow and red please help me sir
try yellow and red bud. if that doesn work then try red and green
What do I do if my aux cable has red blue green and copper
then you ll have to mix and match them, but if i had to take a wild guess then i think red and green would be ones to connect.
robinkhaira1 I did exactly that and got it the second try, thanks
where do you get a female 3.5mm jack? I have plenty of the male, but I need to make the RCA male to 3.5mm female adapter
I had brought it years ago from ebay. But its male side broke. So i used the female side from there
@@robinkhaira1 Ok thank you
but its mono now
Ur trick is work for mono speakers cause u use one side of the cable!! And that’s can’t be work on stereo
in my aux have yellow white red what I can do
game brain go buy one from the store
just play with them... i had a red one, white one and copper, turns out the red one was ground! white was powerful one. I combined copper with copper, and white with the mixed ones.
white is the same as black
It's not stereo, connecting both L R acr to a single wire in aux makes it mono. Tried and only get right channel
That's what I was thinking would happen! Thanks for pointing this out and I'm surprised no one else has mentioned this yet..
The three wires in my aux are blue green and red. Is it safe to assume the red is ground or how do I know what the colors mean? I've never seen them colored before
hmm these wires can be different in different cables, i would say green would be be ground, you ll have to try the combinations, get near a speaker and turn everything on and touch wires to see which one works for you.
lol a 2013 car with rca what car is that
yeah, i know man, its just as stupid as it sounds, i don't know why would they put rca in my car, anyway i am glad i could help you.
really u helped a lot cuz i couldnt find an rca to aux cable any where and i dont have an online credit card so i couldnt buy it
741Mo0R_ G4M1NG you don't need an online credit card. You can use visa, MasterCard and even a lot more. The only way you can't pay is with money.
I love that you say female wire connector?😑🤣
@0:55 he combined left and right channels so there will be no stereo separation... people who don't know better will try this and think it worked. what a shame
@@kay94 yes. you just have to match TIP and RING of the aux with the left and right of the RCA. (I don't remember which is left/right, but you can look it up). then you have to tie the SLEEVE to ground on the RCA. if you mix the channels up accidentally, you can simply swap the RCA plugs in the car
Didn't work for me :(
have you tried switching wirs around bud? and make sure you cable isn't damaged
robinkhaira1 Yes, my cable is probably damaged. Guess I'll jist have to suck it up and buy one from Walmart for $5 LOL thanks for the video though!
ahhh. bad luck bud. have a good one :)
This not stereo, it's mono. So wrong.
This is NOT how to wire this if you want to hear Left and Right audio, i.e. "STEREO"... see here -> cdn.head-fi.org/a/4905642.png
It is aux to RCA, LOL
This dude made it mono *facepalm*
Bakar ha ye video mujhe samaj me nahi ayaaa yar hindi me ya punjabi me bola nahi gaya ke
well may be you should learn English then, rather than complaining about it. don't know what your problem is here. you should have paid attention in school.
Hahahaha it's a 2013 Car it's almost stupid why they put that on
