You should recreate this video with the title "how to convert any lat pulldown to a chest fly machine for 12$" and you'd get tons of hits and broaden your audience to more than just fitness Reality cage prospectors and owners and instead all home gym audiences ! I'm a growth marketer and would love to give you more tips if you want! Not trying to sound pompous tho, hope you like my suggestion
Whoa! That's a way better title! Man I'm a humble dude! I'll take any help I can get. Thank you I appreciate this one and would be open to any suggestions.
You saved some of us a couple of hundreds. Kudos to you!
Man I had been thinking about that setup for almost two months but I'm in Chicago and the weather turned on me right as I was about to try to test it out. It got warm yesterday and I went straight out to try it. 15 bucks!!! I'm glad you liked it and thanks for watching. I really appreciate you taking the time.

@@Johann_ Thanks for the support man! I appreciate you! 💪🏾
Macgyver strikes again. Your creativity is super helpful.
🤣 Thanks a lot! I'm really feeling this one! I'm so glad it worked. 🤗
stretching with the last one
I'm not sure what you mean.
This is pure Genius.
😁 Thank you! I love this one! I have an upgrade coming!
you should try the chain pull that you have here for seated rows. I think the original low pully is way too low for rows
What! Man I tackled that for us in another video. Check this out and let me know what you think?

That's 🔥🔥🔥! I was looking for away to do this then, I remembered seeing you create it! Thanks for the tutorial!
Thanks T! That's a really good quick option but I'm experimenting with a new even better version that one of my subscriber's sent. It's going to be a month or so but it's coming!
"Hmm looks good, but I wonder if he can do both hands"
@9:05 BAM
LOL, I was referring to the fact that without the modification I could only do a single arm fly before I made my adjustment but I was now able to do both arms with this little set up that I cooked up. Thanks for taking a peek at the video I appreciate you taking the time out to do so. Love and Peace!
Yo that is dope.
Thanks Man! I have a new version too! ruclips.net/video/mVomHFhwdwc/видео.html
Just saw your video and it's definitely not garbage waiting to see what leg workouts can be done with this pulley system on the rack. Because I've got one, thanks you got a sub from me.
Thanks for watching and the sub! I really appreciate it! I've got a row video coming and some leg workouts too! I've got you! 🤗
Great mod! Love it!
🔥🔥🔥
Thanks Kram!
Your the man... great ideas
I'm trying! Trying to make a dent in this RUclips platform everyday :-) Thanks for watching. I appreciate it!
Very cool. Great idea
Thanks as you probably saw I'm amped about it! Thanks for watching too!
Pretty creative! You could also do oblique twists
You know what. I should do a video where I show several exercises. I'm glad you mentioned that. Thanks bro!
Is it possible to connect up and down together (no anchor) so that both of them pull weight? I'm waiting for my rack to arrive :D
Nope it won't work that way because one of them has to be held in place for the other to release. But you can anchor it from the bottom if you need to do a different pull.
Good idea. Did you try hooking each end of the chain to both the top and bottom pulley at the same time. Im. Thinking you will get a more even pull...
Lol. That's exactly what I did and because of the way the pulley works out doesn't allow you to pull it at all. 🤦🏾
This is bad ass bro!!! Ima cop this !! Make sure you wrap the cage up like a baby after lol
Thanks for checking this out and at least one of my other ones obviously! 🤣🤣🤣 I appreciate the support and yeah cop you one! You won't regret it!
Love it! New subscriber too..
I'm glad you liked it Joe! Thanks for the sub too!
This is incredible. I bought the same setup as you pre COVID so I can work out at home and now I still don't go to the gym. Can you tell me what handles you have? Thanks for the pro tips on this and the back row!!
Thanks Denise! I appreciate you checking out my content. I'm all about building on a budget so I just use the handles from my Bands. Two birds with one stone. 🤣
amzn.to/3beh5Ct
I’m curious if this would work for face pulls at eye or chest level, cable external rotations, and other exercises that are between the top lat pulley and bottom row pulley.
It does. I can do everyone of those exercises with this diy. You just change the height of the hook.
@@UsawaFitness shiiii, thanks for letting me know! I got a wall mounted pulley but this is a great DIY solution to get more bang for your buck. I got the 810XLT because of your videos. Take care!
@@ChrisBranleh Thanks man I'm glad you found some of my stuff helpful. I have a much bigger DIY coming this spring that I think you all are going to REALLY love. That one is good and it's ultra cheap at $12 to $20 bucks but my new one is unreal.
like what you did.trying to get one of these in Canada.the price hear is normally doubled
Keep looking man! I had a guy from Canada hit me in the comments a few months ago and he found one in store for $199! It's a great rack though man. I hope you find one at the right price. Thanks for watching!
What kind of rope are you using? I tried using resistance bands and they weren't strong enough
It's just a nylon piece that came with one of my other pieces of gear but you could get a piece of pulldown replacement cable and pull this off.
What if you don't anchor it and just have the chain attached to the top and the bottom pulley at the same time?
I think I tried that and it won't pull at all but let me double check that tomorrow. It's raining so I've got the cage wrapped up but I'll definitely check it and hit you back.
@@UsawaFitness thanks, i just found your channel and like your videos, i have the same cage and will probably get the lat pulldown attachment soon
@@christofear Thanks man! I'm glad you found the channel and I hope you like the content. Make sure you subscribed because I do a lot of stuff on that cage. 🤗
What kind of rope is attached to the handles?
Hey Jamal, I'm just using a piece of cloth rope here but another short piece of chain would be another cheap option that's easy to connect. Thanks for checking out the video man.
@@UsawaFitness no thank you. You're the I got the "Power Cage" 🎶 I love your energy! Just wish I was closer to get some that awesome training. Keep grinding my brother and see you at the top 👏🏾
@@mrwilliams_78 Thank you man! I appreciate that feedback and encouragement. My honest dream is to be able to build this channel up to where I can travel to viewers and do live stream along with everything I've been doing so one day we'll get that workout in man! Email me at my Usawa Fitness email that's on my home page so I can add you to my email list. I've been making notes of people who say what you said because I'm really going to do this one day man. 🙏🏾
Macgyver lmao
I was amped at that moment Dankah! I couldn't believe it worked! 🤣 I use it all the time though! 💪🏾
🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🙏💪👍👍👍👍🏅
Thank you
Just picked up the same rack..coming in the mail soon.. Appreciate the ideas!! Keep 'em coming!!
I'll be sure to do that! Thanks for watching Brandon! You're gonna love that rack man! I might be a little obsessed with that thing! But I can think of worse things to be addicted too.🤣 Let me know what you think once you get it.
Very cool trick with the chain links. Just need a mullet wig to complete the MacGyver experience.
Lol! Man that mullet wig would have really topped things is had that not been in the moment but I'm definitely going to find one for my next DIY! 🤣🤣🤣
Definitely not HOT garbage. Nice video Vern
Thanks man! I cooked the idea up in my head and was just hoping it would work and it did! 🤗 Thanks for watching!
I am glad I stumbled across this channel. Great videos.
Thanks for the kind words! I'm giving this everything I've got because I love it!
Where you get them handles at Usawa? I just got the lat pull down attachment and this idea of yours gonna help with the gains!
It's dope right? It works to Red! Wait till you try it. I got the handles from the kit in my Resistance Band review. I put a link in there but you can use any handle. Let me know what you think about it when you set it up or if you have any questions. Thanks for the support too! I appreciate you taking time out to watch one of my videos.
Great video! Just what I needed.
Thank you!
Another excellent video. We’ve been slowly building up home gym here based on these videos! 🙌 thanks again
Thanks Johann! I'm going to be ramping up the production a lot starting in April when it warms up so please stay tuned. 😁
Wow this is brilliant!
Thank you 😁
Beautiful!! Adding this to make cage as well.
I use that little setup almost everyday. So easy and cheap :)
its so cool u have these awesome ideas for the cage love it!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man these ideas come from to much idle time on my hands. 🤣 But this was my favorite modification to the cage!
Thanks for the Great DIY setup. I know you said to use a Rope but are are you using a regular rope or a fitness type of rope that stretches ?
It's just a regular little piece of rope. You could also use a piece of coated wire or even more chain but that rope is going to touch your arm when you close the fly so I found the rope to be comfortable. Thanks for watching I hope that answers your question.
that's a great idea keep videos coming
Thank you. It really works! 😊
Great video man. I’m looking for a cheap barbell with weights. Any recommendations?
Hey what's up Noah! Man Barbells are expensive! Honestly I usually try to grab mine off of Craigslist or Offer Up. You'd be surprised how often you can find good Olympic Barbells there for cheap. If not you can always go with the CAP Barbell Classic 7-Foot Olympic Bar from Amazon. It's a descent bar from everything I've heard but I've never owned one.
So I was dealing with the same situation not long ago. Just moved and finally getting serious about getting in shape/set up garage gym around the cage. I bought a cap beast bar for around $170 on amazon and couldn't find weights anywhere (or if I found them they were absurdly costly). I bought concrete molds from caveman and started making my own. Not sure how much weight you'll need/want but I just bought the Fitness Gear 300lb set with bar from Dick's Sporting Goods that's actually decent for amount of plates and comes with bar (my Cap is way better but it's not bad as a starter/for lighter exercises). May still be hard to find but they've been restocking and if interested if you keep checking with local stores I'd bet you could snag one. My local store just had a restock and had like 20 sets in.
@@steveneyler1240 True making some is an option too! I know a few people who did that at the beginning of the pandemic.
@Steven Eyler If you can hold off for just a little bit there is going to be an explosion of gym equipment hitting the resale shops and apps really soon. So many people cleaned out the manufacturers at the beginning of the pandemic but most people don't have it in them to workout at home. I'm already seeing it on Offer Up.
Dicks sporting goods sells a 300lbs weight set with olympic barbell for $250. I believe. Thats where i got my weights. I gave the bar to my sister though and bought an ohio power bar from rogue.
I know this video is around 2 years old, but man, This made my day. I just recently got this cage and lat pull down attachment, and was trying to think of ways to do flys. This is a game changer, and much cheaper than FR's new solution. Thank you good sir, and I just subscribed because of this one video.
Thanks Spank! It's a nice little solution and I'm glad you found it helpful. Here's another solution for you too! ruclips.net/video/mVomHFhwdwc/видео.html
Well, i'm implementing this today on my rack too! Thank you, that was the last exercise that i needed to complete my cable workout!
