@@jerichoeagle830 hi the potato is raw, fresh like the rice, gives a really nice starchy water with lots of carbohydrates and works beautiful for the process. I have got amazing results using this method.
ill try! KNF nutrients should help restore/balance your soil health and should be used with other KNF solutions, ive always wondered how plants would react. Ill keeo you posted when I finish making one just need some time to grow!
Just a note - I've had no luck using containers and sprayers that had previously been used with colloidal silver. I'm still trying to flush them out but not having any luck so far. I have one new sprayer in a 1 liter pop bottle that's fine but the other two bottles just turned the LABS into water. And, I'm assuming, silver contaminated water. I'm going to try to flush them - one with ascorbic acid and one with citric acid - see if I can recover them via chelation. Also ,dropper bottles - the pressure will force the liquid up the tube and into the bulb. Can make a mess if you don't burp them and squeeze the serum out of the tubes every few days.
If I am not mistaken, colloidal silver is used to kill bacteria. Since this process is intended to support bacterial growth (LAB) there is probably a compatibility issue from the residue in the bottle. If I am correct (and you should research that), that would indicate how powerful the effects of the colloidal silver. Perhaps congratulations are in order even though you did not achieve your intended results.
Did you mean at the end of the video, and thank you for making this, that in order to "preserve" the LAB, you would add "equal parts of brown sugar?" Mahalo
If you can't or aren't going to keep it refrigerated, then yes. The whitish green stuff is basically the same substance as the dark brown stuff except the sugar saturated concentrate can be stored in a dark place at room temperature. The whitish green stuff would need to be refrigerated. Sugar saturation and refrigeration both slow the feeding and growth of L. Bacillus to a minimum, extending its shelf "life" approximately the same amount, depending on your climate.
@@hootiebubbabuddhabelly If am going to keep it in fridge without adding suger How do I use it? Is it in this way ready to use of the fridge directly? Or each time I want to use some of it I must keep some out of fridge to activate it?
The non-sugar-saturated from the fridge is, I believe, the stuff you would mix 1:1000. Which would be 1 drop per 50 ml. 1 ml is 20 drops. So 1 drop per 50 ml or 1 ml per liter and so on. But don't just take my word for it. Mix up a little 1 drop/50 ml batch in a small jar or Ziploc bag, feed it a pinch or two of sugar or some milk, seal it up and put it in a warm place where you can see it and open and smell it everyday - see what happens. See how long it takes to wake up. If you want it active when you spray it, make a larger amount, feed it and put it in a warm place until it starts developing. Might take a day, might take 2 or 3 days to wake up, depending on temperature, strength and whether it's drowsy, merely snoozing or full-on dormant. It's such amazing stuff but people are just doing what they're told to do with it and it works but nobody seems to know much about it. Play with it. See what happens. Just keep in mind how acidic it is at stronger dilutions or experiment on plants that won't represent a loss if they die. Explore. Share what you discover.
Thanks for the Video my friend. What ph reading is your lab? I can only get 5.5 and lab should be between 2 and 3. I just wondered if other people are experiencing the same. Many thanks
For the rice wash, let it sit at room temperature in a mason jar with a breathable lid for 3-5 days or until your rice wash changes smell, should smell sort of like sake.
I've tried using spoiled milk. After a week it's foul smelling and didn't really have clear curdling. I'm suspecting that the lactic acid bacteria was outcompeted and extinguished by the more prevalent bacteria that were present in the spoiled milk. So no good.
Sup braddah I used to live Maui I miss it every day brah! I see your mask and can tell you one Hawaiian 🌺. I see dairygold I miss it all man! Lol idk why but the mask makes me think you work at whalers, an airport or hotel lol but that is all too common in Hawaii eh! Mulch love bruh trying to learn making labs for my cannabis plants😊
Make sure!! you add equal parts of Brown Sugar or Blackstrap Molasses or else it will activate the LAB and you will have a disaster of a mess to clean up, it is ok if you use a bit more over, as long as its completely saturated with sugar
@@Userunknown0208 Depends on how much LAB you're making, as long as it's equal parts brown sugar to LAB you will be good, a visual observation of total saturation is when the sugar no longer dissolves in the LAB solution, the LAB after its saturated will be a syrup consistency, if you're worried about under measuring your sugar, it's always better to add more sugar, you just never want to be under weight because it can become extremely active
I've tried it and it works similarly with my rice wash serum. You'll probably get a different strain of lactic acid bacteria. I'm not a scientist so I don't really know if they have a similar effect on a micro level but I used both in my bokashi compost with very similar results.
You the first guy I watch who say how much rice and water to use.Mahalo
Did you hear him say it dosnt matter?
I like to use rice and potato together to make my lactobacillus the combo works great to make the Lactobacillus.
COOL! I was thinking of trying Rice and Kalo for a more place based batch!
Is the potato cooked or raw when added?

after mixing with sugar can you leave it out of the fridge for a year?

can you make before and after results of 2 plants side by side one sprayed with lab and other with normal water ?

Does your rice wash smell kind of like yogurt before you mix it with milk?
My LAB has a pink tinge to it - any idea what this means?
I made some EM1 but on the cheese part there was a layer of mold is that bad
hey bro thanks for the info it really helps our research group more successful
Curious, can you use spoiled milk for this? I have some organic that turned, would hate to waste it ...
Just dump it in compost pile...I compost everything...spoiled meat(is high in nitrogen)...cover it in cardboard or other carbon base
@sprock I wonder what happens if a person did use spoiled milk with the fermented rice wash.

The chickens were VERY happy 😂
My peppers are going in bloom but I can see some dark spots on the leaves , the same on my tomatoes can I use this as they're flowering ?
You can use them as they are flowering but be careful because too much LAB will lower the sweetness in your fruits if applied at the flowering stage.

I believe it is called Lactobacillus!

what ratio of rice wash to milk did you use and also how long did you let your rice wash sit for.
