Some free bonus tips: -The whole process can be made a lot faster by doing both rounds of fermentation at room temperature, instead of at cooler temps. Be warned, however, that at room temperature, it'll go past its prime faster, too, so you need to keep a much closer watch on it. -Another use for the curd is to eat it, yourself. It's basically cottage cheese, so it's perfectly fit for human consumption. If you don't like plain cottage cheese, you can mix it into a dip, or use it as you would store-bought stuff in a dish. -The liquid he collects in the end can also be used in the kitchen! The very same bacteria he's collecting for garden uses, also happens to be the exact bacteria cheese makers use, so if you want to make your own cultured cheeses at home, you can save some of this liquid instead of having to buy culture powder from the store!
Wow that is interesting information….do you think that it could ferment soy beans to make bacillus subtilis to make natto? Maybe just using the fermented rice water on the steamed soy beans?
Omg...I can't believe you don't eat the curd! It makes wonderful cream cheese. Add chives and a bit of salt and pepper. Lab is actually natural rennet for cheese making.
Magandang araw po. Yung po LAB na ginawa nyo po kpg namumulaklak na po ba o may bunga na yung naitanim na halaman? O pwedeng gamitin po sa bagong tanim? Maraming Salamat po sa pagtugon.
How does this compare to aerated worm tea which also uses molassess as a food base for the microorganisms? I use worm tea as an all round utility fluid in the garden, good for plants, as a recirc fluid for worm farms, accelerating compost decay, odor control for chicken coop. Great video.
Facultative anaerobes can grow with or without oxygen because they can metabolise energy aerobically or anaerobically. They gather mostly at the top because aerobic respiration generates more ATP than either fermentation or anaerobic respiration. ... Unlike obligate anaerobes however, they are not poisoned by oxygen.
i know im asking randomly but does anybody know a tool to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost my login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me.
@Cohen Tadeo Thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I have a couple questions, excellent presentation by the way. Why is it necessary to add brown sugar or molasses? And couldn’t you eat the curd yourself if you wanted to? Thank you for the video and I look forward to your response.
This is how to make NPK fertilizer we don't need to lose on our forex in the name of sourcing fertilizer from Russia or anywhere else from the world we have all we need as a country we don't need to go about begging, thank you.
I also use organic fertilizer LAB,JADAM andBOKASHI composting. Ive seen from the inventor of jadam that using molasses or sugar make the soil acidic, have you come across with this problem kabayan?
Important note: Start giving the jar of fermented rice water a little sniff, periodically, after the first day or two! You only want to let it ferment long enough that the scent becomes sweet. If you leave it fermenting long enough that the scent changes again, becoming sour, then you've ruined the batch and will have to start all over from scratch.
Ive been storing the rice water for over 3 months and its always ready available to make the lab, instead of waiting for the 7 days. I squirt a few drops of the ready made lab into the rice water before adding the fresh milk so its a win win.
If you only have chlorinated water available to you, there are two ways to prepare it for this purpose. ONE: bring the water to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Be sure to cool it before trying to culture any bacteria. It is now ready. TWO: allow the water to sit for 24 hours at room temperature in a clean vessel, lightly covered with paper towel or cloth (to keep out any dirt or insects). After the 24 hours, the chlorine will have dissipated, and the water is ready to use for bacterial culture. I ferment a lot of vegetables for my family table, and this works well for that also.
On the one side its for preservation (if you want to store it in the fridge you should saturate it with brown sugar until it turns almost black and no brown sugar can be absorbed). On the other side molasses and brown sugar serve as nutritiants to both the bacteria and the plants.
So costly to produce in my country Nigeria. That milk alone, then molasses equal quantity. How much are they gonna buy each bird. Great video anyway. Keep up the good work sir
This is a wonderful, clear presentation thank you fromSOUTH AFRICA . Looking forward for new advices. First presenter who does not waste time Thank you

To lessen the input cost.. just use rice wash and 5 bottles of yakult with molasses or a brown sugar.
What is the ratio if we use brown sugar
Yes More probiotic diversity with the wild capture
🤷

What to do with the remaining rice water wash
Nice. Watching from India. Which variety rice is best to use it.
Any❤️
I have a couple questions, excellent presentation by the way.
Why is it necessary to add brown sugar or molasses?
And couldn’t you eat the curd yourself if you wanted to?
Thank you for the video and I look forward to your response.
mollases will be the food of bacteria..and to keep it alive😁
Yes, you can, in fact, eat the curd, yourself. It's essentially cottage cheese, so use it the same as you would store-bought cottage cheese.
@@DaZebraffe Probably better than cottage cheese because it hasn’t been pasteurized.
Molasses is superior to brown sugar it has calcium, vit b6 etc perfect for bacterial growth
What is the shelf life of the LAB serum? If i dont use everything at once...

I have a few questions. can this be used for human consumption as a probiotic supplement for digestion?
yes
Yes. I eat the cream cheese too. I can't believe he doesn't do this.
Is this lactic acid bacteria inoculation can help to make oil in agarwood tree ...
Thanks for sharing sir. Is it normal na may amoy ang fermented rice wash after 7 days? thank you
i noticed that there was no added water if using brown sugar - is that the final recipe?

Can one use the water from making farmers cheese to do it?
Tnx
Yes, it’s excellent stuff - and one of the easiest ways of collecting the stuff 👍 Would suggest mixing it with jaggery for best results.
How can we use to make bread
How often do you use it for plant?
Wonderful thank-you.
Hi,can I store the cloudy fermented rice water from the 1st ferment, how long will it last and where to store it?thankyou
Why would you want to? Rice is readily available and if you eat it, you will wash it anyway. After adding milk, I have heard it gets better with age.
Ive been storing the rice water for over 3 months and its always ready available to make the lab, instead of waiting for the 7 days. I squirt a few drops of the ready made lab into the rice water before adding the fresh milk so its a win win.
Is the ratio 10:1 (milk:lab) or 3:1?
Thank but I can't find un chlorinated water do I use filtering water
