2015 was a tribute to the victims of the terror attack in Paris a few months before. The song is so emotional... She is unknown in France but delivered that day a beautiful performance

It's SO hard for me, I like so much literally every song all the way from 2013 to 2019, so different genres, great messages (even Moustache has it, so sad the lyrics are in French and we can't understand a great idea behind!)... Ok, I'll probably support Mercy, it was really captivating despite I'm not so into ballads.

For many years , France TV sent to Eurovision's competitions songs without any chances to win ( 2000 to 2010) because France didn't want to organize the competition the year after . Indeed the organisation is very expansive.

Amir and Madam Monsieur would be my selections here but the French delegations let down both these entries with minimal staging. It was such a pity. If they gave these 2 acts half the effort they put into Lise Angell's and "Requiem" they would have achieved much better results. For that reason, i chose "Mercy" as the best French entry but also the biggest missed opportunity for success.

2022 still listening ECHO eurovision 2012 song in my car 😅😅😅, I like the instrument composition in this song very dynamic and catchy....

The classic Eurovision was so beautiful.
I am French and I can tell you that the vast majority of French people are not at all interested in Eurovision.
Every year, people do not know which song is for France and never know the winning song and even the winning country .... (except maybe accidentally and in spite of themselves ...)
Musically, this contest has become ridiculous for a long time .... ^^
(I can confirm, Eurovision is not famous in France, French people know the show exist but french people (in majority) are not interested)

In 1974, the president of the french republic died the same week of the contest. So the french delegation has decided to not participated anymore at the Esc.

My favorite were : Amina 1991, madame, monsieur, 2018 . Marie Myriam 1977, Sébastien Tellier 2008. 1990 was a serge gainsourg s song. Like the song " poupée de cire, poupée de son" sang by France gall for... Luxembourg 🇱🇺 😔 don't you know " sea, sexe and sun", initials B. B, " comment te dire adieu"... Etc...?

After 1989... France tried all styles as possible : ridiculous, celtic, opéra, French music, world music, emotional songs, creole, ethnic, funnies ones and bad ones... It's dramaticall for France when we lost 😭😭😭 or when France sings in English 😂 in 2020,france bought its song to a Swedish song writer! French people was angry about that, it was so ridiculous. 😂

My favorite song is Mon Alliée (The Best in Me) by Tom leeb, the folk version was better than the Swedish / John Lundvik P.B T.G.S version but I really like both versions. France tv and Tom Leeb wanted to make a big show in Rotterdam with a "special guitar" with a light projector that emits the feelings of tom leeb. With different stages. I think it would have been the best staging in France for a long time, we could have been between 13th and 5th place.
So many winning songs were performed in French: including other French-speaking countries. An important language in Europe. France robbed of a win in 1991. Rest in peace Freda Boccara - winner from 1969. 1984: Translate the lyrics into English and you have a great song. 1996: Performed in Breton - minority language in France.
