Yes, that was not right. She had a real presence whether she was young or old. She wasn't utilized the way she should have been and it would have been a better soap opera had they understood what she had that the others didnt.
Sadly, the actress had numerous health probs and insurance companies and producers didn’t want to deal with it. That’s why Jessie was recast for awhile in the 1970’s.
I use to watch this when I was little with my mom..lol then of course I got hooked and watched it through the 70s 80s and so on with my bff till a couple yrs ago. I've try watching it lately and I just can't get into it.😒 I don't like the actors playing Nicholas and Spencer. Man they make those characters so whimpy. Then they have actors from OLTL and AMC and I started watching those when they came on, and watch them till they ended, so seeing the actors on there playing different characters I can't wrap my head around. So I guess the era is gone and just have to watch reruns here and live in what was GH.
Poor Jessie! So many memories of the 7th floor nurse's station watching with my mom in the 60s and 70s.
Love the old nurses' station and all the dialog that used to go on there. Jessie and Lucille at that station are etched into my mind from those years
its amazing how Jesse was a major part of the show for many years and then.... and afterthought with few and far between cameos.

This is what true daytime drama is!
OMDays! I absolutely LOVE Jessie! X
Wish I had seen the Phil Brewer Jesse years. I missed that. Too young😢
I'm 75 and remember those days of Jesse and Phil
Jessi is so silkily malevolent. She should be in the CIA 😂
Lovely presence she always had
We used to watch this all the time.
Sodidp
In v
We used to watch Jessie in the 1960s. Roy Thinnes was the star of The Invaders- alien beings from a dying planet.
My mom loved Jesse
Jessie, Jessie, Jessie !!! I don’t like Phil making you feel insecure 😞.
She’s been on GH from 1963 to way past 2015!!!!
Not Jessie. Emily McLaughlin passed away in 1991.
@@MsTexas73 Maybe they are thinking of Audrey.
Emily was so beautiful
Roy Thinnes was in the show The Invaders alien beings from a dying planet.
Loved Jessie
Roy Thinnes was Phil? That is not the Phil I remember.
He was the original Phil
@@marcelparker6755 I guess Roy had left by the time I started watching... in 1968, I think.
@@IVant2BAlone He left in '65.
The red-head actor, Martin West, portrayed Phil Brewer from 1967 thru 1975). Phil was making Jessie's and Diana (Maynard) Taylor's lives miserable.
Jessie sure aged quickly. In 3 years she looked really different.

When did David Vincent work in a hospital? This life must have been before The Invaders landed.
Jessie always looks so depressed
