But for countries that’s are very poor in South American and with no access to world class facilities,world class youth development and world class coaches speaks volumes to how good South American teams are cus last time I checked Brazil has 5 world cups, Argentina has 3 now and Uruguay Has 2. For a continent that only sends 4 teams to the World Cup compared to Europes 14 I would say South America is miles ahead of Europe.

      @@johncapo2843 As a Latino, I would say it also favours South-American Ballerz to play in European Leagues, that way, they get to upgrade their game, know more about various European style of play and their players 'cause they play with them on weekly basis, they get to earn fat millions that that breaks down to between hundred/s of thousands on top currency per week, something South-American Club can't offer, which means better living conditions for Ballerz and their families and sometimes communities. They don't just flock European Leagues for nothing, and besides, the game is way developed in Europe and structured well in most cases for sponsors and TV broadcasting deals. Meanwhile in South-America, the corruption and disorganisation is extreme, Ballerz and Referees and their families get beaten up on weekly basis and I can go on with the list, but in all fairness, I understand your point and the South-American leagues and those who runs it have to do way much better if they intend to stop the exodus of South-American Ballerz to Europe. As for now, the Ballerz have no choice but to hustle for that high bag 💰💷 in European Leagues to make things much easier for them and their families.

    The statistics don't lie. In all the history of the World Cup from 1930 until this year, South America sent 89 teams to compete. We have 10 cups. On the other hand, Europe sent (in the same period) 255 teams to play, and they have 12 cups. So, South America has a percentage of over 11% world cups won for the total of teams. Europe's number is less than 5%. Now Mbappè has two options: first shut up and learn. Second: France.

    The other two points that Ale could have made is that South American teams have fewer World Cup places to fight over, and the fact that even the lowliest South American team is far more aggressive, far rougher, far more relentless, yet also more skilful than most European teams. Brazil, Argentina, and any other team that makes it through to South America's 5 qualification spots have earned their places with blood, sweat and tears to a degree that European teams could not even imagine.

    People seem to forget that it’s easier for a European country to win the World Cup because they have 13 or 14 teams at the World Cup compare to 4 or 5 from South America!

    • @avikellerman4539
      @avikellerman4539 10 месяцев назад

      Maybe ask yourself why Europe gets more teams than other confederations, "smart guy". It's because they have the most amount of good teams that are of worthy of WC standard. It's the same reason Africa doesn't get more teams in the WC than South America even though Africa has more countries. They are both given 5 even though South America has less teams, so why the favoritism to South America? Because they have more good teams than Africa! Simple as that.
      Not only that, but it's not like all 13 or 14 teams from Europe are actual contenders for the Cup. There are never more than 4-8 TRUE contenders. 2 from South America and the rest are the European big teams. Let's be honest there are very few nations capable of winning the WC. Look up the previous winners list. It's very short and it's always the same nations competing.
      South America - Brazil and Argentina (and very very very long time ago Uruguay when the tournament was still in it's infancy and teams participated by invite only with no actual qualifiers)
      Europe - Italy, Germany, France, England, Spain and MAYBE Netherlands (who have never actually won but made 3 finals)
      This is the full list of actual WC contenders. Teams that have actually won. Soo in reality it's even worse than "5 teams from South America and 14 from Europe". It's actually 2 teams from South America and 5-6 from Europe that have a realistic shot of winning it.
      Put simply...It doesn't matter how many teams come from a confederation, it matters how many TRUE contenders. Let's be real, Scotland, Greece or Serbia aren't going to win a World Cup for Europe the same way Peru or Ecuador aren't going to win one for South America. Only the actual contenders matter. And the reality of the sport is that Europe produces majority of these true contenders.
      I will say 1 more thing....The fact that South America has less nations has actually benefitted Argentina and Brazil. For 2 reasons. #1 they are pretty much guaranteed qualification for the WC. 5 out of the 13 or so teams in Conmebol qualify! That is roughly 40% of the teams! This would pretty much mean Brazil and Argentina would have to finish bottom half of the Conmebol table, which will never happen. Even in down years when they finish 3rd or 4th instead of 1st or 2nd they STILL qualify. Matter of fact Brazil finished 5th for 2002 WC qualifiers and just barely made it into the tournament, and then ended up winning the whole thing. While UEFA groups are smaller and maybe don't have as many good teams per group (because there are many smaller groups instead of just one giant one) I would argue it's harder to qualify out of UEFA because there is less room for error. You have to win the group to qualify, or finish runner up. And even when you finish runner up it might still not be good enough! This why every single WC and EURO Cup there is at least 1 big team from Europe that doesn't qualify for the tournament. Italy and Netherlands are recent examples. This NEVER happens in Conmebol because as I said Argentina and Brazil can finish 3rd, 4th or even 5th and STILL qualify. There's more room for error in Conmebol! And the 2nd reason is that because there are less nations in South America, teams like Brazil and Argentina have much bigger talent pools than they would have if their was more countries. Brazil has a population of over 200 million people! This is much larger than the population of France, England, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, etc. Imagine if Brazil was broken up into 3 or 4 smaller nations. Then their players would be scattered across these smaller nations and they wouldn't have 200 million people to choose from.
      At the end of the day both sets of fans should show respect to each other. Both Europe and South America have produced the best players and the only WC winning nations. I know there's a competitive rivalry, but respect has to be shown to both sides for what they've brought to the game. Nobody in these continents has it "easy". Both have to overcome lots of obstacles and tough qualifying campaigns just in different ways.

    Moreno also forgot to mention the fact that, aside from the all those environmental factors, etc, which are difficult enough, all the south American teams play a very rough game typically , making it very difficult to compete in many cases. Something most European teams don't have, that "bad blood" mentality. Especially when it's Argentina or Brazil as visitors. This is also a perfect example of how some or most Cr7 fans would claim/claim that Messi has an easier qualifying campaign compared to Ronaldo, just to reduce his merits based on a total fallacy. Well, there it is, the reality, to all those that would argue such nonsense, just like this clown Mabappe.

Which as you can see in this video coming from the unanimous discussion, and I agree completely, that is a complete misconception and fallacy. Aslo, I really don't feel Cr7 has been playing with a rubbish team these last few years. I'm a US fan (to denote my bias).
    To me, there's no question that the most difficult qualifying is from CONMEBOL AND CAF. CONMEBOL has the brutal table where you have to travel long distances to play in an array of harsh conditions with intimidating stadiums. Also, the quality of competition is much deeper than what the average UEFA team will face. CAF doesn't have the depth of competition but has equally harsh conditions, pitches and atmospheres and has a very unforgiving system where only the group winners advance to get drawn against another group winner for the honor to qualify.
    UEFA is a challenge, but it is forgiving. also

    • @marcelobarros5729
      @marcelobarros5729 Год назад +19

      CONMEBOL has tough conditions but 40%-50% of teams qualify, There is margin of error. UEFA groups are mostly easy, but not a lot of room for error. Sometimes you get an Italy and Spain in the same group ... and then if you add a mid-level team on a good cycle (Turkey for example), then there is very little room for errors. CAF is the most unforgiving qualifiers. Competitiveness is not the greatest, but conditions and number of spots given the size of the playing field makes it very tough.

    • @wiseonwords

      @Felix Santos - I don't think you can even mention CONMEBOL and CAF in the same sentence, to be honest. Though you do have a point about some harsh geographical conditions faced by teams in CAF. But CONMEBOL is on a much higher level than CAF. In CONMEBOL, you have teams which have a much longer history of rivalries, are much fiercer, and much, much more skilful than the teams in CAF.

This makes Qualifying many times harder and winning much less likely.

      @@manuelaparcedo417 Yes of course. It's just that before 98 the USA and Canada didn't have a team so things were different. But if you ask someone at random outside of America where is Mexico located, they will probably answer south(or latine) America. This is why a gave it a special mention. And this is in itself a problem, to be honest if Canada & the USA qualified through CONMEBOL or any other group for that matter, they would never get through with their level. But since they face smaller nations and islands it increases their chances. What I am trying to say with these comments is that in general the qualifying system is biased. Colombia, Uruguay, Peru, Ecuador, Chile, Paraguay have all had their good periods since 2000, and has always been tough teams to beat. Venezuela has also become better, even though they were better a couple of years ago than today.

    I still maintain my initial position about three years back that Mbappe is not the kind of talent around which you structure a team. He just doesn't have the dribbling skills and passing vision to make his teammates play better. He can have a run of form for a season or two, but he has become predictable and tend to thrive most when he has acres of space to run into. Without space, he becomes ineffective and is reduced to the status of an average player.
    It would be tactically foolish to structure a team around a player who doesn't have the werewithals to conduct the play and resolve tactical issues confronting the team on the field.

      he is talking about the quality of the Euro clubs FOOLS. watch the EPL on any weekend, you can count world class players on each team, some teams have up to 5 players
      on each team. The South American players weaken South American soccer by leaving their countries to play in Europe. it will be equitable if the Euro players went to play in south
      America but they are not. stronger competition builds stronger players Its like helping a friend build up his house to with stand storms while your home sits unattended
      south American players are spending all their resources making European countries better playing for Euro clubs

    Yah he just made an enemy out of a whole continent when he didn’t need to 😂. This narrative, although his opinion, has been expressed for decades from Europeans (not saying he thinks he is) that think of themselves as superior to South Americans. Whether it be through sports or other conflicts (remember when someone threw a banana at Dani Alves?). So this was not a take to have. And if it was, this wasn’t the way to say it lol. Man is digging his own grave.

      No it's actually the other way around. Biased South Americans feel they are superior, that's why they get triggered like Ale does when someone says the facts. Europe is literally winning the last 4 World Cups and South Americans can't brag about winning the actual World Cup so they start moving the goal posts and start talking about "qualifiers" and how much tougher they are in South America. If South American teams and CONMEBOL is so tough how come they always get pummeled at the World Cup and Club World Cup? Maybe the South Americans are just envious and poor sports and can't give credit where it's due because of their anti-European biases. They're entitled and get triggered by someone stating facts which the results back up.

      @@perrybarbe7789 yah that I’m saying. Dani was playing in a European game at the time and Brazilian players have expressed how European crowds would call them monkeys. It goes back to when Europeans thought of South Americans as less than because of their connection to Spanish and Portuguese conquests in South America.

    Pitch conditions are also a factor I presume. Hard and uneven grounds - more risk of injuries if you are used to the best pitch conditions in Europe for your club team.

    Emi Martinez is absolutely right to mock the spoiled talent like Mbappe for his comments about South American football.Mbappe should play for Ghana instead of playing African mixed team France.The Greatest players of altime like De stefano,Pele,Maradona, Ronaldo Nazario& the Ultimate Lio Messi all of them are produced by South America. Europe may have luxury to play footlball but altime greats r always from South America...
