Jacob - we had the pleasure of taking all 16 of our grandkiddos to the City Museum last summer as the opening to our biennial total family vacation. What a beautiful time was had by all!!! If we were to go there every 2 years, or even more, really don't reckon that anyone of us would be disappointed. As you explained, the place is constantly evolving. Our children and their spouses also reverted to their childhood again. Even being 66, in a wheelchair, i had a great time, just watching all of them have a great time! The creators and artists that have the genius to build this always moving, never staying dull world are truly wizards!
Jacob, you are an absolute joy! I love your willingness to try anything. Your enthusiasm is inspiring. All of your visits to the City Museum are pure gold. Thanks for bringing us along. ☺️
My kid's high school has their homecoming at city museum every year. They always have so much fun. They'd rather climb around than dance.... in a nice dress and heels. Lol
Meow wolf went to city museum during is conception, took a tour and then built off from some of that inspiration or so I was told as they walked through
Oh-my-god.. That has got to be the coolest place I have ever seen. Dear God.. thank you Jacob for taking us with you. I absolutely love your channel, and I wish you and Jen all the best.
Not to be a fuddy duddy but this place is what my nightmares are made of. I literally have nightmares of crawling through tight spaces and this place is the real manifestation of that. 😬
I feel the same. It reminds me of being in an MRI machine , trapped in the neck cage after they inserted the IV SOLUTION OF DYE.and I had an allergic reaction to the dye and they couldn't get me out fast enough for me to do it safely ! So going into this would set off that horrific memory which could have ended with me dead ...its a definite NOPE for this scarey cat chick..and I am super tiny. 5ft 3 and 90 pounds .. they would have to send in paramedics to save me.. I hope this video doesn't bother me when I try to sleep tonight. Lmbo... incites major fear into me. A 5 - 10 ft slide is overboard for me
🎉Im 2 hrs away from you and we love the City Museum. When I taught we took one of our graduation class trips here and my family (cousins and their kids) have gone to the sleep over night at the museum a few times and just talked about wanting to take some of the newer kids who were too young before❤ We've wanted to do the adult nights with the roof access but havent been able to get that sorted- one day🤞
Wow Jacob quite the video on this museum I would have a full blown panic attack in those tunnels. You did awsome I have never seen a place like this. Great video ❤❤
What an interesting place . That 5 story slide was so cool as was the mirror tunnel. A museum within a museum what a concept. City Museum needs a new name ;it doesnt do it justice. Love the different sections especially the art gallery. What a great place . Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
I found the perfect way to watch you! I let the video play all the way through including ads while I do other things, then I sit down to watch and I can skip the ads! Yay!
Proud of you being able to climb all thru those items. I am the size of a average teenager at 59 yrs old but I couldn't do all those tube climb thrus thanks to claustrophobia....would scare me more than the actual haunted house
Wow ,what a place never knew it existed ,thank you Jacob. Thank you for doing all of it. Impressive. Art museum was way cool. You powered threw it. Thank you.
Yeah, I lived in St. L from 1995 to 2006 and I experienced the City Museum while they were still laying the mosaic tiles. Little by little they built Monstro City outdoors. For a while the St. Louis Aquarium was located within...they had a sea turtle, a two-headed snake and massive pacu fish that would beg for food pellets from visitors. Does anyone remember the snowflake lady? I wonder if she still works in the hands-on art department. Oh, and there used to be a Tibetan restaurant nearby that was really good. Sigh...I loved St. Louis. (Now that I think about it again, maybe it was Nepalese. Either way, I hope it's still there.)
The person who design this museum is such a genius. Will put this place in my bucket list 🙂💓. Thank you Jacob for making such a great content will appreciate all of your effort ☺
Jacob, you love animals. Maybe visit Grant's Farm, Purina Farms, the St. Louis Zoo (they have an amazing carousel), and the World Bird Sanctuary while you are in St. L? (Oh, wait; I just Googled Purina Farms. They don't open until mid-April. But maybe someday?)
Wow i will have to plan another visit. Went back in 2011 and it was amazing. So much has been added it will be like a new adventure. Thank you for sharing.
This has been by far one of my favorite videos you have done of city museum being that. I am from Springfield Missouri. Just a thought. Maybe if you grease yourself, you would fit in the nooks. And crannies in there. Maybe ii you used Clark Griswolds Cloric kitchen polish Think of christmas vacation You might slide down those slides a little bit quicker.
Thank you for battering your body for our entertainment. Lol I'm glad you always seem to have a good time whenever you go. I hope to come here one day too. : )
Jacob thank you for being so brave and doing this video I love the fact you go above and beyond to entertain us I could never do what you do but thank you ❤️🥰 Caz from the UK
Dude this place looks incredible! Almost like meow wolf but different. I can not wait to go here with my little sister and my daughter! Really digging the content from st Louis man! Hope you're enjoying yourself and hope Jen is doing well also. Keep it up bro!
Well technically Jacob there was specific species of fish don't have teeth so they wouldn't technically eat your flesh. But what they are doing is removing the dead skin off your body. It's a great therapy for people who have eczema really bad because it helps exfoliate that dead skin. But they technically cannot actually take chunks out of you because they don't have the proper teeth to do that.
Love the CITY MUSEUM but always buy (or bring) knee pads. As an adult, you will want them. Younger kids will be fine, but regular people need cushioning for the knees!
Now my question is at the end of the day when they get ready to close this place down and shut down for the night. How thoroughly do they check that place. Because all those nooks and crannies somebody could hide in there. And you'd never find them. They could hide and move in the process in between people searching to see if there's anybody still there
I wonder how often the Fire Dept. is call to rescue someone Stuck in one of those tunnels, crevasses, or other Tight Spots ?? lol Looks like I'll add another place to go on my Bucket List !! Yeah !! That place looks better than Any amusement park. How long would you estimate it would take an average person ( with No knowledge of this place ) to go thru everything in that location ? Enjoy yourself Carpet Bagger !! :~)
It's fantastic to see adults turning loose and really playing. This is a spectacular museum.
Agreed 👍

Jacob struggling to crawl through to a slide while ‘Welcome to the Black Parade’ by My Chemical Romance played in the background was oddly poetic.
What a unique museum. We are definitely going their! Jacob, you give my husband and I many great ideas of oddly different places to go! Thank you!

This place feels like the Meow Wolf before Meow Wolf. I would love to visit someday!
An employee told me that the Meow Wolf creators toured the City Museum while they were in development of their first location

Best kids museum in the US no doubt. It's if Willy Wonka designed it himself. So fun for both kids and skinny enough adults.
i find it amazingly awesome that it looked like there were no kids

"it's getting dark in this crab!!" Plus lots of other golden Jacob-isms, and I'm not even through half of this video yet! Jacob, you are the best!

That looks absolutely Crazy.
Perfect place 4 a Kid...
You going down the slides with Welcome To The Black Parade playing in the background was great.
Jacob and Jenn are going to be AWESOME grandparents.

EVERYONE needs to experience the 10 story slide
I helped polish that slide, rode /scooted down it for an entire day on canvas bags along with the other staff many years ago
Very fun and unique museum. I would love it!😅such an amazing place to spend a Saturday.

As a STL native, I love the STL City Museum! One of the greatest attractions around!
i love how you went during their emo night lol, looked like so much fun. havent been in a long time
Hi Jacob from Michigan ‼️🙋🏽
There's so much in this place that would just trigger my clausterphobia.
The art with the layers of glass at 33 minutes is by Dustin Yellin who did a sculpture for Jacob Collier's latest album cover "Djesse vol 4".
I have that Orange Bird shirt! Ahhh, I love this museummmm

Amazing museum Jake! It's the same place that Jake almost went out the window after that circle thing back years ago. 🤣🤣
My claustrophobia and fear of heights... I think I would have a heart attack there 😅
I would love to go there! I'm not too claustrophobic, but I'd have a problem with all the noise. Looks like a lot of fun otherwise.
Cool video

My favorite place , in my home town,,
Another fun time 😊
There's a place I went to in Columbus Ohio. It's called the Other world. It was a interesting place.
Good Morning " YA ALL " Jacob
I forgot the architect was murdered so sad he was very talented rip in that big tunnel in the sky 🤍
Love the CITY MUSEUM but always buy (or bring) knee pads. As an adult, you will want them. Younger kids will be fine, but regular people need cushioning for the knees!
I visited the Buckeye Express Diner in Ohio specifically because you came to me live from it. Cool little place
I just had many panic attacks 😂😂
This reminds me of meow Wolf I'm Denver so cool
Hi Jacob the carpetbagger I like your channel and vlogs so keep up the good work 😊👍💩
I ate steak and lobster tonight in honor of you my friend !
You need a "I survived the city museum" shirt after all that. Lol
If your ever in the South Georgia area you have a welcome
It like a optical illusion when you’re inside the city museum - 🤔How do you even find your way to the entrance?

Am I the only one that was getting anxiety due to the darkness and the camera angles. I’m not even claustrophobic and I almost had a panic attack!😅
I almost had a panic attack filming this

A Jacob you can take gorilla glue and put it on the part of your crock that you tore and you can put it back together and be just fine.
They should sell Knee pads at the City Museum
Nevermind! Guess they do!
Urban spelunker. You will never die in the hole eh?
Oh man, I’m too claustrophobic to even watch the video, looks cool but only made it through to the 8:15 mark.
Chutes and ladders IRL
Andy was never seen again
This was pretty fascinating but coming from someone who had a panic attack in an MRI, I think I’ll pass. Loved the video though.
