?? SHORTEST TAKEOFF EVER At Madeira Airport ?? Flight Design CTSW 16.03.2020
For sure is the shortest takeoff I watched in Madeira Airport, but not sure if its the shortest ever, but was really nice to watch the small propeller plane taking off using no more than 60 meters of runway, of course with the help of 23knots headwind. After 1 minute in the air, the plane was still flying over the airport, then headed to the Canary Island.
The Aircraft is a Flight Design CTSW, registration EC-EU7

Normal takeoff distance for a CTSW at solo weights. They perform very well! Mine is usually off before the displaced threshold line at my home airport....about 400ft.

Those engines are pretty much a larger version than the V2500
You think that is short? You should see the Valdez STOL comp videos, this takeoff was about 550-600 feet which makes sense because that is one of the smallest planes to operate here, this is not an abnormally short takeoff for this type of airplane though

É os que fazem STOL, são mesmo feitos para descolagens e aterragens muito curtas :)

No way is it the shortest take off - youve got to be aiming for 5 feet or less.
This is a standard plane, not made for STOL contests. And like mention in the title, in Madeira, not worldwide.

Ao que parece tinha aterrado naquele dia de manhã vindo de Fuerteventura. Como já estava em prática a quarentena geral na Madeira, o mais provável é o piloto ter tomado o pequeno almoço no aeroporto e arrancado de volta para as canárias 🥶🥶🥶
