@@arishana1106 Personally I don't think Kaila hated Eric in any way tho it was more of a one-sided grudge from Eric that the show never explained why. Kaila never acted in S1 that she was particularly annoying nor immature either.
Kaila did once ask Eric to cook dessert , his weak spot, after winning a mystery box challenge but that was it. Eric later in return brutally asked Kaila to cook Cow Brain when she was still considered an underdog while Marida, Tamara were both much juicer, obviously dangerous targets then. Eric also argued a lot with Kaila in Team Challenges despite each time it was obvious that Eric was in a headless state and that Kaila was right.

I hated her so much, I was so happy when she went home. She literally smiles when she receives bad critiques from the judges. And she constantly rolls her eyes when other people are doing better than her. Also honestly she couldn’t really cook that well she was kinda basic. The only tiny ounce of respect that I had for her is when she admitted she didn’t deserve any credit during the challenge.

I don't know why people are so triggered with the use of scissors on the dim sum. I'm Chinese and I go to an authentic Chinese dim sum place where every employee is Chinese and speaks it, and they have zero problems with using scissors to cut some of the dim sum. Heck, they have it on the cart, ready for action.

tbh the employees speaking chinese does not make it authentic, idk why you would think that lmao. Having it on a cart is traditional hong kong yum cha style, they go around with the carts, and people would call the servers over and give them the dim sum. Using scissors would be okay for some of the dim sum, but using it on shao mai? really? anyone's more cultured than that smh
You use scissors for specific things, eg the long ones like the rice rolls
@@apoptotic9878 True. But I think they wanted to check if the shumai was fully cooked by looking at the inside. Contestants in the past on this show have sometimes very unfortunately served raw meat to the judges. They probably do it in this case to just check.
In an actual restaurant, customers shouldn't be checking if their food is fully cooked lol

T M Kayla definitely grew a lot this season. She definitely had some unpleasants in the beginning but her and Eric’s rivalry this season was enjoyable to watch

Don't believe everything you see on a reality show. The Judges' comments and her expressions may not be happening simultaneously.
They often edit these things in post-production to manipulate your opinions towards a particular person. I know this from first hand experience.

A lot of things I noticed how I could tell the judges didn’t like Julie lol. Didn’t ask her to come up and say good bye they just said best of luck. Their final compliments were really generic while everyone else had something personalized like saying a specific family member would be proud. And lastly they didn’t even ask her who she thought would win 😭😭
I wish those videos showed more of the cooking part. That's what I love about this show. Knowing the ingredients and trying to make it at home.

Dim Sum is an art in Chinese Food. Restaurant has a team specialized in making Dim Sum. Its usually take 5 years to master the skills. Ha gao is a special pastry with shrimp in it but Chinese pastry is very different from Western. Not only we do not use wheat flour, the way of making is very different. Anyway, those contestants can make something lookalike is a great achievement. No one can "copy" such an art in an hour.
Dim sum is one of my favorites since my family and I usually go once or twice a year. THE SHRIMP DUMPLINGS ARE AN ESSENTIAL TO DIM SUM!
I love how the Canadian, And also the Australian judges are actually constructive unlike the American ones
