  • My mouse cursor turned into this huge square. It went to normal after logging in and all seems fine otherwise; I just thought it was weird.
Windows 10 Pro 1511, 10586 with the December Patch Tuesday updates applied. System is an i7 3770K on Z77 with a GTX 960 for video.

I see the same exact thing. This happened immediately after upgrading to Windows 10.
If you click the mouse on that "welcome" screen (or whatever you want to call it), the login screen appears. If you put the cursor in the password box, the cursor returns to its correct appearance. I have been actively looking for a solution for this ever since I upgraded to Windows 10, and that was the day it was first released.

I think I noticed this same glitch just today whenever i'd boot up my computer from being on sleep mode.

    This happens on AMD too.

Just now I logged and my cursor was a kind of QR code, I moved it down to the taskbar and it went normal.

+Mr Pingu Log in. It should fix it as soon as the user profile loads. If not, restart your PC. Make sure that updates are installed for Windows and your graphics processor driver.

+Andrew Kwiecinski Yes, logging in does work but it does just look ugly. Already on newest graphic driver, but we are both on nVidea, I have an quadro card tho.
