Very nice! I'm working on a 9001 as time allows. I updated my QX-949A by rebuilding the power supply and adjusting bias/offset. I'm also working on a customers 5000. Just a refresher and update followed by a full face-off cleaning/cabinet treatment. I appreciate your time, info, and descriptive details!
Yes, though you can also use KSC1845 in any gain rank so long as you stick with the same rank for all replacements because this circuit does not require super high gain. In any case, note the pinout of your replacement, you may have to insert the replacement in a different orientation.
The inner chassis was cleaned with a brush, compressed gas duster and in some areas, a microfiber cloth. The front panel and knobs were soaked in Meguiar's Aluminum Wheel Cleaner and brushed with a soft bristle brush under hot water and then towel dried.
Thank you. The video link is exactly what I'm was in the process of doing . Recapping an entire Sanusi au5500 and changing all the small transistors and power transistors .
I have a QRX-6001, that I want to rebuild the toner board like you did. May I know what kind of film capacitor to use for those low value cap? Do you have a link to those film capacitors. Thanks.
hi Andrew- just got a Sansui 7001 and when messing with a light i managed to blow them all out. i traced this back to a fuse. when i replaced the fuse i stupidly did it while it was plugged and in doing so i dropped the wrench and it hit something which caused a short. now the tuner meters arent responding but the fuses look intact. any thoughts on what shorted out? thanks
no, after i turn it on it clicks once after 3 seconds. nothing look burnt. i was wondering if it could be the relay? maybe i fried it? thanks so much for the help.

I enjoyed watching this. Well done, Andrew!
Can you us NTE199 in place of the 2sc1313 transistor?

Does the tuner work at all?

Hi, how did you get it so clean?
