- Today we've got a lovely pair of De Niro riding boots in for a full leather sole repair with a twist. We're using premium JR leather but adding some fun with a custom colour finish and some brass Triumph toe plates. Keep a keen eye out for a special guest appearance bringing us some rock and roll to 2021! Enjoy the video, Dan.

I took a pair of shoes into my local cobblers and I joined the army a few days later. When I got demobbed 12 years later, I found the receipt from the shop. I went back and was surprised to find the shop still there. I went in and asked the cobbler if my shoes were still there. I knew it was a bit of a long shot, but after looking at my receipt and rooting around in the back of the shop, the man came out and said “ here they are”. “ Great,” I replied. “Yes “ said the cobbler, “ they will be ready next Thursday”
Cripes. As a cobbler, I never tire of hearing that one. :D

As a machinist and gunsmith I love watching other master craftsman doing things I can’t do. Amazing work sir.
There's something relaxing about watching him repairing shoes and he's so good at this. Our local cobbler struggles with heel reoairs lol.

You made those boots better than they were in the first place! I can only imagine what they paid for them originally. Having seen the construction, I'm sure they were ridiculously over priced! I'm glad you put the waterproofing on the stitching and sole. Every time I see Blake stitched footware, I think of wet socks 🧦!!

Love watching shoes and boots being repaired, we live in a throw away world, most young folk just throw old footwear out. I always love smell of cobbler shops and watching all machines. Music was good too.😃

More that it's in human nature to create, fix and work with their hands. Especially for people who sit in front of a PC all day, it's something almost exotic to watch this. I don't mean to generalize though, it's my opinion.

I never thought I was missing this kind of content in my life till I found this channel. My god are you a craftsman. Beautiful work.
You should get a prong punch for prepping the hole for the brass tacks, it's used in leather working to make sure holes are spaced out evenly for hand sewing. Makes it a lot easier to have a "perfect" finish by putting the first prong in the last hole you punched, the second prong will punch the next hole at exactly the right distance.
