Thank you for posting this, so glad I found it, I wanted to go last year to Seattle so bad, on my 53rd bday but just couldn't afford to go 😢 would have loved to gone and take my big sis... Debbie Thomas listening to Elton is one of my youngest memories as a child, 3 or 4 years old, 1973-74?
It is unfortunate that ticket prices in the US have risen so much. It is ridiculous that it is cheaper to fly to Sweden from the US. stay in a hotel and watch Swift/Beyonce here in Stockholm than it is to buy a ticket in your own home town.
they say they are retiring and wont tour anymore but they never do. give him a few more years and he will be on the road again. playing in front of a live audience is like taking a powerful drug it is hard to duplicate that high you get by playing live. i can name a half dozen bands that were going to retire only to tour a few years later. so if you missed seeing him you will probably get another chance
Also though, you do want to see them live while they still "have it". Elton was belting out his songs and the piano playing was amazing, but if he goes on tour 5 years down the line at age 81? But you are right mrguitar - there are many artists who tour long after their last "farewell" show. I really hope the swedish band Kent does this.
I think you may be misinformed Sara. Under the copyright section of this particular video RUclips has stated that "Copyright-protected content found. The owner allows the content to be used on RUclips." That means that the RUclips algorithm has found material belong to Sir Elton John, his record label, or his management company; whoever "owns" the songs. The owner can then decide if they want the video blocked (which some do) or as in this case, they will allow RUclips to show the video on my account but they claim all the revenue from it, which is the case in all my videos. So all income from this video goes to the copyright owner - hardly what most people would call stealing. Furthermore it is not forbidden to film at all venues or for all events. Each venue has its own rules and then each artist can apply their own rules on top of that. I have actually only once been at a gig where the artist just asked the public to not film the concert, so of course I didn't.
I was there. Great moment!

Or not... Like Tina Turner, she actually retired for good when she said so. And died 14 years later. So you never really know.

Wrong date, this is from the 7:th... ;-)
thank you Yoda - I put up the video on the 8th, was tired, post concert beers - I guess you can work out the rest :-)
@alanvaytsman hard to imagine Sat was his last show ever ever.
Was it Friday 7th or Saturday the 8th?
Thank you for sharing. I’m a half world away, but able to watch a part of his final show.
@@alsea1968 it was Friday the 7th. His last show was on Saturday the 8th.
Last show
Good bye
...yellow brick road.
He was pretty emotional on that last song.
that is like stealing as it is forbidden to record concerts and then post them. nah
I think you may be misinformed Sara.
