That takes incredible strength to do that. You try it! I've delivered three eulogies to fallen family members including both my mum and dad. It's one of the toughest things you can do and it's so hard to keep it together but it's an honour like no other. Elton's performance here was not just a performance he was close friends with Diana so it's an ode. That takes towering guts to do that and not falter and in front of the whole world. Upon her appearance she was walking fastly toward her car with security, while I was rushing to take that photo as my flash was recharging between photos so I screamed to her when she passed in front of me "Can I take a photo your highness? " she smiled and posed looking at me while taking slow steps away from me with security until I took my shot and said thank you. she's a great person that will never repeat. .

My mom, aunt, and their friends all loved Diana, eventhough they are american they still felt as if she was their princess. Her funeral was held the same day of my aunt's wedding shower. Such was the reach of this wonderful princess that we, a Pathan family,living in the remote corner of Pakistan, was in mourning and every member, young and adult was tearful. And I still remember watching the funeral, though I wasn't able to comprehend the lyrics of this song then. Our whole family was sitting in front of the TV, greif-stricken, shocked, apalled. She WAS a great woman indeed. She genuinely treated everyone as equals and with love, the homeless, the very sick, the hungry children. She hugged dying sick people even though doctors at the time thought more diseases were contagious and also touching is against royal protocol, but she gave hugs anyways.
