Where would the AIDS situation be without the billions this man has raised? Thanks for your humanity, your music, the help and support you have given to well known stars of music and the big screen who had lost their way, your encouragement to new talent and for paying your UK taxes - unlike certain others who leg it abroad first chance their accountants can find a cheaper place to live.

PLEASE, PLEASE everyone do not forget at the heart of Eltons music is the lyrical genius of Bernie (Dirt Cowboy) Taupin... the reason Elton's music touches so many hearts and souls is not solely the music, we relate to the meaning, the message, the words just as much. Elton will appear on stage before the year is out.

I have been a lifelong Elton fan. Saw him live several times in the early 1980s, and about 4 years ago took my daughters to see him live in Omaha. I wanted my girls to hear this amazing artist live, for the last time. It's amazing he lasted this long, he probably would have died in the 1980s had he not gotten off of drugs. God bless you Elton John for sharing your amazing music with us all

No sound or voice has influenced my life more or for as long (all 50 years) as Elton John. His voice, his music his sound has been the soundtrack of my life. No one's music has ever affected me more. Perhaps because he's my earliest musical influence. Hearing his old songs especially resonates me back to age 8, 9 and 10 (now 60). His early music especially was channeled through him from somewhere afar out if place and time. If course he wouldn't be who he became without Taupin. His band and Nigel too. Good Night Elton and God Bless. Btw, you bind me and my big sister together through thick and thin.

Thank you very much Mr. Elton John, for so much joy and emotion, the first time I heard it was in 1973, I was 10 years old, here in Brazil at a great friend's house, I believe he was the only one who had a stereo record player, at that time moment, his energy captivated me and since then I have been able to attend 4 of his shows here in Brazil, an example of a professional and a human being. thanks and long life.

I was lucky enough to see this brilliant artist perform on July 5th, 1982, on a blistering hot day at the Gateway Arch in St. Louis for the VP Fair. I never realised back then as a 20 yr old how lucky and grateful I'd feel over 40 yrs later to have seen Elton play live. What a musician. What a career.

The ending made me emotional. watching Elton John walk down the Yellow Brick Road for the last time and fading away. It's like watching the end of an era and a part of my life saying goodbye. and it also makes me feel old and makes me reflect on my own life. I can remember being in my youth and hearing Bennie and the Jets for the first time. and thought it was such a cool and amazing song. and Elton was young and on top of the world, but now I am watching him retire, and other rock stars I grew up with passing away and have gone down their own yellow brick road. or highway to hell. or stairway to heaven. or maybe they just all checked into the Hotel California. I don't know, but they all added something to my life growing up. goodbye Elton. enjoy the next chapter of your life with your family.

At 9:12 Elton dressed as Donald Duck dances while a very young and skinny Tim Renwick plays his sunburst Les Paul at Central Park...this man is just musical history...The Live Aid footage...wow!!! Thank you Sir Elton John for all your beautiful songs & your awesome showmanship. We will all miss your performances but, you certainly deserve your retirement & life with your husband & sons. May God bless 🙌 you as you continue down that beautiful Yellow Brick Road 🥰😘❤️ We'll always love you & everything you proudly stand for.
I cried like a baby at the end of this video, knowing it was his last show...ever 😭 Absolutely beautiful ending.
