Ahh, now THIS is the Kawasaki Rose I remember. Used to have this thing memorized, but it's not exactly the easiest thing to keep in one's brain unless you keep making them. Every written tutorial I could find didn't feel right and definitely couldn't explain anything well. One watch of this, and it all came flooding back. Thank you.
Thank you! I agree completely - after making dozens and dozens of these (some in my sleep!), after time passes I completely forget the routine. I need the video too!
I have to tell you that as pathetic as it may sound, it has taken me SIX YEARS of frustration before I finally made my first Kawasaki rose. I can't thank you enough for this video. Today I sat down for probably the fiftieth time and decided on a whim to try this yet again. I succeeded.
i did it! Your video is excellent and I did the pre-creasing from Kevin Hines. Thank you so much! I feel like I could do it again and perhaps a bit faster next time!
I do not know how to thank you enough. I have been attempting this rose since i was in fourth grade. I'm in 10th grade now, and today i came across your video and tried it once again. It finally worked. Thank you so much.
First ever attempt at any origami. Wanted to make a few roses for my girlfriend. A lot of the easier ones looked a bit simple, so wanted to make this one. Tried 4-5 different methods before watching this video. First one wasnt perfect but definitely usable. Second one onwards were perfect, all thanks to this video!
Oh, thank you for help me! When I was young, I fold a paper rose and I known well how to do and now times pass away I forgot how to fold which I did way and now you help me remind how to do that. Yes it is. it is a way I used I think maybe ;) So I mean thank you really. God bless you!
Your instructions are so clear. Thank you very much! I thought that my paper tore when collapsing the square down, but it just went plop! and folded perfectly.
This is the most realistic rose that I've ever fold!! This tutorial helps me to fold the rose completely. Hope you'll make another tutorial soon... Anyway... Keep it up!
Hi, thank you very much for this video, I searched for an Origami Rose video for a long time and I´m a beginner, so some models were too difficult for me, and the easy ones just didn`t look beautiful or real. Your video explains everything so well and the result is totally beautiful :) The "houses" were the point when I got stuck at the beginning, but once you know how it works, it get`s really easy. Great instruction and great result, thank you :) Greetings
This is the most simple and well explained tutorial on youtube! Thanks a lot! I was able to fold it! if you want, I can share a CP I created while watching your video.
This is the best tutorial ever! Thank you for making! Would you please do a video tutorial for the New Kawasaki Rose? I would love to learn how to make that one too! Thanks!
Would you be able to make a video for the kawasaki stem pieces? I can't find very good videos on it and your video of the rose head is the very best on youtube. Thank you.
Ja és l tercera vegada que començo. Jos sí puc!. Se fer roses més fàcils però aquesta la treurés. No estic atenta a fer les línies, però ja m'en sortiré. Gràcies per aquest vídeo.
I'm having real difficulty getting the paper to behave correctly once I get to the 2nd part of the compression stage (after all the little houses are made). My rose is always cattywampus no matter how many times I do it, and I've been doing origami for years so it's definitely not my creases being off. Any tips or suggestions? I'm using Zoko brand double sided origami paper (matte not glossy). Should I try it with a softer, more pliable paper?

the easiest I have ever done this rose. Usually takes me at least an hour or more. Video is clear and precise. Thank you.
Thank you Jo-ann!

Bless you for fast-forwarding through the folds. It doesn't take away from the learning experience and it saves a lot of time.

omg.. i lost when u are doing the house thingy
I feel bad for anyone who cut the paper into 16 pieces in the beginning.
