@@ambr3301 Hey, kiddo. Here's some advice I wish I had at your age. Failure is how you learn and succeed. I gave up on the crane after I couldn't get it from paper instructions. I felt dumb because I didn't understand, but I just needed the right learning tool for me. Keep trying with different videos, written instructions, diagrams, or whatever helps you learn best! I hope this helps you make a crane and/or reminds you not to give up on whatever you want to do.

Back in Christmas 1997, I was in a high school play about post-WW2 Hiroshima and the city's folk heroine, Sadako Sasaki. The actress who played Sadako had to fold origami cranes as part of her characterization. After the play's run had come to an end, my old elementary school asked me to show them how to make cranes, so I had to ask the actress who played Sadako to show me how to do it before I could teach the kids. Thankfully, she was very helpful and I was able to be a good teacher for the kids.

The theme is “World Tours” where each day the kids will get to experience different pieces of cultures around the world. Paper cranes have always given me a good bit of anxiety and stress figuring out (it’s a long story 😂)! They gave me a book that gave instructions on how to do it - I’ve probably spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to figure them out. Anyway - after testing it out with your video I think I can actually do it and hopefully help them not also develop the same irrational fear I’ve had all these years!🎉🎉🎉🎉

I always return to this tutorial. The step by step stages are very clear to follow. I have made many cranes by following your tutorial. I stringing them in threes for a window display and it was quite effective. Thank you.

I watched two other videos before this to try and make a paper crane and this is the only one that helped. They were on sticky note paper cranes because that was what i was making but this video with a bigger paper helped more.
