@@ambr3301 Hey, kiddo. Here's some advice I wish I had at your age. Failure is how you learn and succeed. I gave up on the crane after I couldn't get it from paper instructions. I felt dumb because I didn't understand, but I just needed the right learning tool for me. Keep trying with different videos, written instructions, diagrams, or whatever helps you learn best! I hope this helps you make a crane and/or reminds you not to give up on whatever you want to do.
I agree! I am 11 years old as well (the person who also responded here), and the only main thing I struggle with in origami is corners. They're always a little bit creased, but overall, it turned out pretty good. But then again, I have been doing origami for like a year. If anyone knows anything that can help me at all, please let me know!
Back in Christmas 1997, I was in a high school play about post-WW2 Hiroshima and the city's folk heroine, Sadako Sasaki. The actress who played Sadako had to fold origami cranes as part of her characterization. After the play's run had come to an end, my old elementary school asked me to show them how to make cranes, so I had to ask the actress who played Sadako to show me how to do it before I could teach the kids. Thank you!! I have recently been appointed to be in charge of a summer camp and the director REALLY wanted me to do paper cranes with them.
