And also, sales would most likely not go through the roof, lots of enthusiasts would surely buy them but the majority of average joes just want a comfortable, well equipped and cheap car. An old VW bus would only tick the last one. The new ID Buzz is probably as close to the old one they can make it and still fit the modern day demands for safety, comfort and equipment. Don't talk about the pricing though. 😞

My dad bought a new one in 1965 to replace our 1959 bug. What a huge difference in room. We could use it with mom,dad and three kids. He eventually gave it to my brother in about 1972 and my brother put a Corvair engine in it. Had to change the ring-gear because the Corvair engine turned in a different direction. I learned to drive in that bus and took my drivers test in it in November 0f 1968. As with every other thing he ever had, my brother ran the thing into the ground. I am not sure if he junked it or sold it for pennies. I wish I had it now. Those things have become valuable. At one time you could get a used one for hundreds of dollars. This collection is the best I have ever seen. Thanks for sharing.

My dad had bought a brand new, canary yellow vw in the 70s. He sold it on some 20 years later after an accident. I would give anything to have it back, spent the best years of our lives in that van, camping, fishing, travelling, etc. My heart breaks everytime I see videos on these beautiful machines.
That's why I can't look at antiques or collectibles or anything that relates to some of my collections that have long disappeared I've lost about five buildings full of collectibles and artifacts and antiques and I can't even look at the roadshow anymore it just breaks my heart
@@totalcontrol4205 wow that's a good question and I'm sure there's probably a bunch of reasons why I lost all this stuff the first time I lost a mother load was at a storage place and they knew I had a lot of good stuff there and when I was just a little bit late with my rent as I always was I came in to pay the rent and the guy told me oh we had an auction yesterday all your stuff was sold so that was one building and let me tell you if I gave you a list of stuff that was in that building you'd be sad too probably and the next four car garage that I had filled with goodies was due to that the person that owned the garage was selling the building and I just had no place to move the stuff and I tried to get some help from some people who could sell stuff online but time was ticking and everything was taken yeah that's my story I wish I didn't have to stick to it but thanks for asking anyway
