Art which music is included, is always worth our time. That doesn’t mean we have to enjoy it. And that’s art for you

Well thats a load of clap. You cant pop psychology your way through understanding all musicians. Artists not showing their rough work may have something to do with perfectionism for some. But to assert for all that it is and theyre trying to create an illusion is just goofy.
Im not a pop star but ive made art before. Wrote songs. Nearly finished a book. And i want people to enjoy the finished version, not because im ashamed of earlier ones or i want to come across as perfect. Its because its my job as a writer is to bring the audience on an emotional journey, and naturally my finished version will be most effective at achieving my goal.
Thats in no way to say releasing a load of demos doesnt take a level of confidence and vulnerablity. It absolutely does. But to then use that to imply other artists lack confidence and vulnerablity is just wrong headed and unsupported.
